How Yoko Ono relentlessly pursued John Lennon
by Anonymous | reply 64 | December 9, 2018 12:46 PM |
both Lennon and Yoko are gay
by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 6, 2018 2:10 PM |
Yes, yes, we all know that when she could not get Paul she went after John, took over his life...blah blah blah.
This dish is decades old.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 6, 2018 2:15 PM |
Sideways breezer.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 6, 2018 2:16 PM |
It's not just old, it's ridiculous. Like Lennon couldn't have just said no?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 6, 2018 2:16 PM |
beard/merkin contract
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 6, 2018 2:25 PM |
I never understood this. Wasn't Yoko from a rich family? Why didn't she go after a good looking man who didn't have a stank sleeve?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 6, 2018 2:31 PM |
I always get Yoko's voice confused with Connie Francis's.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 6, 2018 2:43 PM |
Paul looks hot in that pic.

by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 6, 2018 2:48 PM |
Hussy!
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 6, 2018 2:55 PM |
She gave him class, he gave her sex.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 6, 2018 2:58 PM |
Of course, most of the venom against Yoko was anti-Asian racism.
That said, she is a modestly talented, thoroughly annoying person who elbowed her way into history.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 6, 2018 2:58 PM |
[quote]She even showed up at a meeting that John, Paul and Jane Asher had with a yogi in the Indian Himalayas.
Jane Asher!!! She should be a DataLounge patron saint.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 6, 2018 2:59 PM |
[quote]She gave him class, he gave her sex.
She got the short end of the stick. And I do mean SHORT!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 6, 2018 3:00 PM |
Ugly woman.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 6, 2018 3:00 PM |
R15 Oh, who are you kidding?
To a woman used to Japanese men, every European is a Mandingo lover!
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 6, 2018 3:30 PM |
I read this in a book so long ago, can't recall who wrote it. She is awful . This new generation thinks she is so great. She is hot trash.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 6, 2018 3:53 PM |
She saw her main chance and went for it.
A certain kind of westernized Japanese women knows how to do this. Not uncommon.
And then she controlled Lennon all through the marriage, including playing victim, encouraging addiction, deploring addiction, crapping out fatso Sean, manipulating the finances, shivving Julian, etc.
She has no depth and her art has never developed. She produced two fair cuts - probably with someone else doing the work - and she has hundreds of millions to give her sonny when she eventually decays into venom dust and smugness grease.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 6, 2018 3:58 PM |
Ok, she’s a succubus. But what does this say about Lennon, though?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 6, 2018 4:18 PM |
R12, More like, he gave her fame, she gave him a mother figure to control his life.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 6, 2018 4:32 PM |
He was awful. She was worse.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 6, 2018 5:07 PM |
He was a rich white guy, one of the most famous men in the world. Don't tell me he couldn't have left.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 6, 2018 5:18 PM |
Her first word to him: "Me love you long time!"
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 6, 2018 5:24 PM |
Shocking to learn that neither McCartney nor Lennon could read or write music. How do you do that?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 6, 2018 6:10 PM |
STOP BEATLES!!!
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 6, 2018 6:13 PM |
[quote] I never understood this. Wasn't Yoko from a rich family? Why didn't she go after a good looking man who didn't have a stank sleeve?
Her family WAS rich--she went to school with the current emperor--but John was far, far richer.
Also, she wanted the power and popularity to which he gave her access. She was in her own way the Big Gay Al Reynolds of the 1960s.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 6, 2018 6:16 PM |
sounds like A creepy stalker and sleaze., oh wait that's only men who can be that.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 6, 2018 6:16 PM |
She gave him class. He gave her ass.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 6, 2018 6:43 PM |
Was he married at the time?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 6, 2018 9:41 PM |
She’s my favorite Beatle.
I love her poetry. GRAPEFRUIT was an astounding book.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 7, 2018 12:28 PM |
Dementia now
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 7, 2018 12:47 PM |
John's descent into hell seemed so sad to me, and I blame it all on her. I know that's not entirely true or even fair, but I can't help it. The pre-Yoko John was glorious. The post-Yoko John was a seventy pound, snarling heroin addict.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 7, 2018 12:55 PM |
R31 A major Fluxus artist.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 7, 2018 12:55 PM |
How do you know, R32?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | December 7, 2018 1:04 PM |
I can't stand her music or art, but I am glad she makes it. Her music is the best revenge when a neighbor won't turn down theirs.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 7, 2018 1:14 PM |
I figured out that there was something different about me when I was more interested in John than Yoko on the 'Two Virgins' album
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 7, 2018 1:21 PM |
Some of the nastiest tits I've ever seen in my life on that...um, uh. Her.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 7, 2018 1:28 PM |
Lennon may be the poster child for finding out too much about a celebrity that was revered and respected.
Yoko didn't create the dark side of Lennon. She gave him the impetus to bring it all out in the open.
I still appreciate some of the music he gave the world, particularly "Across The Universe," but it speaks volumes that he chose Yoko over his own son, Julian, and shut Julian out of his life per Yoko's demand. And to give an interview and call Julian the product of a bottle of whiskey for the whole world to read from now until the day Julian dies?
