I Eat a Large Bowl of Ice Cream Every Night

What's going to happen to me?

by Anonymousreply 73April 15, 2024 3:38 AM

That much dairy and sugar is not good for your body and will eventually catch up with you. Cut it back to once a week babe.

by Anonymousreply 1December 22, 2023 7:33 AM

Both my great grandparents did too. They also had two glasses of wine each night.

They lived to 98 and 96 respectively.

by Anonymousreply 2December 22, 2023 7:41 AM

It depends what else you're eating and how much exercise you're doing.

by Anonymousreply 3December 22, 2023 7:53 AM

[quote]What's going to happen to me?

The diabeetus.

by Anonymousreply 4December 22, 2023 8:10 AM

"What's going to happen to me? "

The same thing that happened to Matt LeBlanc...

You’ll be fine Chrissy Metz, just fine.

by Anonymousreply 6December 22, 2023 9:06 AM

Describe "large bowl", OP.

Pasta bowl? Serving bowl? Mixing bowl?

We can not provide an accurate timeframe as to your inevitable demise without this information.

by Anonymousreply 7December 22, 2023 9:07 AM

When I did that, I got up to 304 pounds.

My favorite was whiskey and chocolate chip ice cream.

by Anonymousreply 8December 22, 2023 9:19 AM

[quote]It depends what else you're eating and how much exercise you're doing.

This (plus R7's comment about how large the bowl is). If its almost all you're eating after a 60 km bicycle ride and 2 km lap swim every day, you will probably actually lose weight. But if its on top of three meals and drinks and you are totally sedentary you will get to 300 plus pounds and more

by Anonymousreply 9December 22, 2023 10:16 AM

One of my friends is eating ice-cream every night, not exercising and steadily getting bigger.

by Anonymousreply 10December 22, 2023 10:24 AM

FAT WHORE

by Anonymousreply 11December 22, 2023 10:27 AM

Ben of Ben & Jerry got a heart attack.

Of course, it's probably more dependent on how much you're eating overall and exercise.

by Anonymousreply 12December 22, 2023 12:30 PM

"What's going to happen to me?"

You'll fart a lot at night.

by Anonymousreply 13December 22, 2023 1:22 PM

Lots of gas.

by Anonymousreply 14December 22, 2023 1:30 PM

Depends on a helluva a lot of other things: what else do you eat, how much, how much activity and exercise, etc.

by Anonymousreply 15December 22, 2023 1:34 PM

You're going to become a big fat person, OP.

by Anonymousreply 16December 22, 2023 1:34 PM

R16 Don't you mean a great big fat person?

by Anonymousreply 17December 22, 2023 1:37 PM

Hollywood Bowl?

by Anonymousreply 18December 22, 2023 1:46 PM

My father always ate either a bowl of ice cream or a bowl of cereal before bedtime. He's 87.

But for as long as I can remember, he spent his leisure time playing tennis and basketball, and now that he's old, you guessed it: pickle ball. According to him, the younger guys in the 55+ park say he's really good!

by Anonymousreply 19December 22, 2023 1:56 PM

Try non fat yogurt and blueberries instead. Just as good.

by Anonymousreply 20December 22, 2023 1:56 PM

Now you've got me craving salted caramel gelato, OP. Thanks. Just when my eating disorder was keeping the pounds off.

by Anonymousreply 21December 22, 2023 2:07 PM

You'll die happy.

I just rolled my eyes so hard at R20 I think they broke.

by Anonymousreply 24December 22, 2023 2:44 PM

You will gain weight. Nothing puts on the pounds faster than ice cream.

by Anonymousreply 25December 22, 2023 2:47 PM

Two words, Op, "Chunky Monkey" from Ben & Jerry's 😜

by Anonymousreply 26December 22, 2023 2:47 PM

Your jeans are going to be doing a banana split.

by Anonymousreply 27December 22, 2023 2:48 PM

You could die tomorrow or in your 90s. Nobody knows anything. Only God knows and he's not giving any hints. Just don't attempt to cross a busy highway because you don't want to walk to the next light or bridge.

by Anonymousreply 28December 22, 2023 2:48 PM

[quote]Only God knows and he's not giving any hints

Gosh, I wonder why that is.

by Anonymousreply 29December 22, 2023 2:53 PM

[quote]You'll die happy.

