Get 'er, Datalounge!
Nicolle Wallace just had a baby at 51 too!

I just turned 51 and the thought of an infant in the house and raising it for the next 18 years is incredibly unappealing. Obviously, others feel differently..

Had no idea the old gal could still breed.
[quote]"We are feeling so blessed and grateful," said the post, which included an illustration with the words, "A little bird whispered to me."
Relieved to learn the inspiration behind the name is avian and not ecclesiastical in nature. Reese should take a note.

r2 It's so much easier when you're loaded, you just send them off to various paid activities or employ someone to help raise it for you.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | March 24, 2024 12:57 PM |
why'd she marry that short fug?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | March 24, 2024 12:59 PM |
They rented a womb. 51 year olds don’t have babies
by Anonymous | reply 6 | March 24, 2024 1:00 PM |
She did not carry or give birth to this baby lol—and that doesn’t matter anyway. Gen X is weird. Pushing having separate houses or bedrooms while married and starting to raise more kids in your 50’s. These aren’t very realistic ideas for most women.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | March 24, 2024 1:32 PM |
Baby came out dusty.

Frozen eggs and a surrogate.

Her husband looks trans.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | March 24, 2024 1:55 PM |
She didn't want pics of the baby shown due to 'privacy' but had no problem with her daughter being seen. To me, that spells t-a-r-d
by Anonymous | reply 11 | March 24, 2024 2:06 PM |
How dare she ascribe that baby a gender! It is up to that baby to decide if it is a 'son' or not.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | March 24, 2024 2:08 PM |
R12 the child needs puberty blockers ASAP!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | March 24, 2024 2:11 PM |
Is the baby wearing a potato sack with an arm growing out of its head?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 24, 2024 2:12 PM |
That’s the first pic I’ve ever seen of her daughter and she is very pretty
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 24, 2024 2:38 PM |
Her husband looks like one of those Gen X guys who dress/act like it's 1994, forever. Sad.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 24, 2024 2:43 PM |
Diaz married him because he won't cheat on her. A guy equally as goodlooking as Diaz is, would not remain faithful. Her age in this respect, is also against her.

I had a cousin once who didn't get her period for twenty years.
Then at 72 she got pregnant.
It's in the Garibaldi Book of Records in Sicily.

The mother is 51 and the father is 45.
My gifts for the baby are in the mail.

Women can have babies at 50 or older, and it’s not as much of an anomaly as you think. Adrienne Barbeau was 51 when she gave birth to twins, and Janet Jackson was 50 when she had her son.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 24, 2024 4:02 PM |
There are some women who don't want to go through the toll it takes on the body and would rather just use a surrogate. Cameron is most likely one of them, as she once famously said she was never "called to motherhood." Perhaps she didn't want to "destroy" her body, thought it would hurt her sex appeal or was even afraid of the entire pregnancy/birth process. It's painful and scary, and most women are afraid of what you will go through when it the time comes. That's natural.
There's nothing wrong with her saying that, nor her changing her mind, and for that matter using a surrogate to do the heavy lifting. She changed her mind, has the money and means and that's what she did. As long as everyone is happy, healthy and being loved and treated well, that's all that matters.
And agreed, r15 , that's the first pic I've seen of her daughter as well and she is a beautiful child.

I have a cousin who gave birth for the first time at 45. She soon after had a second child. She carried both herself but they were fertilized outside the womb with donor eggs. Her eggs were too old to harvest.
They are wealthy and have all the help and stuff they need to raise the kids. I would think the hardest part of elder parenthood is that you know you'll be gone earlier in your kids lives than if you'd had them win your 20s or 30s. My parents were in their early 20s when they had us and it still feels like they were gone too soon. Perhaps though, when elderly parents go they leave you with larger estates.

Yes, I got pregnant at 44 without trying, as did my mother. We are a fertile family. No one is saying it can't happen, just that it's a lot less likely given a woman's eggs are finite (and she has them all within her at the time of birth). Not to mention, they're a lot more likely to be be past their "use by" date.
She either had her eggs frozen, or rolled the dice and gambled that the ones she had harvested for in vitro would still be ready for prime time.
She seems like she might make a fun mom, but hopefully more than fun, but caring and nurturing as well. She does talk about how she's been there for Drew's offspring and "it takes a village" and all that, so maybe it took her awhile to come to a point in her life where she really felt like she could handle it and be able to give up the spotlight and focus attention on family and kids.

Of course they do.

Women mistake pregnancy for menopause. They used to call it change of life pregnancy. It happens.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | March 24, 2024 5:58 PM |
I certainly hope it was through surrogacy. The number of women who take fertility drugs and have children later in life who develop severe cancer later is extremely high.
Look at John Travolta's dead wife, Kelly.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | March 24, 2024 6:17 PM |
I had an acquaintance who had several goes at IVF and then finally had twins. She was dead from a brain tumor by the girls' 14th birthday. Very sad especially because dad succumbed to stomach cancer 6 months later.
So, has Diaz confirm that she used her frozen eggs? Her daughter with the wack name is very pretty.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | March 24, 2024 7:35 PM |
1st child was a surrogate.

by Anonymous | reply 36 | March 24, 2024 7:42 PM |
It's not like her 51 year-old ass is going to be taking care of the kid. The two nannies, personal assistant and housekeeper will be doing all the heavy lifting.

This was my paternal grandmother. She was 45 when my father was born. She thought it was "the change of life," as it was called in her era. Nope! Nine months later she and my 48 year-old grandfather were new parents. My father's brother and sister were both nearly 20 years older than him.
It happens.

Yes, women in their 50’s can get pregnant. Diaz did not give birth to either of her kids. She also has horrible taste in men. The only bf she ever had who was her equivalent in looks was Jared Leto, and he is a complete douche.

The Madden bros REALLY got around. Hilary Duff, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Kim K, Solange, Holly Madison, Dita Von Teese, Eliza Dushku, Cameron Diaz… what is it about these short, homely little trolls that has the Hollywood it-girls so dickmatized? It’s not even like Good Charlotte were all that popular or successful. They were a TRL flash in the pan and mainly appealed to middle school tweens.
Wild that Benji and Joel are living the high life, married to Cameron and Nicole.

The Madden Bros are like that guy from the Counting Crows who got Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox and the height of their beauty, fame popularity and careers. They were both in their 20’s and could take their pick of any guy and they choose him?
