As bad as SCOTUS is now, even though she's in the minority, the addition of this lovely, crazy smart, exceptionally qualified woman (or "original female plumbing" person) gives me hope

WEHT Kagan? You never hear a fucking word from her. With the exception of RBG, all the women named to the court - starting with Day O'Connor - appear to be shrinking violets.

A clearly angry Kagan pulling no punches: "The current Court is textualist only when being so suits it. When that method would frustrate broader goals, special canons like the 'major questions doctrine' magically appear as get out-of-text-free cards"
