I'm not psychic, but I feel like there's going to be a big celebrity death some time this summer

It's going to be unexpected, so not anyone very old or sick. Mathew Perry level shock.

by Anonymousreply 72April 19, 2024 7:11 PM

I wouldn't say Matthew Perry's death was a shock.

by Anonymousreply 1April 15, 2024 10:32 AM

It was to everyone not in the know, which is 99% of the people.

by Anonymousreply 2April 15, 2024 10:36 AM

Celebrities die every year.

by Anonymousreply 3April 15, 2024 10:39 AM

It's Bruce Willis.

by Anonymousreply 4April 15, 2024 10:43 AM

Bruce Willis wouldn't be a shock given how he's deteriorated.

by Anonymousreply 5April 15, 2024 11:19 AM

The only big celebrity death I want to see is that orange-hued fuckface's.

by Anonymousreply 6April 15, 2024 11:23 AM

He's 77, overweight and treats his body like a garbage can. I wouldn't be shocked.

by Anonymousreply 7April 15, 2024 11:26 AM

Next, OP will predict that the sun will rise tomorrow.

by Anonymousreply 8April 15, 2024 11:28 AM

Vadge

by Anonymousreply 9April 15, 2024 11:30 AM

True- you are NOT psychic

You ARE psychotic

by Anonymousreply 10April 15, 2024 11:32 AM

Matthew Perry's death was a shock? Maybe a mild surprise, but everyone knew it was just a matter of time. He was a (formally hot) mess, like a more famous version of Tom Sizemore.

by Anonymousreply 11April 15, 2024 11:52 AM

If you're not a psychic, OP, then your feelings are meaningless and unreliable. Any REAL psychics on this thread?

by Anonymousreply 12April 15, 2024 12:08 PM

Beyonce, plane crash.

And then she'll finally get a (posthumous) Grammy for album of the year.

by Anonymousreply 13April 15, 2024 12:52 PM

It would have to be someone very famous, young, and in good health for it to be a big celebrity death.

- You don't have to be a psychic

by Anonymousreply 14April 15, 2024 12:55 PM

R13 Don't get me all excited.

by Anonymousreply 15April 15, 2024 1:55 PM

Joe Biden probably. Or Cher.

by Anonymousreply 16April 15, 2024 2:32 PM

No need to be a psychic for that, OP.

by Anonymousreply 17April 15, 2024 2:41 PM

After OP's sunrise prediction, my money's something about smoking.

by Anonymousreply 18April 15, 2024 2:48 PM

Would I qualify?

by Anonymousreply 19April 17, 2024 12:54 AM

[quote]I'm not psychic...

No shit, OP. Because no one is.

by Anonymousreply 20April 17, 2024 7:13 AM

One of the candidates for POTUS.

by Anonymousreply 21April 17, 2024 8:16 AM

There hasn’t been a Diana/JFK, Jr. level death this century.

by Anonymousreply 22April 17, 2024 8:20 AM

It's Da King!

by Anonymousreply 23April 17, 2024 8:50 AM

Hunter Biden, while snorting coke out of a stripper's crack. The nation mourns the tragedy.

by Anonymousreply 24April 17, 2024 12:17 PM

It’s Justin Bieber. My niece will be shattered.

by Anonymousreply 25April 17, 2024 12:23 PM

Kid Rock, while cleaning his gun.

by Anonymousreply 26April 17, 2024 12:35 PM

When Natalie Wood died in 1981 and Princess Grace died in 1982, both of their untimely deaths were front page stories for days on end.

by Anonymousreply 27April 17, 2024 12:50 PM

R20, I knew you were going to say that.

by Anonymousreply 28April 17, 2024 12:53 PM

Are you SURE you’re not a psychic?

by Anonymousreply 29April 17, 2024 12:54 PM

I have to say. There are a lot of famous people who are in their 80's and 90's now. OP you have to mean someone besides Jimmy Carter, right?

I hope it's not Catherine of Wales or her father-in-law. I really do. If anyone connected to the RF might kick it, it would be the cadaverous Kent. He's already peeing on himself.

by Anonymousreply 30April 17, 2024 12:59 PM

Pee Diddy will be suiceded.

by Anonymousreply 31April 17, 2024 2:24 PM

You’re all gonna miss Timmy when he’s gone.

by Anonymousreply 32April 17, 2024 2:25 PM

He IS the people's princess, r32.

by Anonymousreply 33April 17, 2024 2:27 PM

Fellow non-psychic here, but I think it will happen sooner than summer. It really is time for a big celebrity death.

by Anonymousreply 34April 17, 2024 2:29 PM

[quote]There hasn’t been a Diana/JFK, Jr. level death this century.

Michael Jackson was shocking, and not same level but Kobe Bryant was also unexpected.

by Anonymousreply 35April 17, 2024 2:30 PM

You’re a psycho

by Anonymousreply 36April 17, 2024 2:31 PM

Oh, indeed, R33. But he’s 28, which removes the element of eeriness which is needed when going out with a truly epic splash.

by Anonymousreply 37April 17, 2024 2:34 PM

R35, Diana and JFK, Jr. were both in their thirties, thriving and healthy.

