When DL was named in the media as a gossip source, the fraus invaded. People even sent nasty e-mail to one gossip columnist because of her mention of DL.

Also, a lot of the good gossip, even relatively recently (Fincher gay claims, Bale sub stuff, various outings) wouldn''t be touched by gossip outlets because it is too incendiary. \

Most outlets now are just PR vehicles for various Hollywood interests. The fact that anything salacious comes out at all has more to do with desperate celebs trying for publicity (Blake Lively pics) or warring celebs throwing enemies overboard (Michael Bay & Megan Fox douchebag/skank war) than someone leaking real unsanctioned gossip.\
