R26, who did your calibrations? Is there something like that clock in Boulder that broadcasts a precise temperature signal? Have you tried a compromise of 68.5?

Cologne should only be detectable when one is in intimate proximity to the person wearing it. Think of it like a secret that will only be shared with a select few.

RE: I love James Franco but what did he do in "Milk" that makes him so deserving of an Oscar nomination?

It's all politics. Franco won't get a nomination but Brolin will. Brolin didn't get a nomination last year for NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN and has had a year of strong performances (W, AMERICAN GANGSTER [technically last year]) so he'll get the supporting slot. Franco's role was slimmer and PINEAPPLE EXPRESS lacks the gravitas that Brolin's other films have and Oscar voters love that crap.

"Emille Hirsch was TERRIFIC, however." Agreed. That said, I would gladly have sexual relations with Penn, Franco, Brolin and/or Hirsch.

This isn't about open or closed relationships. This is about power. The boyfriend doesn't share it so is incapable of being in a functioning relationship at this point. In his own way he is as controlling as an abuser.

A woman I know was diagnosed with lung cancer in the last stages. She didn't quit. Why should she? She's going to die anyway. Why compound the suffering with trying to quit suffering. If she had a chance...maybe. But, it sounds like Patrick is in the same boat.

I was disappointed by Brolin's performance. He could get a surprise nom as actor for W, but his performance in MILK was nothing.

RE: Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki
There is something so "fishy" about this whole think it stinks. It's so contrived, the things they say to each other, the things others, including the creator say about them, some of the lines in the show, etc... Believe me when I tell you there is no chance these two are fucking each other...if they were, they would be doing everything they could to hide the fact...certainly not announcing it to the public in every single way possible without coming right out with it. In other words, NFW, would Jared always be saying such blatant...'we're fucking each other's brains out', stuff, if they really were. In this extraordinarily competitive market, it's contrived to attract a certain percentage of the population who has a tendency to go batshit crazy and psycho for this shit in order to get the word about the show out. And, it worked. Speaking of evil spirits, it's actually a stroke of evil genius and who else better to deliver than the creator of show about the inner workings of evil spirits, however, (More Inside)

Straight men look! That was one way soldiers or sports players could tell if someone was queer. If a guy came into the showers and his eyes were all up and he didn't check out the rest of the guys, they knew he was deliberately trying to hide something. It's unnatural to not at least glimpse, to see what someone else looks like.

Are we sure that's hime, R1? He was fine, nothing more. Adorable, handsome, sweet, sexy and fine. But an Oscar nom? He may get one on the strength of the film as a whole, but for his performance? Doubtful. Emille Hirsch was TERRIFIC, however.

Barrowman and Gill are the gay world's Joan Collins and Percy Gibson. Like Scott, Percy has 'big cock' written all over his face, not to mention a happy compliant personality. La Collins and Le Barrowman are luvvies with bells on, but they know a good thing when they see it.

RE: Does anyone else get the nervous feeling...
I dunno - it seems to me that Obama needs people with cabinet-level experience, at least in his first term. It's not like we've had several Democratic administrations from which he can cherry-pick talent. W. was able to call on figures from the Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Bush administrations plus whatever holdovers he wanted from Clinton's folks. Obama can only realistically cull talent from one administration. The Carter folks are getting older. To put it in perspective, from the end of the Nixon administration to W. was 24 years while it's been 28 years between Carter and Obama. So I am only slightly troubled by Obama's choices from the Clinton years if only because those people are the ones who have been in similar roles before. We're living in shitty times, no matter now we got here. I want experienced folks at the helm, even more than I want change. So sue me.

I love James Franco but what did he do in "Milk" that makes him so deserving of an Oscar nomination?
Don't get me wrong -- I thought he was good in the film, but when you really think about it he did not do anything that spectacular to warrant all of this "he should be nominated" talk. It's mostly happening as a result of the fact that (a) he's hot and (b) his is one of the only three recognizable names in the cast (Sean Penn and Josh Brolin being the other two). In my opinion, other than Brolin, if anybody else was to come out of the film with a much-deserved BSA nom it should be Emile Hirsch, who did a fantastic job as Milk's friend Cleve Jones but who, despite glowing reviews, has received ZERO award recognition for his performance.
