I've never heard about Henry Rollins being raped, my info is that he did witness the killing of his roommate, who IIRC was the son of actor Dennis Cole.

Cole was once married to Jaclyn Smith, though I don't think Henry's roommate was her son.

My cousin did time in prison and he said it is just the way things go. If a man isn't able to protect himself, he has to find someone to protect him. Luckily, my cousin is a tall, very muscular and intimidating man so he was able to protect himself. He also said if word got out that you might be, MIGHT be gay, you were toast. That meant if another prisoner winked at you and you didn't do anything (ie. rape him or beat the shit out of him) you would be targeted. And there was nothing consensual about the sex.

Rollins seems as if he's in this bizarre perpetual state of over-the-top intensity. I find him extremely off putting. Even on his interview show, where he'd kissed all of his guests asses, he still seemed overly intense.

Years ago I was involved with some seedy insider types in Hollywood. On more then one occasion I was witness to Danny Bonaduce, out cold on drugs, being gang raped. He would hang around anyone with drugs and would do so much he would pass out cold. Another was Robert Downey Jr . Total drug whore who enjoyed being passed around at hard core sex and drug gatherings. Both The Corys, Haim and to a lesser extent the other one, were frequently the "entertainment" at drug gathering/parties. R82 here. Roth has explicitly said he was raped, not just a "grabbed boob" (or whatever). It was an uncle or cousin -- he's never said which, but he's said it was incest, the perp was male, and it wasn't his father (pretty certain he doesn't have brothers). No-one knows the truth except Henry and their assailants. Personally, I have no idea how I would act in the same situation. I hope I never have to find out.

However, I always found it distasteful how Henry seemingly exploited the story to titillate audiences and to add to his "hardcore" myth.

I'm really surprized that there are people questioning how commonplace sexual abuse of children is. Do you have any female friends, workmates, relatives?? 1 in 5 women experience sexual abuse of some kind. It's not quite as common for boys but that's because it's underreported and there is a higher shame factor.

I really can't believe that there are people out there who think that anyone, let alone a celebrity, would make this kind of thing up. If you actually read what people like Billy Connolly and Tim Roth have disclosed about their abuse, it should make you stop and think about how it can and does happen to anyone, and it's a lot more common than you realise.