MJ’s death was as “unexpected” as Whitney’s.

by Anonymousreply 38April 17, 2024 2:35 PM

[quote][R35], Diana and JFK, Jr. were both in their thirties, thriving and healthy.

Oh, please, a Kennedy dying tragic death is not surprising.

by Anonymousreply 39April 17, 2024 2:37 PM

a tragic*

by Anonymousreply 40April 17, 2024 2:37 PM

I’m going to chime in and say that while Matthew Perry’s death was a major news story, nobody was shocked. I remember they were joking about Perry’s addictions on Married… With Children a hundred years ago.

by Anonymousreply 41April 17, 2024 2:41 PM

I think Whitney's death was a moderate shock. It wasn't surprising once it happened but I don't think at the time many thought she was past hope. To the extent I thought about it I thought at some point she's going to rehab and have a third act.

by Anonymousreply 42April 17, 2024 2:42 PM

Everyone is expecting it, but Britney's death will be huge news!

by Anonymousreply 43April 17, 2024 2:44 PM

Seriously, R39?

by Anonymousreply 44April 17, 2024 2:45 PM

That's not shock that's commerce.

by Anonymousreply 45April 17, 2024 2:45 PM

Of course it made the news, r44.

You will find as many covers (if not more) about MJ.

by Anonymousreply 46April 17, 2024 2:54 PM

Oh please, r44, even Anna Nicole Smith got several covers when she died.

by Anonymousreply 47April 17, 2024 2:58 PM

R47 is either very young or very old. The entire nation came to a halt when JFK, Jr.’s plane was reported missing in July of 1999.

by Anonymousreply 48April 17, 2024 3:06 PM

I never said they didn't, 48, I just pointed out that I think Michael Jackson's death was shocking. Maybe not being in the US explains why JFK Jr's death didn't have the same impact over here. It was in the news of course, but nothing like in the US.

Anyway, enough derailing the thread.

Go on, guys. Sorry!

by Anonymousreply 49April 17, 2024 3:14 PM

Dare we hope the person looks like a greasy orange slug?

Has any done an image of him as Jabba the Hutt?

by Anonymousreply 50April 17, 2024 3:43 PM

it will be an OD.

by Anonymousreply 51April 17, 2024 3:54 PM

THink of all the celebrity aviators:John Travolta, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford. They all fly their own planes.

Although an OD is more probable.

by Anonymousreply 52April 17, 2024 5:25 PM

Done way back in 2017.

by Anonymousreply 54April 17, 2024 5:47 PM

[quote]The entire nation came to a halt when JFK, Jr.’s plane was reported missing in July of 1999.

That never happened. Yes, people were talking about it. The nation coming to a halt?...No.

by Anonymousreply 55April 17, 2024 6:08 PM

R55 I remember it well. I was sitting at the laundromat watching the TV there, and a news report came on saying his plane was missing. The reaction from everyone, including me, was "Oh, how awful." But that was about it. I don't recall the nation coming to a halt.

by Anonymousreply 56April 17, 2024 6:21 PM

My much despised aunt called my mother on Saturday morning to tell her, I answered the phone and she screamed at me to put television on because the Kennedy kid was dead! This was before the networks were reporting he was dead. She had made the decision ahead of time.

by Anonymousreply 57April 17, 2024 6:25 PM

[quote]Although an OD is more probable.

OD died last week.

by Anonymousreply 58April 17, 2024 6:47 PM

True story. My father was newly married to my mom and working as a journalist for the local paper. He was at a diner for lunch when he saw JFK getting shot on the tv there. He raced back to the paper and yelled to them to stop the presses as the evening edition was going to print. He beat the ticker tape machine.

That's my JFK story.

by Anonymousreply 63April 17, 2024 8:08 PM

OP = Sylvia Browne.

by Anonymousreply 64April 17, 2024 8:21 PM

Bush is gonna die. he's old as fuck

by Anonymousreply 65April 17, 2024 10:40 PM

R62 Wow. News headlines designed to be sensational and attract readers.

Who'd have thunk it?

by Anonymousreply 66April 17, 2024 11:03 PM

You got the gift OP!

You got the GIFT!

by Anonymousreply 67April 17, 2024 11:15 PM

Deaths of MJ, Anna Nicole, Prince and the like are sensational and captivating because of how bizarre their celebrity lifestyles were. Sleep via Dr.-administered anaesthetic? Sipping liquid through a baby bottle? Copious pharmaceuticals on site? Emergency private plane landing the day before? What's not too love?

by Anonymousreply 68April 17, 2024 11:26 PM

[quote] Bush is gonna die. he's old as fuck

He’s the same age as Dataloungers.

by Anonymousreply 69April 17, 2024 11:48 PM

Did someone say "big celebrity death?"

Don't worry. I'm fine. Unemployed and boyfriend-less, but I'm fine.

And starving.

by Anonymousreply 70April 17, 2024 11:50 PM

[quote]He’s the same age as Dataloungers.

Yeah, but he doesn't look 25 like we do!

by Anonymousreply 71April 18, 2024 9:28 AM

You ARE psychic, OP!
