The Oscars backfired on him, IMO, and he seems to be retreating a bit. He was the only one not to show for the F&G reunion at the Paley Center, although he sent a video comment slamming Hathaway. I thought the absence was odd as he consistently works with Apatow and Rogen. Only Segel seems to make snide cracks about him at times. At the reunion, there was a comment about how Franco was "method" in a scene with Busy Phillips, Apatow commented on he was the only one to get an Oscar nom, and Segel made a crack that Franco was just better looking than them. Love Segel but sense a bit of jealousy there.
