When you dj using the equipment she was using (cdj300s) you need to have each track you are playing analyzed by a program called rekordbox. Relordbox identifies amongst other things the key and beats per minute (bpm) of a song.

Sometimes rekordbox misidentifies bpm and labels a track as 40 when it's really 80 or 60'when it's actually 120. That's because from a djs perspective there's literally no difference between 40 and 80

When this happens it's the easiest thing in the world to correct. All you need to be able to do is multiply or divide by two and adjust your equipment

Grimes couldn't even figure that out. She's less of a dj than Paris Hilton, who actually knows how to dj and could have recovered from the setback without a moments thought.

r24, there were people on Reddit saying that they've been hearing her DJ for some time, and she could never cross fade the tracks together.

She doesn't know how to beatmix her tracks, which is something you can learn in about an hour or so. It's kind of the foundation of DJing.
