I like his body, especially his tree trunk thighs…

Hubba Hubba!! Those are some hot meaty thighs!

by Anonymousreply 1August 1, 2023 4:02 PM

No basket, no basket, no basket -- swing batter!

by Anonymousreply 2August 1, 2023 4:08 PM

What did he die of?

by Anonymousreply 3August 1, 2023 4:10 PM

Plus he had a sweet face. He als was a shameless momma’s boy.

by Anonymousreply 4August 1, 2023 4:13 PM
What did he die of?

Strangely, he died of a disease that he was named after.

by Anonymousreply 5August 1, 2023 4:14 PM

Bugger me gently.

by Anonymousreply 6August 1, 2023 4:15 PM

R4 You aren't kidding. He wouldn't take a shit without her permission. I read his wife's memoir. He was an asshole.

by Anonymousreply 7August 1, 2023 4:20 PM

Lou Gehrig was also among the most talented athlete to ever play first base. And he a bit shy and private but was an all around good guy. It's still impactful and tragic that such a strong athlete would die from ALS at a young age of 37.

by Anonymousreply 8August 1, 2023 4:23 PM
It's still impactful

Oh, [italic]dear.[/italic]

by Anonymousreply 9August 1, 2023 4:27 PM

R7 Lou? How was he an asshole? Everything I’ve ever read about him states the opposite. What can you tell us? Without having to go buy the book?

by Anonymousreply 10August 1, 2023 4:27 PM

He looks so healthy!

by Anonymousreply 11August 1, 2023 4:29 PM

Catnip for cankle fetishists

by Anonymousreply 12August 1, 2023 4:32 PM

R10 he probably only nice to the right people.

I despise people like who treat their family members like shit, but others, who can advance their careers, they are kind to…

by Anonymousreply 13August 1, 2023 4:37 PM

He's hot, in ways I didn't realize. His daughter directed Barbie, right?

by Anonymousreply 14August 1, 2023 4:47 PM
Catnip for cankle fetishists

Hubba, hubba!

by Anonymousreply 15August 1, 2023 4:47 PM

The man who took his title, Cal Ripken Jr., had an ass and thighs to die for. Is that a pre-requisite for being Iron Man?

by Anonymousreply 16August 1, 2023 4:48 PM

R13 sorry I should have proofed my damn post. It was a hot mess.

by Anonymousreply 17August 1, 2023 5:06 PM

Cal Ripkin is a true asshole.

by Anonymousreply 18August 1, 2023 5:29 PM

Lou Gehrig did not treat his family "like shit."

By all accounts, he was a genuinely nice man.

And...Woof! Those legs!!!

by Anonymousreply 19August 1, 2023 5:30 PM

He was also for integrating baseball and loved playing exhibition games with the Negro Leagues. Never ever heard anything bad about him.

by Anonymousreply 20August 1, 2023 5:33 PM
Cal Ripkin is a true asshole.

Besides some people saying he was selfish for refusing to sit out a game (which kept his streak alive) and for sometimes traveling on separate buses and staying in different hotels than his teammates, I haven't heard any truly asshole-ish stories about him. What have you heard?

by Anonymousreply 21August 1, 2023 5:34 PM

Doesn't appear to have Gary Cooper's endowment.

by Anonymousreply 22August 1, 2023 5:35 PM

Eleanor Gehrig was even dumber than her husband, but unlike her husband, loved money and fame so she treated his controlling, abusive behavior as a joke. He told her what to say and how to say it. A few days after they were married and she didn't want to go out after dinner he jumped up, said something horrible and disappeared for days. Hahaha. She never put forth an opinion again, reserving her anger for her tyrannical cunt of a mother-in-law while Lou displaced his aggression and hostility onto Eleanor. Even fawning articles would mention how Gehrig was 'sensitive' which meant if you lived with him or tried to be his friend he would cut you dead if you offended his razor-thin skin.

Nobody criticized him because he didn't HAVE any friends. But yeah, he was a great player and maybe if he hadn't died at 37 he would have grown a personality.

by Anonymousreply 23August 1, 2023 5:53 PM

Wow r23, what’s the name of the book?

by Anonymousreply 24August 1, 2023 5:54 PM
Strangely, he died of a disease that he was named after.

Wow, what are the odds???

by Anonymousreply 25August 1, 2023 5:56 PM

He was the luckiest, luckiest, man, man, on, on, the, the face, face, of, of the, the earth, earth.

by Anonymousreply 26August 1, 2023 5:57 PM

Sounds like he was repressed or something.

by Anonymousreply 27August 1, 2023 5:57 PM
He was an asshole.

Family Guy had his number. Not a nice man.

