Interior nasal waxing - yay or nay?

I have a little machine that trims nose hair. It is quite good, but it sucks the hairs inside and I don’t get to see them when they have been trimmed, which is unsatisfied.

The guy that cuts my hair does it for me. My ears as well. Easy peasy.

If I need it between cuts, I use a contraption like R1 uses.

OP, my eyes are watering just thinking about it. If you like pain, go for it.

Waxing nose hairs is a terrible idea. That's an easy way to get bad infections.

Nose hairs should not be pulled out; they should be trimmed with scissors or an inexpensive trimming machine.

Doesn't staph live in your nose? Not a good idea.

Just to piggyback on what R5 said, but not sure if it's and old wives tale, but you should never wax your nose hairs because it could lead to an infection and it's very dangerous to have an infection to close to your brain.

I've seen these on Amazon and was tempted to buy until I read the comments above. The possibility of infection never occured to me. I'll stick with my nose hair trimmer. Thanks, DL!

I got a really bad, unstoppable nose bleed once from plucking a nose hair. To me, this procedure would be like taking that horrible experience and multiplying it by 100.

Without being too graphic, I read recently that touching inside your nose could be linked to forms of dementia, probably due to the potential for bacteria to cross the blood/brain barrier. I wonder if long term cocaine use is also linked.

Nose hairs are there for a reason. You need some degree up there to maintain health.

Try braiding them instead.

I'm thankful I rarely have an issue with nose hair, occasionally I will just yank one...with freshly washed hand.

My mother told me that plucking nose hairs will give you the cancer.

Just let it keep growing and you can pair it with your mustache.

Removing too much hair may make you more sensitive to these kinds of debris. Plucking your hairs can also lead to irritation, infections, and ingrown hairs.

Just use finger nail clippers. The small concave blades snip only the ends.

A professional waxer will remove only the lower portion of hairs. It’s painful but only for a split second. It’s not something I’d attempt on my own.

An electric or battery-powered trimmer works well, for me, anyway.

I turned 50 and all of a sudden nose and ear hair became a thing. They don't tell you this stuff. And what's even more interesting is that some of my nose hair is grey. I've thought about nose and ear hair waxing, but decided against it. I've stuck with the nose hair trimmers, but haven't been able to find a decent one.

I learned the hard way not to trim my nose hair with scissors or a nasal clipper.

The problem?

The blunt end of a trimmed hair can cause irritation as the hair grows and touches the interior nostril on the opposite side.

I just pull down two more, braid them and stick a bead on it!

I just trim them if they stick out. I use poppers to stave off any infection. So far so good.

People have nasal hair. I'm not put off by it (never having seen, say, a forest of hair protruding from someone's nose).

For me it's irksome if the hairs get a bit long. When they start to do I make a quick, light buzz in each nostril with an electric clipper attachment, or the same with scissors sometimes. I'm not trying to Nair the inside of my nose, just tidy things up to a reasonable state and more comfortable as well.

My barber waxed my ears but. I told him not to wax my nose - as stated above, we need our nose hairs
