In beautiful Kankakee, Illinois
Not a shining example of Wright's work thanks to a previous owner's decisions and buckets and buckets of white paint.
A lot of Wright design is still there, buried under the white paint, but its lesser spaces are a catalogue of cheap, bad decisions or neglect.
Needs $500K or so put into restoring the original look of the woodwork, a better exterior paint job, undoing some fucking ugly renovations in the kitchen, baths, and other spaces, and a basic level of electrical and plumbing updates. Nevermind the ugly Midwestern basement and any structural.
And then you would have a Wright house more expensive than sine better examples in better places, and not even fully restored. In Kankakee or wherever the fuck.

Crikey. It needs a lot of work. The wooden floors are gorgeous.
