I have no doubt that, if Mike Johnson gets these bills passed, any attempt to oust him will be voted down, with Dems voting against removing him. I think he made a deal with Dems, and as long Johnson doesn’t double cross them like McCarthy did, Johnson will remain speaker.

Mike Johnson isn't really showing any independence from old T-Rump; he only let the vote on Ukraine support go ahead when the fundamentalists framed it to him as a "religious freedom" issue (I guess they've decided Putin is more a threat to American fundamentalism than a "pro-Christian leader" or whatever they used to call him), and T-Rump didn't want to antagonize the religious right further after his abortion statements. According to an article I read in the WaPo Trump supported Mikey because he thinks it would be a bad look for them to dump him right now.