And a lot sooner.

by Anonymousreply 30December 28, 2023 9:12 AM

Former fatty here. I used to eat ice cream every night. I now allow myself only to have it on weekends and I monitor how much so I don't eat too much. I also switched to gelato which is much better as far as fat goes and I think it has a better texture and taste.

I also was making my own at home and substituting Stevia for sugar and only using 80% dark chocolate chips in it.

I might go back to making it at home now that I think about it. It's easy and not too expensive to make.

by Anonymousreply 31December 28, 2023 9:38 AM

I have 3 Martinis every night

by Anonymousreply 32December 28, 2023 9:43 AM

[quote] after a 60 km bicycle ride

Most people aren’t going on a 2-4 hour bike ride each day.

by Anonymousreply 33December 28, 2023 10:22 AM

I know a chunky heifer who rides her bike a lot. But it can't counteract the effect of all the shitty food she eats.

by Anonymousreply 34December 28, 2023 10:35 AM

[quote]Most people aren’t going on a 2-4 hour bike ride each day.

R33, true, I probably only do that much once or twice a week on average, do around 15-20 km most days, but then I dont eat ice cream much, funnily enough I just dont like it all that much. I get a craving once every couple of months and have a small cone, thats about it

by Anonymousreply 35December 28, 2023 11:03 AM

My dad does that and has done for decades. He's skinny as a rail. He's now 86 years old and still has that huge bowl of ice cream every night.

by Anonymousreply 36December 28, 2023 11:06 AM

He must have a good metabolism.

by Anonymousreply 37December 28, 2023 11:09 AM

[quote]It depends what else you're eating and how much exercise you're doing.

It also depends on your genetics. Some people can eat ice cream every night and barely exercise at all, and live to a ripe old age. Some people can eschew all sweets and fats and exercise every day, and die of a heart attack at 50.

by Anonymousreply 38December 28, 2023 11:32 AM

OP has baby tastes. Probably in everything. Colossal (big fat) bore of a person.

by Anonymousreply 39December 28, 2023 11:35 AM

MOOBS for miles

by Anonymousreply 40December 28, 2023 11:45 AM

How old are you OP? In my early 20s I had an ice cream sundae with the works 4 or 5 times a week. This went on, on and off, for about a year when I had a very stressful job. I gained maybe 5 lbs. Now at 59, I can probably pull it off a couple of times a week because I'm active, but a) even that's ice cream overkill now, and more importantly b) I'll probably get runs in the middle of the night. That's the significant change with ice cream for me.

by Anonymousreply 41December 28, 2023 11:47 AM

R37 he has an incredible metabolism. I don't. It's very annoying and he doesn't understand why I don't want to eat huge amounts of food and ice cream with him. Lucky him. His brother is bigger than a house.

by Anonymousreply 42December 28, 2023 2:50 PM

It's probably helping your dad maintain a healthy weight at that age, r36. Older seniors have a harder time keeping weight on. My mother who was pleasantly plump after childbirth maintained the same weight until her mid 70s when she lost the plumpness. I was amazed by the amount of food and pastry she could put away through her 80s and not gain. Towards the late 80s she started seriously losing weight as her appetite diminished.

by Anonymousreply 43December 28, 2023 6:13 PM

OP, what brands and flavors of ice cream do you favor?

by Anonymousreply 44December 28, 2023 6:21 PM

You're fine as long as it's organic and uses real sugar.

by Anonymousreply 45December 28, 2023 6:25 PM

[quote]You're fine as long as it's organic and uses real sugar.

LOL, as the kids used to say.

by Anonymousreply 46December 29, 2023 12:33 AM

Nothing to you. Personally I always get cramps and diarrhea. Which I don’t understand because I’ve always been a milk freak. It’s like liquid food to me.

by Anonymousreply 47December 29, 2023 1:07 AM

Says the fattie R46.

by Anonymousreply 48December 29, 2023 3:32 AM

What are your lipids levels? Cholesterol, HDL, LDL?

