I don't think that's true. Part of growing up gay is wondering who else might be gay as well, especially if you realized your sexuality at a young age. It's the guys who overthink every little interaction, the ones who think a man acting nice towards them, or acting like a decent human being is "sign" that ruin things for the rest of us. But I've seen gay men of all ages exhibit that behavior, and in some cases they were right and other times they were completely off the mark.
