by Anonymousreply 14August 5, 2010 6:35 PM

by Anonymousreply 15August 5, 2010 6:41 PM

Also, Sam from "iCarly"

by Anonymousreply 16August 5, 2010 6:47 PM

Mike (the plumber) on "Desperate Housewives."%0D %0D What a total waste of space.

by Anonymousreply 17August 5, 2010 6:49 PM

Ooh, and Susan from "Desperate Housewives." I wish they'd been killed in that car accident with Mike's crazy albino stalker.

by Anonymousreply 18August 5, 2010 6:54 PM

Olivia Benson and Raymond.

by Anonymousreply 19August 5, 2010 6:57 PM

the Nanny%0D %0D the character that Julia Duffy portrayed on "Designing Women".%0D %0D the gay guy from Glee%0D %0D Susan on "Desperate Housewives"%0D %0D most of the teenagers on sitcoms who are "adorable smartasses"-I didn't much care for Everybody Loves Raymond but at least they never resorted to that scheme.

by Anonymousreply 20August 5, 2010 7:02 PM

Michael Scott "The Office". I know you're supposed to love/hate him but I just hate him. I also agree with R15. Matt did not have one single redeeming feature.

by Anonymousreply 21August 5, 2010 7:11 PM

Not everybody loves Raymond. Never cared for him, his parents or his wife any time I happened to catch a few seconds of the show.

by Anonymousreply 22August 5, 2010 7:11 PM

Urkel--Family Matters

Matt--Nip/Tuck

Rachel--Friends

Oliver--The Brady Bunch

Mork

Etta Plum (because she was Michael Landons's daughter, and a horrible actress)--Little House

Every character on the execrable "Scrubs".

Charlie's brother on Two and a Half Men

by Anonymousreply 25August 5, 2010 10:04 PM

I can't remember her name, but she was a costar on the Will and Grace show; she has the high pitched voice....annoying as hell.

by Anonymousreply 26August 5, 2010 10:25 PM

R24 Me too! I call that show "Stabler: The Forehead."

by Anonymousreply 27August 5, 2010 10:35 PM

The entire case of "Friends" except the bald gay guy who worked in the coffee shop. If he wasn't gay I hate him, too.

Goober on "Andy Griffith" until this year. Now I like him.

Anyone named Darren on "Bewitched."

Anyone named Lucy on a Lucille Ball show after "I Love Lucy."

Gary Crosby's character on "Adam 12." You can smell the booze on his breath as his ears slide off his head.

by Anonymousreply 30August 5, 2010 10:58 PM

Marie Barone and Debra Barone

by Anonymousreply 31August 5, 2010 11:04 PM

Some soap characters I despise:

Nicole on "Days of Our Lives", she's annoying, boring, predictable and ruthless to the extent that she'd probably kill anyone to get what she wants. I also can't get past her bugged out eyes and her samey smirk. Oh yes, she should already be in jail for her many past indiscretions, yet she's still around.

Ford, Eli, Mitch, and Allison on "One Life to Live", all badly written one dimensional cartoon-ish characters.

by Anonymousreply 32August 5, 2010 11:09 PM

New Fallon from Dynasty

by Anonymousreply 33August 5, 2010 11:19 PM

"Mr. Big" on "Sex and the City." Bleeeccch.

Det. Goren, Law & Order: CI

Becky Connor (Lecy Gorensen), Roseanne

Vicki Stubing, The Love Boat

Blossom, Blossom

The entire cast of Full House, except John Stamos, who gets a pass for being gorgeous

by Anonymousreply 35August 5, 2010 11:22 PM

Debra Morgan, when she's mistaked for the British psycho and almost needled, and she still doesn't get it!

by Anonymousreply 36August 5, 2010 11:25 PM

Every single character on "Brothers And Sisters" since they kicked creator Jon Robin Baitz out.

The entire show stinks to high heaven and I can't wait for its demise.

by Anonymousreply 37August 5, 2010 11:34 PM

Angelo on Top Chef

by Anonymousreply 38August 5, 2010 11:55 PM

Susan Dey's character on "L.A. Law" or pretty much Susan Dey or really, Susan Dey because every character she plays is Susan Dey, tortured and verging on giving up but yet naively hopeful despite it, and it shows.