I'd say it will catch up with you. That's a lot of sugar and fat to ingest every night. The only thing worse would be donuts (sugar, fat, and refined carbs).

I don't think yogurt "tastes just as good."

However, you might try Fage 5% yogurt with some honey.

by Anonymousreply 49December 29, 2023 6:30 AM

Kidney stones.

by Anonymousreply 50December 29, 2023 7:25 AM

[quote]I'd say it will catch up with you. That's a lot of sugar and fat to ingest every night. The only thing worse would be donuts (sugar, fat, and refined carbs).

But it's fine as long as it's "organic" and made with "real sugar," according to the delusional fatty at R48.

by Anonymousreply 51December 29, 2023 7:42 AM

I know a chronic overeater who has Type 1 Diabetes from all the crappy food they've ingested.

by Anonymousreply 52December 29, 2023 7:46 AM

No you don't, R52. No one gets Type 1 diabetes from eating crappy food. Look it up.

by Anonymousreply 53December 29, 2023 7:49 AM

Sounds more like type 2 diabetes, R52.

by Anonymousreply 54December 29, 2023 7:50 AM

Someday, OP, maybe soon, you'll wake up and find you are a big giant fatty dripping blob of ice cream. Run to the freezer! Quickly! you'll melt!

by Anonymousreply 55December 29, 2023 7:53 AM

R52, sorry it is T2.

And they still eat loads of crap.

by Anonymousreply 56December 29, 2023 8:27 AM

[quote]What's going to happen to me?

You're going to die in your sleep. But at least you will have enjoyed one last bowl of ice cream.

by Anonymousreply 57April 13, 2024 2:15 AM

[quote]Try non fat yogurt and blueberries instead. Just as good.

Anybody here stupid enough to believe this? Hands?

by Anonymousreply 58April 13, 2024 2:19 AM

You'll go to bed happy every night. Enjoy!

I don’t have one every night, but Walmart’s 100 calorie ice cream bars are a favorite of mine for an after dinner treat.

by Anonymousreply 61April 13, 2024 2:32 AM

I hate when I see someone state that that eat yogurt with something extra they add to it. Just eat the fucking yogurt the way it is. It’s a fatty mentality that food needs to have something added to it. If anything people should be thinking about taking something out, not adding anything to food that is fine the way it is.

by Anonymousreply 62April 13, 2024 2:37 AM

I eat a large cold bowl of fuck you every night

by Anonymousreply 63April 13, 2024 2:39 AM

What flavor?

by Anonymousreply 64April 13, 2024 2:44 AM

Well, it beats sherbert

by Anonymousreply 65April 13, 2024 3:00 AM

You'll get fat, OP. Nothing puts on the pounds faster than ice cream. Have a spoonful or two a day if you must indulge.

by Anonymousreply 66April 13, 2024 3:20 AM

Get a Ninja Creami and you can make around 100 calorie ice cream, sorbets, etc. with very low carb/sugar and high protein.

by Anonymousreply 67April 13, 2024 3:34 AM

[quote]Well, it beats sherbert

What about sherbet?

by Anonymousreply 68April 13, 2024 4:56 AM

It’s a Fact. Natalie Schafer, Lovie Howell of “Gilligan’s Island” fame, subsisted on nothing but ice cream, and she lived to be a very old and happy woman.

by Anonymousreply 69April 13, 2024 7:38 AM

Instead of punishing herself with non-fat yogurt, R69?

by Anonymousreply 70April 13, 2024 7:49 AM

Nancy Reagan was right, OP. She said you could have dessert any time you like.

You just can’t eat anything else that day.

by Anonymousreply 71April 13, 2024 12:14 PM

You will die a happy man, OP.

by Anonymousreply 72April 15, 2024 3:10 AM

Keep it up. Your insides will eventually freeze and you will turn into a gigantic Mr Softee, shitting out copious swirling cones of deliciousness for the masses.
