What do you guys think about the new establishing shots on the show?

I'm a fan of the establishing shots- the police station and hospital, in particular. The ones that make it look like Marlena's and Kayla's condos are in a sprawling metropolitan area are a bit much.

I liked New Tate more than I thought I would. I especially thought Old Tate finished on a high note with yesterday's episode - his last.

I also like the establishing shots. They used them on Beyond Salem and was surprised they were not continued when Days moved over to Peacock.

I have no clue about Marlena's home, although I have often thought the Johnson "home" made them seem like they lived in the slums.

There is a difference between Y&R and Days in terms of Sony. Y&R is owned mostly by Sony, with Bell owning small piece and Corday owning a very small piece. Days is owned by Corday and distributed by Sony. While Sony does have a say in Days, Sony is only the distributor. Sony has a bigger say in the direction at Y&R because they own most of it.

Having another show auto-starting ties into this. .. And the strategy to put Days on the Cock had less to do with the total number viewers the show might bring in and more to do with The Cock's hope that it would be a "gateway" show for them

I discovered Columbo, Poker Face, Girls 5Eva, and a ton of other shows because of Days being on Peacock. I even got caught up in The Way Home when I forgot to hit cancel on watch next during the Days credits