Paul Kinsey (hopefully staying formerly of Mad Men). Pretentious wannabe that I just can't find even a little humorous.

April Ludgate (Parks and Rec). Please stop pushing her on us. I'm just not interested in the sullen little bitch.

Eric Murphy (Entourage). I have an urge to punch that dwarf right in his smirking face.

by Anonymousreply 50August 6, 2010 12:30 PM

Sonny and Carly Corinthos, someone needs to bust a cap in both of their skank asses.

The entire cast of the US version of "The Office", they are all insufferable, unlikable and extremely annoying, especially the Indian woman with the ultra annoying twee voice. I want to smack every one of them.

In real life, the Indian actress seems just as annoying as her character, she actually goes on talk shows telling the hosts how "sexy" she is!

Ann Romano from One Day ay a Time. Egads, I just remembered how annoying she was.

She was always screeching about something, hysterically waving her arms about, pacing back and forth across the floor trying to get her point across, 'annoying' is putting it mildly.

by Anonymousreply 67August 7, 2010 9:15 PM

Another vote for Matt from Nip Tuck. Hated him so damned much! Yes r-64 I agree Reva from Guiding Light ruined that soap completely. Ted from Queer as Folk annoyed the shit outta me.

by Anonymousreply 70August 8, 2010 11:54 PM

Wesley and Cordelia on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" but I learned to love both characters once they started changing on "Angel"

by Anonymousreply 71August 31, 2010 4:03 PM

E(ric) and Vince's brother on Entourage. E is like 5 feet tall and it's funny how they try to shoot him so you can't tell. Sorry, but it's not working. Vince's brother thinks he's hot and a great actor and is constantly telling anyone who will listen.

That foul cunt on Everyone Loves Raymond. His mother is also annoying.

Anyone in 2 and a Half Men.

Fez in That 70's Show. We get it. You're foreign and horny but can't get girls.

Malcolm and the black kid in the wheelchair on Malcolm in the middle. Malcolm just isn't cute and the wheezing is very annoying. The rest of the cast is great.

Cindy on the Brady Bunch. That lisp!

George, Jerry, Kramer on Seinfeld.

That weird-eyebrow girl on The Cosby Show that they brought in when Rudy got too old.

The black lady on Community. She's always shoving Jesus and religion down everyone's throats.

Kenneth on 30 Rock. His country bumpkin schtick is old and tired.

DiNozzo - NCIS

by Anonymousreply 88November 29, 2010 11:43 PM

I second Ann Romano. And, she was always incorporating some hamfisted 'Broadway' or vaudevillian cliches into every show. Nobody dared to stop her, apparently.%0D %0D LOL at Krystle from Dynasty. I thought I was the only one. When she left mid-season nine, the show markedly improved. She was always so good, virtuous, boring, and had stupid Lhasa Apso hair.

by Anonymousreply 89November 29, 2010 11:55 PM

Jenny Humphrey - "Gossip Girl"

by Anonymousreply 90November 30, 2010 3:32 AM

That annoying techno goth chick (Abbie?) on NCIS. Come to think about it, the entire cast consists of stupid, annoying characters.

The entire aet of characters of Bones.

Kyra Sedgwick's character on The Closer.

B.D. Wong's character on SVU.

by Anonymousreply 91November 30, 2010 3:44 AM

Blair Waldorf%0D %0D Joe Mcintyre (Coronation Street) what a waste of man flesh!

by Anonymousreply 92November 30, 2010 3:48 AM

Orson Hodge, Desperate Housewives George Costanza, Seinfeld

by Anonymousreply 93November 30, 2010 4:04 AM

Marie Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond.%0D %0D Self-centered bitch who raised two sons with no balls and no backbones, yet proclaimed what a wonderful mother she was.%0D %0D In real life, Debra would have divorced Ray, moved across the country with the kids to get away from that horrible family, headed by tyrannical Marie.%0D %0D

by Anonymousreply 103December 1, 2010 8:00 PM

Dharma fucking Finkelstein. Funny I like the show. I'm catching it for the first time in repeats. That Kitty is fucking hysterical. But I fucking hate Dharma. For the so called free thinker she is one of the most closed minded, judgmental characters ever put on TV. I fucking hate her.

by Anonymousreply 104December 1, 2010 8:09 PM

That incredibly annoying character on "Family Guy" whose hateful catchphrase is "Giggity giggity giggity goo!" I turn the TV off if it's an episode where he's featured prominently--I can't stand him, and am astonished Seth MacF. doesn't realize how unappealing and unfunny that character is.

