Kathy Cargill wife of one of the Cargill heirs bought up multiple properties in Duluth, MN over the last year, paying well above market-price for them. When neighbors, the media, and the mayor raised questions, Cargill got angry. Her supposed and until now secretive plans - to build parks and community infrastructure - are now on hold, she says, because everyone in Duluth is so damn nosy and ask too many questions.
She's not selling the land she bought however. Instead she is now adding more landscaping so none of her new neighbors can see her estate. And she's also now saying all the properties she bought were total dumps and that even the best property was rat-infested.
