r11, NYC is certainly not integrated socially in the gay scene. However there is a very active black gay community here in NYC. I would say it's a good place for black gays. We have our own parties, our own media, our own "celebrities." Its kind of underground which shocks me a bit because it's so obvious if you know the right people and where to look, but the black gay scene is definitely healthy here.
