Travis Kelce plays a blocking position in a full contact sport - he has no business being cut to 12% or less bodyfat when he's expected to wrestle with linebackers. It would be detrimental to his performance. Furthermore, players typically bulk up in the offseason then cut around the time of training camp, all of them are going to lose a tremendous amount of weight during the season anyway. They are playing sports with specialized positions - not doing photoshoots or pornos. Being shredded and lean is not necessarily beneficial for many different athletes. It just looks sexier, that's all.

I enjoy all the DL threads attacking really toned gym rats who spend hours in the gym getting toned and cut as well as all those threads attacking world class athletes because they are not as toned and cut as those others that are always attacked .

R40 and R47 are the most insightful comments here. Jason and Travis are elite athletes... their bodies are structured for playing different positions in football. That's what so many of you do not see and yes, Travis is in off-season, so he's probably not working out, he's drinking and "relaxing" (and the could mean screwing Taylor over and over and over)

What happens next for Jason is, he blows up in weight. He's in his mid-30s and he's retired. After decades of on and off seasons in the NFL which includes crazy weight gain and training, he's now sedinary. I don't care if he starts talking about running or some combo of cardio and weights, he will never burn calories the way he did when playing.

He's already heavy (some would say fit/fat or just fat) and his metabolism is fucked after years of of NFL training. His body will be expecting calorie intake and big calorie burns. When it doesn't get big intake, it will start holding onto the calories and when it doesn't the explosive burns from football, he's get fat, fat, fat. I don't envy his future of weight gain, back, hip, knee and ankle pain.