I’d bet good money R23 is a woman and pulled all of that out of her asshole.

by Anonymousreply 32August 1, 2023 7:03 PM

R24 'Lou Gehrig and I' (oh, dear). I picked up the copy from some thrift pile because I love baseball and was a fan of the guy, and because my sister died from Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS). On the upside it made me appreciate Babe Ruth more.

by Anonymousreply 33August 1, 2023 7:21 PM

The real question: was he hung? Cut/uncut?

by Anonymousreply 34August 1, 2023 7:31 PM

*My Luke and I*

by Anonymousreply 35August 1, 2023 8:45 PM

From the looks of him, in that second picture he could have leaned on his dick to stand as much as that club.

by Anonymousreply 36August 1, 2023 8:52 PM

He played baseball for Columbia. In the old days, the baseball diamond was in the middle of campus.

Very interesting, R37. Great pic.

by Anonymousreply 38August 1, 2023 9:20 PM

MY LUKE AND I is way too pricey on Amazon.

by Anonymousreply 39August 4, 2023 1:19 AM

The photo on left evokes a more masculinish Lady Bird Johnson to me.

by Anonymousreply 40August 4, 2023 1:41 AM

Was he a stranger to the man sex?

by Anonymousreply 41August 9, 2023 11:28 PM

Yes r41, he and Babe Ruth were having a steamy affair for years.

by Anonymousreply 42August 10, 2023 12:19 AM

Although teammates, he & the Babe were not close.

by Anonymousreply 43August 10, 2023 12:40 AM

Legend has it that Babe only knew one teammates name. It was Lou because Lou was the only player that was on his level.

by Anonymousreply 44August 10, 2023 1:00 AM

Sexy with his clothes on too…

by Anonymousreply 45September 6, 2023 1:54 PM

by Anonymousreply 46September 6, 2023 1:58 PM

He's the textbook definition of a "Big Lug."

by Anonymousreply 47September 6, 2023 3:11 PM

He's very handsome.

by Anonymousreply 48September 6, 2023 3:37 PM
loved playing exhibition games with the Negro Leagues.

In the locker room.

by Anonymousreply 49September 6, 2023 3:54 PM

He was quite the beefy muscular guy for his era.

by Anonymousreply 50September 6, 2023 3:58 PM

Way hotter than DiMaggio.

by Anonymousreply 51September 6, 2023 4:07 PM

Eh. He reminds me of a T-Rex.

by Anonymousreply 52September 6, 2023 4:55 PM

And he went to Columbia.

by Anonymousreply 53September 6, 2023 5:47 PM

Adorable. A big teddy bear of a man.

by Anonymousreply 54September 7, 2023 1:54 PM

Those tree trunks are sexy as fuck. I'll bet he threw a mean fuck. I imagine he had a real meaty ass, too.

by Anonymousreply 55September 7, 2023 2:10 PM

R26 That was a great speech he gave.

by Anonymousreply 56September 7, 2023 2:20 PM

R55 they nicknamed him “Biscuit Pants” because of his meaty posterior.

by Anonymousreply 57October 20, 2023 1:53 AM

Poor guy.

Imagine being named after one of the worst diseases ever.

And then you get it yourself! What are the odds!?

Horrible.

by Anonymousreply 58October 20, 2023 1:59 AM

Bump.

Found this on Reddit…are many German men blessed with such tree trunks?

by Anonymousreply 59April 6, 2024 7:30 PM

What are the odds of dying of a disease with the same name as you? Twas kismet.

by Anonymousreply 60April 6, 2024 7:55 PM

I wonder how they ever got him to pose as a caveman.

by Anonymousreply 61April 6, 2024 9:01 PM

R61, he did a screen test to take over the role of Tarzan. They said his thighs were too big.

by Anonymousreply 62April 6, 2024 11:27 PM
They said his thighs were too big.

Which modern actors or players “suffer” from this characteristic?

by Anonymousreply 63April 6, 2024 11:31 PM

The list is small R63. DL fave Brenton Thwaites is a contender.

by Anonymousreply 64April 6, 2024 11:34 PM

Fit fat.

by Anonymousreply 65April 7, 2024 12:28 AM

Oh R61

by Anonymousreply 66April 7, 2024 3:42 AM

by Anonymousreply 67April 7, 2024 3:49 AM

by Anonymousreply 70April 19, 2024 3:33 PM

The average age of posters on this thread is deceased.

by Anonymousreply 71April 19, 2024 3:33 PM

His thighs are gross.

by Anonymousreply 72April 19, 2024 4:07 PM

R5 I'm not blaming him or anything but I feel like I would have seen that one coming.

by Anonymousreply 73April 19, 2024 5:07 PM

Another thread you took from me. Yet you attack me every chance you get. The irony.

by Anonymousreply 74April 19, 2024 5:09 PM

My history book in elementary school (mid-2000s) made Lou Gehrig seem like he was from a much older time and place than he was in. He was born in 1903 and died in 1941. They made it sound like this was before the Titanic old. He's at least a 20th-century legend, not like he's Abraham Lincoln.

But what a daddy he was...whew.