Wesley Crusher. WTF did Gene Roddenberry think young people would want to see a prissy 15 year-old helming the Enterprise? Why would you entrust driving an entire spaceship filled with thousands of people to a child?

Commander Sisko and his endless boring disquisitions on baseball, and his hammy overintensity.

by Anonymousreply 105December 1, 2010 8:12 PM

Kitty Montgomery is one of the funniest supporting characters in sitcom history, IMO. Susan Sullivan deserved an Emmy, and I don't think she was ever even nominated. She had such a great reaction to Dharma all the time--it was like she was cursed with her so she knew she had to make the best of her, no matter how appalling she found her. She was funny in almost everything she did, and had the best line ever written for the show: "Take my dress, it has magical powers!"

by Anonymousreply 106December 1, 2010 8:14 PM

Lorelai Gilmore. Meredith Gray. Roseanne.

by Anonymousreply 107December 1, 2010 8:16 PM

I just saw the Dharma and Greg when the guy from Kid's in the Hall did a one man show parodying Kitty. It was fucking hysterical. But yes I like the show for both sets of parents. Dharma and Greg are disposable and I agree that Kitty is one of the funniest characters ever written. Too bad no one though of her for the American version of Absolutely Fabulous.

by Anonymousreply 108December 1, 2010 8:27 PM

r105, the "giggity" guy is Quagmire.%0D %0D I hate House. I'd love to see an episode where he gets his medical license revoked, put in prison for his Vicodin habit, and gets the shit beaten out of him by a guard he snarks off to. And then it turns out that the entire series that's gone before was just a hallucination he had while recovering from his closed head injury in the prison infirmary just before they amputate his leg.

by Anonymousreply 109December 1, 2010 8:49 PM

[quote]DiNozzo - NCIS%0D %0D Oh me too. It's like the whole show revolves around his in-your-face heterosexuality. The whole show is a joke. He's a character I really want to slap as well and I'm female.

by Anonymousreply 110May 23, 2011 8:04 PM

^ I should mention I like Pauley Perrette a lot. She's a real sweetheart.

by Anonymousreply 111May 23, 2011 8:13 PM

Buffy's Xander - what a loser, he should have been killed off back in the 4th season

Angel's Fred - loathed the bitch & applauded when she died

Charmed's Piper and Phoebe - post-Shannen Doherty years when Piper became a stubborn cunt and Phoebe a retarded slut (those characters had never acted that way before!)

SVU's Stabler - self-righteous asshole

Dynasty's Sammy Jo - guess you had to be straight to appreciate her

Designing Women's Anthony - he always detracted from the female stars

by Anonymousreply 112May 23, 2011 8:16 PM

Forgot to add the most heinous of all:

TNG's Data - I fucking hated that robot and actually clapped in the theater when he was killed off in that nemesis movie.

by Anonymousreply 113May 23, 2011 8:19 PM

Carrie in Sex and the City. Self-absorbed, narcissistic, pea-brained cunt supreme.

Dharma in Dharma & Greg

All four characters in Will & Grace

The entire family in Everybody Loves Raymond, especially the juveline prick Ray and the bitch Debra

Sophia in Golden Girls. What a mean old hag!

Julia Sugarbaker in Designing Women. Overbearing, patronizing, racist Southern bitch.

Pretty much any of the loser, fat ass, straight guy characters who are always given hot, young wives in lame sitcoms like According to Jim

by Anonymousreply 114May 23, 2011 8:23 PM

All the chareters in taxi except latka, Louis and rev jim

Racheal and Ross in friends

Fraiser

The female in king of queens

by Anonymousreply 115May 23, 2011 8:25 PM

Me, too, r113. Absolutely hated him, the "Bargain-basement Spock"..

by Anonymousreply 116May 23, 2011 8:27 PM

Every character on the execrable "Scrubs".%0D %0D I'm with R25 on this one! Please add Elizabeth Banks as Avery on 30 Rock. She's fucking annoying as shit and wish she would die.

