Phil Collen always came across as a super nice guy. I never heard any gay rumors, really ever, in regards to him. It is odd that the some band members weren't there, since they always seem like such good friends when interviewed. But, who knows what the circumstances were. The woman looks fine. I would never completely eliminate the possibility that someone is gay. But, I really have no idea about Phil Collen. Never thought so, but, on the other hand, never really thought about it that much.

He does have a 20-year old son, and a 4-year old daughter. And, yes, i know having kids is not proof of heterosexuality. But, it at least shows he actually had sex with women, and years apart for that matter.

slight diversion but-- anyone catch Esteban Powell playing Phil in the VHI Def biopic 'Hysteria'? And does anyone know him or anything about him? He's not half bad onscreen (accent aside), but keeps his head down seemingly.

That said, I spent the movie:

a) trying to remember where I'd seen him before, (he's Carl--the campy blonde fresher in Dazed And Confused! That gets spanked by Ben Affleck..:/)

and;

b) wondering when he'd kiss Karl Geary (oddly enough, the name of the guy playing Steve Clark).

Esteban and Karl maintain body contact in all scenes, and gaze at another adoringly throughout. That chemistry only occurs with truly great or truly terrible acting. In the first case, it's a strong dynamic at work, on and off screen. In the second, it's a scramble to establish ANY kind of rapport for the camera, even if it's the wrong one entirely for the characters concerned.

But, The Terror Twins always seemed close. Without doubt they loved one another deeply--whether this turned sexual or romantic is another question. ...perhaps Esteban got it right? Or he and Karl just crushed on one another heavily during filming.

...anyway, have an IRL Steve and Phil kiss-pic as a goodwill gesture, and an advance thanks for any info. They did look like they fit well together.
