I liked it, and the rest of the show, too, although I'm a little worried about Jill Clayburgh' face during the crying scenes.

Um, no, r3. Candice Cayne had gender reassignment surgery. I would assume she doesn't see herself as a man, so why would you?

Op, R3, grow up. CC is not "male". Just because her's not your experience doesn't mean you can't respect her.

If 'Candice Cayne' is trying SO hard to be accepted as an actual woman AND an actress, why does she use such a ridiculous drag name? To each his/her own in choosing their own names but doesn't the name "Candice Cayne" simply create one more challenge for her to overcome? She wouldn't have picked something more elegant or appropriate to reflecting whatever it is she wants to project in a name?

Billy Baldwin was at Eleven in West Hollywood with Candis a couple of weeks ago, watching her performance. He looked very fat and very drunk.

Wait, so has she had the chop or not? I'm getting conflicting stories. If she has NOT had the surgery, then she is a transvestite by definition, NOT a transsexual. Please get your stories straight. From what I've read, she has NOT had the surgery. You may correct me if I'm wrong, but if she hasn't had the surgery, then she is technically still a man.

No R12, she would be classified as transgender, or a pre-op transsexual. Please get your facts straight.

Candis is so amateurish compared to even the worst actor on that show. It is painful to watch him "act."

So is Billy Baldwin making out with a boy with boobs or with a (now) real girl? Is the character supposed to be a post-op? How many cocks are in that bed, anyway?

R16, I'm living in the real world. Which, sadly, contains lots of anti-transgender bigotry, even in places you'd hope not to find it. Like Datalounge. It's not "ridiculous semantics." It's basic respect for others. Even if you don't understand their life choices.

She was on The View and she did say, she had the surgery. Did she specifically say she'd had SRS? She did a NYT interview a while back in which she was deliberately evasive—"I am complete. Make of that what you will"—and the gossip on the drag scene is that she's non-op.

I've heard there are straight guys who will date beautiful trannies who haven't had the surgery yet, or may never have it. You could argue if they're not really straight then, but these are men who have only dated women, and the trannies in question are always in complete drag. There are straight men who are pragmatic and aren't going to pass up the opportunity to bed a beautiful woman just because of the technicality between her/his legs.