by Anonymousreply 117May 23, 2011 11:34 PM

Marie Barone from Everybody Loves Raymond: I just hate how she treats everyone on the show. Also, she can insult people but they can't insult her because she gets mad when they insult her.

by Anonymousreply 118March 3, 2012 7:58 AM

Amy from The Big Bang Theory. She's so annoying. The writers should just kill her off already. She ruined my favorite show.

by Anonymousreply 122April 12, 2013 12:21 AM

Schmidt (Max Greenfield) on "New Girl". He almost ruins the show for me. Jake M. Johnson's character, on the other hand, is the main draw...

by Anonymousreply 123April 12, 2013 12:34 AM

Patti Stanger, The Millionaire Matchmaker. Bleh.

by Anonymousreply 124June 13, 2013 1:52 AM

If we're supposed to be talking about tv villains, then Nellie Olson owns this thread.

But if it's just tv characters that made me want to put my fist through the tv then I third Ann Romano after R89.

That fugly bowl haircut, her refusal to wear makeup and her sanctimonious nouveaux braless feminism liberalism was so fucking annoying. And that David! What a Doughboy Pussy. In fact that whole show was sanctimonious nouveaux feminism.

by Anonymousreply 125June 13, 2013 2:01 AM

There isn't a single likeable or believable character on "House." The hospital itself is a torture porn nightmare with the see-through patient rooms and all the screaming and spurting blood. I got fed up after watching the fortieth unanesthetized spinal tap.

Pete Campbell and Betty Francis on Mad Men

by Anonymousreply 149January 30, 2014 12:45 AM

Lucy Ricardo and that awful whining. Cosmo Kramer and those stupid, idiotic pratfalls of his. The entire crew of overrated "Friends." The pompous asses Bill Maher and Jon Stewart. I can think of a few more.

by Anonymousreply 150January 30, 2014 12:49 AM

Elena Ramos (and the entire Ramos family) on Dallas 2.0.

by Anonymousreply 151September 1, 2014 4:21 PM

Reading this I realise there are lots of characters I don't like. I had no idea!

But here are two special hates:

The fat kid from two and a half men The fat kid from modern family

by Anonymousreply 152September 1, 2014 4:52 PM

Betty on [italic]Mad Men[/italic]: Unpleasant character written around the limited skills of a truly terrible actress. The kids will be spending spending most of the 1970s and 1980s in therapy because of her.

Jonathan on [italic]Who's the Boss[/italic]: I'm glad he was one of the first child stars to come out. Pity he can't act and the show sucked, and his whining in [italic]Cujo[/italic] was just insufferable. Didn't like anyone else on that show either other than Katherine Helmond.

Carol on [italic]Soap[/italic]: God, how I hated that breeder bitch who manipulated Jodie into sleeping with her and getting her pregnant to force him into a shotgun wedding.

Everyone on [italic]Friends[/italic]: Where to begin? That snotty bitch Rachel, that wimpy loser Ross, that no-talent moronic Tony Danza wannabe Joey, that even less talented, even more moronic screech owl Phoebe, that fat joke magnet Monica, and that metrosexual narcissist Chandler. This show is why people hate Americans.

Everyone on [italic]Full House[/italic]: Almost anything by Miller-Boyett is pure evil, but I can't put my finger on the exact reasons why. That would require me to actually sit through this show again.

Cliff Barnes on [italic]Dallas[/italic]: As soon as he put his own daughter and granddaughter in mortal peril just to get the Ewings, that proved without a shadow of a doubt he was the most evil TV character who ever lived, even making J.R. look like a saint in comparison. He spent his whole life doing the same things J.R. did but taking the moral high horse because he pretended his drunk-ass loser daddy was a victim of Jock Ewing's schemes, which a lawsuit and a search through Pam's apartment after her gas truck accident proved he was not.

Maggie O'Brien on [italic]Gimme A Break![/italic]: She was not a character, but a desperate attempt to save a show that pretty much died with Dolph Sweet; she was Rosie playing herself, which is the only way she knows how to play a character. Even her Betty Rubble was just a prototype of Rosie's fake-ass "Queen of Nice" act on her talk show.

