From For Your Eyes Only (1977)
Nobody DOES It Better
I knew I had to be quick about correcting my typo otherwise the Oh Deer TROLL would appear

by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 15, 2024 2:51 AM |
Nobody does it like I do. Or with so many!
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 15, 2024 2:59 AM |
My favorite Bond theme song!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 15, 2024 3:02 AM |
OP how about the person who points out that the film was The Spy Who Loved Me?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | April 15, 2024 3:03 AM |
I want to have your babies, R5. Or at least try!

Ben was born in 1977.
She had a fair number of years to wait until she could say nobody does it better.
Depending on the meaning of "it."
I assume it means lathering suntan lotion. Or something.

R5- I'm not even on drugs or drunk-I'm not as smart as I used to be.
That happens to be the very first James Bond movie I saw in the theater with my parents ( I was only 12) in the winter of 1978. I enjoyed it too.

If Carly had been a guy (and the nose:dick proportions are real...), she would have had a BIGGUN!
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 15, 2024 3:26 AM |
I can never hear it without thinking of this scene.

Originally, the producers of the movie wanted Barbra Streisand to record the song for the movie, and asked her friend Marvin Hamlisch, the composer, to step in and convince her to record the song. He tried, but she said 'no', as she wasn't interested in recording a theme song for a movie she was not starring in. ( A year later, her boyfriend Jon Peters convinced her to record 'Prisoner' from 'Eyes of Laura Mars', even though he couldn't convince her star in the movie). NDIB was a huge hit, while 'Prisoner' was not.
I don't believe Streisand spoke about turning down the Bond song in her memoir.

It’s from The Spy Who Loved Me.
Sheesh.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 15, 2024 4:54 AM |
It's even in the song lyrics.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 15, 2024 6:13 AM |
R14, as R5 pointed out.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | April 15, 2024 6:19 AM |
R15, nonsense!
Nobody is it better... For your eyes only... Cabbage ham-hocks, soup bones, dildo!!! Maybe next time, you'll buy me a pony!

Julie at R6 is just awful. And she changed the spy to the man,

I think the lack of an editing option is just plain cruel. Of course, the Data Lounge is renowned for its cruelty.

Sheena Easton sounds fab singing this!
And the movie, MOONRAKER, is one of the finest Bond entries.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | April 15, 2024 7:33 AM |
Is Carly singing about her dad?

And yet you still didn't spare yourself from me. The "Oh Deer" troll?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 15, 2024 8:04 AM |
r18 if it's Julie, shouldn't it be the "gal who loved me"?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | April 15, 2024 12:18 PM |
No -with Julie it's an homage to her late husband. "The man who loved me is keeping all my secrets safe tonight." Neither ever exposed their lavender marriage.

I always liked the theme song Goldfinger better.
It’s from the film Octopussy.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | April 15, 2024 7:08 PM |
Surprisingly, the song "Goldfinger" is actually from the film "Goldfinger," R28.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 15, 2024 7:19 PM |
R29 bless your heart. I think R28 was making fun of the people at the start of the thread who were clueless on which movie Carly actually sang for

Isn't Nobody Does It Better from A Star Is Born ?

by Anonymous | reply 36 | April 15, 2024 7:49 PM |
R33 All TIme High - Rita Coolidge
by Anonymous | reply 37 | April 15, 2024 7:50 PM |
No, no, no, R36! "I Need Eight Arms to Hold You" was the song in From Russia, Eight Gloves.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | April 15, 2024 7:51 PM |
I though All Time High just had to be from Moonraker.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | April 15, 2024 7:51 PM |
Moonraker is from Moonraker.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | April 15, 2024 7:52 PM |
Moonraker is to Moonraker as ___________ is to Thunderball.
Discuss.
