Maybe it’s time to concentrate on winning at the ballot box. Since the Jack Smith DC case is most unlikely to get to a verdict pre-election, I’m now of the opinion that it’s best to hope that it doesn’t even start by November. The more Trump is fulminating in the electorate’s face then the better for Biden. He cannot be out on the hustings as much while ensconced in court playing the martyr. So maybe it’s best that we have the Bragg case long over by November, hopefully with a guilty verdict on the felony charge, & not just one on the misdemeanor count.

The appeal decision today is fair. You can hate Trump all you want, but the half billion judgement was simply grossly overstated. I despise Dump, but this crime of fraud, inflating asset values without material victim damage, doesn't warrant destroying a company. $175MM is a HUUUGE fine in itself but allows for much better chance of his next appeal being rejected.

Trump appears to have gotten preferential treatment and there was very little justification or reasoning provided in the ruling.

R37, the fine wasn’t reduced (yet anyway), just the appeal bond amount.