Aunt Esther on [italic]Sanford and Son[/italic]: When she adopted a teenage boy who declared he was an atheist, she and her churchgoing friends were really nasty to him, calling him a sinner, etc.

I lost a lot of respect for [italic]All in the Family[/italic]'s Mike Stivic after he abandoned Gloria and Joey; all of it was done so Rob Reiner could make [italic]This is Spinal Tap[/italic].

I fucking stand up and cheer every time George Jefferson calls Archie Bunker a honky.

Tracy's wife on [italic]30 Rock[/italic]: Homophobic breeder cunt in real life. She's actually worse than Tracy Morgan in that respect.

Oliver on [italic]Golden Palace[/italic]: Not a character, just a symptom of Michael Eisner's Oliver Twist obsession. I was glad when they got rid of him, even though they did so in such a clumsy way.

Kurt on [italic]Glee[/italic]: I hate everyone on that poorly-written autotune fest, but I especially hate that this narcissistic douchewad is considered a role model for gay teens. He isn't. He arranges a marriage between his dad and his straight crush's mother (creepy), then after they give up their honeymoon so he can go to private school, he goes back to that high school (selfish)! And that pig nose of his is quite unsexy.

Tara on [italic]United States of Tara[/italic] after she slapped Marshall: I honestly rooted for Marshall to beat the ever-loving shit out of her breeder ass for that. I watched that scene over and over and yelled at the screen, and boy was that cathartic. Gay bashing is terrorism.

by Anonymousreply 153September 1, 2014 5:10 PM

Mike Seaver on [italic]Growing Pains[/italic]: I disliked Kirk Cameron long before I knew about all his fundie crap, and that's no excuse for getting a cast member fired. Lisa Whelchel and Kristin Chenoweth are also devout Christians and they didn't act like prima donnas on their TV series. Cameron is just a douche. I'd show you that smile again if you were actually funny or not a liar who's holding back social and technological progress with your religious brainwashing, you fucking breeder goy piece of shit!

by Anonymousreply 154September 1, 2014 5:15 PM

The enitre cast of Big Bang Theory

by Anonymousreply 155September 1, 2014 5:16 PM

Everyone on [italic]How I Met Your Mother[/italic] who isn't NPH is a nonentity. No one watched that 2011 Muppet movie for Jason Segel. No one.

Jack on [italic]Will & Grace[/italic]: I don't like shows or movies that conflate homosexuality and promiscuity. Slut-shaming gays is not funny because of HIV, discrimination, stereotyping, everything gays face. Slut-shaming heterosexuals is funny because they're an oppressor class, and it is ALWAYS funny to mock an oppressor class. Always.

by Anonymousreply 156September 1, 2014 5:20 PM

George Costanza-The Jewish boy with the Italian name.

Latka Gravas-Just horrible! I never could stand Andy Kaufman, even back in his SNL days.

Darren #2. The series completely went to shit after Marion Lorne died and Dick York left due to health problems. Endora- Nasty old transvestite.

Michael from Good Times. Why was he even a character on that show? He added nothing to it.

Scot Biao-on Happy Days. Terrible actor.

The two girls they stuck Archie Bunker with after Edith died.

by Anonymousreply 157September 1, 2014 5:29 PM

Sherlock Holmes. His incisive ability for minutiae problem-solving (to the detriment of more compassionate contextual-based investigation) is one of those skills that is considered worshipful and rare, which is understandable. However, as Holmes is revered for his insight, his intimidating, cruel and dismissive behaviour toward others is often hand-waved. This has always bothered me. He also 'wins' too much to be interesting--kind of like Bugs Bunny or Roadrunner. It makes for Agatha Christie-levels of predictability. For disclosure, I did not like him as a book character either.

