Hottie Chad Ochocinco in VH-1 Reality Show Scandal
I think he's gorgeous, but he's pissed off some potential contestants on his new show.
The drama started immediately when camera began rolling Sunday on VH1’s “Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch” in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena — with Chad eliminating most of the African-American women cast for the show.
Emails posted on the Young, Black and Fabulous blog say Chad “has identity issues and primarily chose Latinas and white girls (mostly brunette’s). Many of the black girls were eliminated right off the back (including Rabbit from Real Chance of Love)… Long story short, Chad is intimidated by a successful black woman.”
Another email from someone on the production team says: ”Now, when you watch the show it’s going to appear as if he had to narrow down 84 girls to 17! In reality 17 girls were pre-selected by the producers and flown to LA a week prior to do interviews and photo shoots for the show. The other 67 girls on set were extras filling in. When Chad arrived on set yesterday, he saw a mixed variety of nationalities that the producers had already pre-selected…five black girls, 5 spanish girls, 6 white girls, and a girl of middle eastern descent. He seemed rather upset and acted irritated. The producer felt that that he was unhappy and after talking to them off air, Chad wanted to revise the list of the pre-selected girls. He wanted to send home all of the Black girls and replace them with some of the Caucasian and Hispanic girls who were actually extras on set.”
When I interviewed executive producer Bob Horowitz last week for my Sunday story about the show, he said that some Bengals teammates could appear on the show being filmed this month in Los Angeles. So I asked if Cheryl Burke, his ”Dancing with the Stars” partner who received a diamond ring and necklace from Chad, could be seen on the show too. Horowitz said: “I don’t think so. That isn’t our plan right now.”
You can watch video from Chad filming his show at 11 p.m. tonight on VH1 here. Bet they won’t show much of the casting. ”The Ultimate Catch” premieres 9 p.m. July 11 on VH1.

Not exactly an example of a successful black woman.
R3, have you seen both of these guys young children? They are all black, not mixed.\
Many black men are turned off of black women because of their strong mother figures. This isn''t disrespect; on the contrary, they can''t sexualize the image of someone they''ve put on a sainted pedestal.
"Now, when you watch the show it''s going to appear as if he had to narrow down 84 girls to 17! In reality 17 girls were pre-selected by the producers and flown to LA a week prior to do interviews and photo shoots for the show. The other 67 girls on set were extras filling in. "\
Oh. My. God. You mean these shows aren''t real?!? Wow. Just wow.
It''s too bad. It''s always so sad to see people with these issues especially when they have Black children or children that have their complexion (whether they''re Black and have biracial children, who will be exposed to self-hate or people who have issues with people who look like them and their family). I see pics of a his kids every now and then and they''re adorable. Taye Diggs had the same issues on his sitcom! He had 0 Black women on a network with a huge Black audience and didn''t add 1 or 2 until people made a stink about it. To put it in context, if you remember he''d have different girls on every week, so for only a couple of black women to make it is especially striking because it''s out of a fairly big number. He also changed the baby from a chocolate baby to a lighter skinned baby (remember the baby he had on the show?)
TO looks really hot in the pic at R10. I betcha those two sent those Weho twinks into a tizzy when they were in town.
The problem R13, is the producers of these shows and the "stars" agents. Selling their souls for the whiteman''s dollar and crossover appeal never works.
Were biracialism bad the babies wouldn''t be the most beautiful of all.
I love Chad and TO. Doesn''t matter to me what they desire in women. What matters is what they''re packin for this gay man. And they pack heavy.
I completely agree, r15. They''re doing it with their consent, however. In the past, I''ve seen concessions made in this area, but I think..no, I know,, that that was Taye Digs desire. Ochocinco, this seems new to him. There are plenty of Black actors who have White/Non-White wives who we love but then, they don''t play out these issues on tv/in movies.
How is it racist to like a certain characteristic over another one? Blacks are just not attractive to most people who appreciate beauty so why do we get called racist? Weird.

Who are most people that appreciate beauty?
