Wow! \
\
I didn''t realize the woman lead on the TV \
\
show "Sanctuary", is the same as the blond lady \
\
that was \
\
on "Stargate".
I actually kind of like Amanda tapping.\
\
She was great on Stargate if only because she was a female scientist who actually got to save people often.\
\
Very rare they have a female character that competent on a sci fi show.
She is definitely the lead on Sanctuary.
I''ve just finished the entire series of Stargate: SG-1. I actually think that she was the best actor (less Michael Shanks, but I like him for reasons other than his acting, although he was great in the role). She did provide a depth of character that Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Judge and others didn''t provide viewers.\
\
So, is Sanctuary a "must see" for a sci-fi geek as myself?
I just gotta know...

God, no!
God yes! Very light weight but enjoyable.
I liked the concept of a haven created for non-humans and the intriguing back history of the protagonist developed during the first season, but the series lost me at the beginning of the second season. It looks really cheaply made, too.
Worst haiku ever!
Comic Book Guy
Never saw that depth of She always reminded me of a fifth wheel.
When is it coming back?
I started out liking the Sam Carter character on Stargate but then she was turned into such a know-it-all I began to find her really obnoxious. It was obvious the writers had a real hard on for her.
I loved Amanda on the Stargate series, but couldn't warm up to Sanctuary.
Don Davis, who was the Major in Twin Peaks, played a general in SG-1.
Couldn't stand Amanda Tapping in Stargate. Absolutely zero chemistry with the other characters. Obviously she was making somebody happy to be pushed to the forefront. Ruined the show after season 3.