I'm not saying all television characters must be Brady or have to start or end in the gutter to be acceptable, though--just that they occasionally get a huge comeuppance. I liked Justin of Desperate Housewives (Shawn Pyfrom's character) for that reason. He is borderline sociopathic, smug and would often win the day through some completely improbable gambit, but at the final hour he lost his family, his secure home, his future and his hot boyfriend in one fell swoop. It was sad, but it felt real.

by Anonymousreply 158September 1, 2014 5:31 PM

Any character played by Scott Baio could instantly be improved by a recast. And his wife hates lesbians.

by Anonymousreply 159September 1, 2014 5:33 PM

I don't know about that, R159. You may loathe the man, but who else could have brought such true-to-life deadpanning to Charles in Charge? That character had to babysit as a fulltime job, as well as take care of his mother's café, study for some kind of vague degree, juggle around ten different chicks AND continually chase after his moronic best friend to make sure he didn't set himself on fire. Scott, even in his early 20's, seemed completely world-weary and nonplussed. That works perfectly for Charles.

by Anonymousreply 160September 1, 2014 5:38 PM

I don't know anyone who liked Pippa on [italic]The Facts of Life[/italic] or Sam on [italic]Diff'rent Strokes[/italic].

by Anonymousreply 161September 1, 2014 5:39 PM

Carrie Bradshaw.

by Anonymousreply 162September 1, 2014 6:51 PM

Dr. Smith on Lost in Space. Put gay rights back 100 yrs, as the Minciest Mincer who ever Minced.

by Anonymousreply 163September 1, 2014 7:27 PM

I really hated Jack on "Will & Grace." He was such a nasty gay stereotype of gay men.

I couldn't stand Toby on "The West Wing." He was such a prick. I never got why he wasn't fired.

by Anonymousreply 164September 1, 2014 7:32 PM

Dr. Smith on Lost in Space. He turned an adventure show into queeny camp with his mugging and hammy acting. What a dizzy old queen.

That UGLY girl on Mad Men who was in BORING Top of the Lake.

I hated Hoyt's bitch mama on True Blood.

Not that I watch it but the chubby kid on Modern Family is 100% annoying.

The entire cast of The Today Show. And Kelly R.

most of the original Star Trek cast other than Scotty and the unnamed hot blonde men who would inevitably die in each episode

Fake Darrin Stephens is my most hated character.

by Anonymousreply 173September 2, 2014 1:43 AM

Murray Slaughter was awful on MTM but became worse when he turned into Captain Stubing.

by Anonymousreply 174September 2, 2014 1:48 AM

I love you Mary. Gag. I just wanted to punch him in his fucking head.

by Anonymousreply 175September 2, 2014 1:58 AM

In daytime, show wrecker Ryan Lavery on AMC.

Every character Ron Rifkin played--One Day at a Time, Alias, The Sally Field Programme.

Spike on Buffy. Everyone thought he was so great, but I found him annoying as all fuck.

Pretty much all of Tony's men on The Sopranos.

Michael on Lost.

by Anonymousreply 176September 2, 2014 2:31 AM

I saw nothing wrong with the character of Jack McFarland on "Will & Grace". He was like a real-life gay man. How many out gay men have NEVER met a Jack McFarland? I also know gay men like Will Truman and Beverley Leslie. And don't you think that Leslie Jordan wasn't playing a gay "character", he was just Leslie Jordan with a script.

If people are upset with the character of Jack McFarland, maybe it hit too close to home. Maybe they see themselves in Jack. I'm dull and boring, closer to Will, so it's fun to see a character like Jack. Walk into any gay venue, and you'll find a Jack. They're part of our community, our lives.

by Anonymousreply 177September 2, 2014 3:06 AM

"maybe it hit too close to home"

For the win.

by Anonymousreply 178September 2, 2014 3:07 AM

[quote]They're part of our community, our lives.

He insults Will for being fat though he's hardly skinny by his own standards or anyone else's. Some people don't want to be defined by either one extreme or the other (too feminine or too masculine). He's constantly unemployed, a bad actor, and kind of a jerk. And he's not that attractive, honestly. I don't know how he gets laid so often.

[quote]He was like a real-life gay man.

So was Roy Cohn.

That beyond-ugly f---ing JAP (real life, not the show)CUNT-y little girl on "The Middle." Eden-something. Face could crack glass; surprised my TV set hasn't been ruined yet!, and I don't even watch the damn thing; this, just from the previews. Is probably well-done; is popular, but she is repellent. I don't usually take off on a child actor, but: HIDEOUS.

by Anonymousreply 185September 2, 2014 4:08 AM

MOst of the supporting cast of Mike and Molly.

The entire supporting cast of Two Broke Girls.

The entire cast of Modern Family.

