• He's in the news again. Former Eagle Scout James Dale is (kind of) in the news again as the Boy Scouts of America are 'revisiting' their policy of not allowing out gays to be members. I remember being so proud of him for taking on the public battle back in the 90s. His case opened a new front on battle for the equality. And because of that he became sort of a hero to me back then for being one of only a handful of pioneering gays getting regular press.
