- I was a contract database manager on. a project with Viggo's brother. I don't have much but apparently, it was Viggo's son who persuaded him to audition for LOTR, and I gathered he (Viggo) would have let the chance to audition go if not for his son's fascination with the trilogy. And so far, Viggo's favorite of his films is Hidalgo.

The Reflecting Skin is one of my all time favourite movies. I'm surprised anyone even remembers it, it was so weird (in a good way).
The rumour in one of the great, nuked gossip threads was that he was the sub in an BDSM relationship with David Cronenberg.
I thought it was odd, but who knows.
I'd love to see him work more with Cronenberg; he's hit and miss, but when his films hit, they are great.