R143: God, yes; the Marie character on Raymond. Hate, hate, HATED; kept me from watching the show more than once or twice. And I know people like it and it was successful, AND I've liked Doris Roberts in other stuff before and since. HATED "Marie"!

by Anonymousreply 190September 2, 2014 4:13 AM

R176, I feel you on Spike. I once fell out with a roommate over who was the more tolerable leading man/love interest for Buffy between Angel and Spike. She felt Spike was the better character, as he was 'edgy' (a word I despise) and more exciting. I recognise that Angel was a little one note and was not so dynamic in the plot of the show, but at least his role was a little fresh and surprising, and he wasn't written essentially as a cartoon character or an annoying Scrappy/sidekick, like Spike (until the spin-off, that is).

I never quite warmed to Jamie, the fourth brother of 'Malcolm in the Middle'. I figured one day I'd start to like him, as it took me some time to come around to Dewey, but--nothing. He was sort of a pointless character, since the show ended before he had time to grow and develop a personality.

I always liked the other three brothers, though. Reese was a great character, and very unique--the simple-minded bully whose deep insecurities and sensitivities we eventually got to see as an audience. It also helps that Justin Berfield grew into a handsome man.

Why did you hate Tim Riggins and Jason Street, r180?

by Anonymousreply 193September 2, 2014 8:02 PM

Tara from Sons Of Anarchy. I cheered when Gemma finally killed that bitch.

by Anonymousreply 194September 2, 2014 8:24 PM

Fat & nasty Roy on Wings

Gladys Kravitz on Bewitched should have been hit in the face with a large shovel. Ditto Larry Tate. Twice.

Mrs. Bellows on I Dream of Jeannie. Snobby, condescending, nosy twat.

Another vote for Patty Stanger of Millionaire Matchmaker. She can't get & keep a man for herself, but she's convinced she knows how to get you one. Shut up, bitch!

by Anonymousreply 195September 2, 2014 8:35 PM

I hated [italic]Malcolm in the Middle[/italic]. Frankie Muniz is a one-note actor who can only make one facial expression and rode that to a six-year run on a criminally overrated sitcom that took the time slot of a far superior series. But Bryan Cranston totally redeemed himself with [italic]Breaking Bad[/italic].

by Anonymousreply 196September 30, 2014 8:35 AM

I hate the angel Metatron on Supernatural. He's this evil villain cloaked in the body of a nebbishy, rumpled shlub. The only feeling he inspires for me is disdain and get off my screen. His acting is so... low key; it feels like he's just there to earn the paycheck. It doesn't help that he's played by the guy who played Booger in the Revenge of the Nerds movies.

SPN usually gets stellar actors for their short term characters - big misstep here.

Allison Sugarbaker on Designing Women.

The two rat faced supporting cast members on Moonlighting, especially when they were pushed to the front burner.

A long string of boring doctors on Grey's Anatomy: Teddy, Izzie, and the nameless interns. They should have shot all those merger interns, instead of just two.

Hollis Doyle on Scandal - just there to twirl his mustache.

Betty Draper on Mad Men, though likely more due to the fact that January Jones couldn't convincingly act out a fart. I also hate Harry Crane, but I think we're supposed to and I like Rich Sommer.

R185,

Eden Sher is brilliant. The character is *supposed* to be hated. She also looks much better in real life.

The character is Sue Heck, btw. The "middle" child.

by Anonymousreply 202October 1, 2014 3:39 PM

"Kennedy" on "Blossom". She started out with a rather pronounced British accent and as the season wore on the accent was totally dropped (probably because the powers that be realized it wasn't making her sound cute, but more a totally smackable pain in the arse).

Kurt on Glee Newman and Kramer The more I watch "The Golden Girls", the more I realize that Sophia is just a miserable bitch. Urkel and Stefan Urkel Pippa and Cousin Geri Whatever character Glenn Scarpelli played on "One Day at a Time"

by Anonymousreply 203October 1, 2014 3:41 PM

I don't understand the people who post "the entire cast of..." lists. If you hate the entire cast, why are you watching? And if you're not watching, how can you hate them? Unless you're basing it the fact that you hate the actors from other appearances... But then it's the actor you hate, not the character.

by Anonymousreply 204October 1, 2014 3:58 PM

I hate the entire cast of R204.
