But, if you don't know it by now, the Jennifer Beals fangurl's have nothing on their minds but her. She can do no wrong, is the hottest, most perfect woman on earth and beyond. I just ran into Heather Matarrazzo (Stacey Merkin) walking her dog and her girlfriend on Lexington Avenue @ 54th Street in Manhattan not 30 minutes ago. She looked fairly intense in conversation, and the other girl had long dark hair, pleasant looking; don't know if it's really her girlfriend or not, but they seemed homey.

Is there not a decent board where one can go to discuss this show? r16 is right, twop was ruined by the jennifer fangurls the and straight fraus who just like to say they'd "go gay" for one of the L ladies. Media Blvd is just scary and infested with the Shane fangurls. Datalounge is ruined by the fake gossip and anti-Tibette ranters (but at least there's no actress worship here). The fanfic site is another scary one. I just want one site that is non-creepy and non-obsessive.

As someone who used to go to TWoP until last year, I agree with r21s assessment. The JBeals psychos are off the hook. Really, any of our gay male brethren that have shaken their heads at any of the Toothy Tile or AC nonsense should take a look at at the rabid idiocy that surrounds JBeals, and to a lesser extent TiBette. You will come out of there heaving a great sigh of relief and thankful that you are not as pitifully insane as any of them.

Well, this is not gossip, but as you know, Shane is supposedly modeled after hairstylist Sally Hershberger. And then I realized that the first two letters of Shane's name...well, there it is. Sally was a judge on Bravo's Shear Genius, and it is amazing that the L Word got an actress to look almost exactly like her. But although her studio is in the meatpacking district of NYC, she has a bit of an uptown tone about her. More neatly put together than Shane. Sally wears Converse sneakers as well, but they look a bit weird on her. I'll never understand why more people don't like Kate. A lot of people do, but many more are obsessed with JB. Kate is very hot in a young, edgy way. I prefer that to the all-American looks of Dana and Laurel. Just my two cents.

There are at the most five people who post there with one of them using a dozen id's to post to make it look as if there is more than five - and I am being generous - actually posting. This one person who posts under a dozen or so niks and who is obsessed with Beals, reports to the mod in the traffic court when someone doesn't tow the line in worshipping Beals but says anything nice about Tina or Laurel. We all know it's one person. She reported at least one person more than a month ago who was an old timer who just so happened to post using her old name. The cunt is out for blood making it seem like there are so many people posting on that board when she is using tons of niks to post to herself. It certainly is pathetic R31. I want to know who the one person who posts at TWOP as alleged by R33. I have visited that site on occasion to see the spoilers, and therefore understand the point that many there have gone over the "fan" line. While it is too obsessive for my tastes, from what I have seen I don't think as a group they are quite the bullies that are implied here. Unfortunately, there are always fangurls no matter who the actor is, and fans of Ms. Beals and Ms. Holloman et al are no different.

So why should she care so much unless she was posting under a different name? TWoP isn't full of bullies, just full of morons. The days of intelligent and insightful discussion are long gone. And it's a shame since that board was great at one time. The group of current posters are just horrible. Oh please r49, I actually read the TWOP forum from before the show even started and there was never intelligent or insightful discussion going on. It's always been fangirlish, but at least it used to be spread out evenly. But I agree with r46, it was fun until the anti-Tibette bullies began the backlash and decided to turn it into the junior debate club, instead of a fun site to talk about a soap. But at least they ran off all the Shane fans.