Sadly, John and Yoko fit together like a hand in a glove. There are no excuses to be made for him.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 7, 2018 1:48 PM |
"Like Lennon couldn't have just said no?"
I did. I said O-no.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 7, 2018 1:52 PM |
Do psychologists study the irrational hatred that people have for this person? The decades-old hatred? I'm sure that we'd learn a lot about the human psyche if doctors could get to the bottom of why people who have never met Yoko Ono are obsessed with her year after year after year.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | December 7, 2018 1:54 PM |
Yoko should have thrown herself in front of the gun. It's the least she could have done for the world.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | December 7, 2018 2:03 PM |
LMFAO r36.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | December 7, 2018 2:03 PM |
[quote]She gave him class. He gave her ass.
Where did this quote come from? I've used it for years but can't remember where I picked it up from.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | December 7, 2018 2:04 PM |
[R42]
There's nothing irrational about it at all.
People don't have to meet her to know her.
Yoko Ono attached herself to the public spotlight over 50 years ago like some kind of mutant leech that can't be pried off it. For over 50 years, she has made sure EVERYBODY knows who she is and everything she thinks and has done.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | December 7, 2018 2:11 PM |
One of the cruelest things John Lennon did is yelling at a young, giggling Julian, “I hate the way you f*cking laugh.”
by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 7, 2018 2:34 PM |
R7 You made me spew my coffee. Thaaaaanks!
by Anonymous | reply 48 | December 7, 2018 3:22 PM |
[quote]"People who don't know we say I hitched my wagon to a star," objected Miss Ono. "But that it the opposite. If I just wanted to be associated with a star, I could have very early. Rusty invited me to a my first recording session. It was Connie Francis. I had never met the lady -- she was really a girl then -- but she was a very big star. When I walked in, Rusty and I overhead her say to Tony, 'I'm gonna bang that Oriental like a gong!' Connie, I soon discovered, was a very aggressive bull dagger in private. Not at all like she was in public. If I had wanted to use a star, I could have. But I was a very modern woman for the time. I didn't like being pursued. I wanted to be the one pursuing. And Connie was very aggressive. Plus, I knew her career was going nowhere. She wasn't an artist. She was a singer who got lucky a few times. But not with me!, " Miss Ono adds with a laugh. "When I met John, it was different. He didn't go after me. But I knew what I wanted. Unlike Connie, he was an artist. He still had great things ahead but he need me to make them happen. Now, everyone knows I am as big a star as John, But not then. Maybe he hitched his wagon it me, right?"
by Anonymous | reply 49 | December 7, 2018 3:30 PM |
I saw her one Christmas season in Tiffany's, NYC. I hesitated, but then thought, "WTHey?!" So I went and greeted her, and she was very kind in reply, putting her hand over mine.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | December 7, 2018 4:29 PM |
What kind of pathetic loser relentlessly pursues a man
by Anonymous | reply 51 | December 7, 2018 4:37 PM |
[quote]He still had great things ahead but he need me to make them happen.
Like the song "Woman Is The N*gger Of The World"
by Anonymous | reply 52 | December 7, 2018 4:38 PM |
[R49] Is that a parody? If not, where did you pull that quote from?
Imagine Connie and Yoko on a duet -
Connie: I'm sor-ry...
Yoko: Ow wo ka wa ka akakakakakakakkaakaka
Connie: So sor-ry
Yoko: ooooo oooooo ooooo hakahakahala rouf rouf rouf gargggggg gaargggggg

Lennon pretended to be all about love and world peace but treated his son, Julian, with cruelty.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | December 7, 2018 7:37 PM |
[R52]
I have a feeling she had the classic "Oh Yoko" in mind.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | December 7, 2018 7:39 PM |
[quote]Lennon pretended to be all about love and world peace but treated his son, Julian, with cruelty.
And lived in luxury while others were homeless.
Even Shelley Winters talks in her book about living on Central Park West while right behind her the neighborhood was a mess. What hypocrites these people were.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | December 7, 2018 7:40 PM |
John was scum R54. I’m glad Ono played him and is still milking his press for cold harsh cash. He deserves nothing more.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | December 9, 2018 10:48 AM |
"She gave him sex, he gave her class." Was said about Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire,
OT Lennon beat his first wife and as emotionally abusive to Julian. As someone above said, john and yoko deserved each other.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | December 9, 2018 11:35 AM |
Even Howard Stern used to chew out John for how he treated Julian. Sick
by Anonymous | reply 59 | December 9, 2018 11:43 AM |
Sorry, but for someone who grew up listening to the Beatles, when I think of John I think of this:
by Anonymous | reply 60 | December 9, 2018 11:44 AM |
and wound up with his huge fortune, her and that fug son. sad
by Anonymous | reply 61 | December 9, 2018 12:08 PM |
I know, R61. That part sucks. And I believe she was glad when he died. Sometimes I used to think she had a hand in it.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | December 9, 2018 12:40 PM |
John's first wife Cynthia was a beautiful woman. His mistress May Pang said Yoko had a spell over John.
