I''ve heard that. Not sure if it is true, but I do have a friend with a high squeaky voice and she was molested by her cousin.
If you listen to "Loveline", any time they have a woman call in with little girl voice, Dr. Drew immediately pulls the "how old were you when you were molested" card out and sadly 90% of the time he''s right. If they sound like a 7 yr-old, they were molested around that time. If they sound like a 10 yr-old, same thing. Their voices stunt around the time they were molested. And these are women from 18-30.
I never connected the two.
yeah I remember the Loveline thing. I still miss the days when it was Adam Carolla & Dr. Drew. I don''t like anything they do independently of each other.
What if they sound like Louise Jefferson? I know someone like that and she sexually abused too.
No, the correlation is that if a woman of any voice is calling Loveline then she''s been molested. If she calls at 7, she was 7. If she calls at 12, well, you get the picture.
What is Jennifer Tilly''s excuse?
Minnie Mouse owns this thread.
Does my voice qualify?
r10, I remember listening to Loveline when I had an evening job and, yep, Dr. Drew and Adam were right practically every time on when the woman was molested as a child based purely on her voice. Now, when I hear a woman talking with a child-like voice, I wonder when she was molested.\
Another thing I remember Dr. Drew saying was that research on the brain showed that the section of the brain that is activated when a man looks at porn is the same section of the brain that is activated when a woman is talking. When I heard that, the differences between men and women completely made sense to me.
If a man talks in a high-pitched baby voice, does that mean he was molested?
No. It means his butt plug is slipping.
That''s an interesting theory I''ve never heard. I once worked with a woman that would do baby talk as a way of flirting with the big boss. He completely bought into it. Knocked her up and married her.\
There was another woman that I was friends with at that same job. Pretty progressive self-sufficient woman. It used to drive her crazy angry when she would hear the baby talker do her routine. She had no patience for that kind of shit.

I believe there was some serious abuse when they were children. Her sister Meg has written a novel about a girl and her sisters who are molested by their stepfather. Meg has stated that it''s based on her childhood.
What about Trista Wren, the first bachelorette, with her baby voice during all the episodes of The Bachelorette?\
Trista has dropped the baby voice somewhat now that she has been married a while and has had two children.
This always makes me think of Victoria Jackson, the fundamentalist neocon wacko who obviously has serious issues in her past.
I can''t stand women with little baby voices. I feel sorry for them because I know they can''t help it, but they sound like such idiots.
Does this mean Black Jack Bouvier molested Jackie Kennedy Onassis?
Like their real voice sounds like a baby voice all the time? Or a baby voice affectation? Or that they use baby talk often?
R10, that is just bullshit. "Dr." Drew has no clue what he''s talking about. Estimates are that 1 out of every 3 women was sexually assaulted or abused at some point in her life. Childhood sexual abuse is far more prominent than arrest statistics show. So Dr. Drew has about a 90 percent chance to correctly "guess" that a woman was abused as a child. Also, it is very possible that women who call Dr. Drew have a higher rate of sexual abuse in their past. \
There is absolutely no correlation between a high pitched voice and sexual molestation. What about the women with normal voices? You think they were not victims of abuse?
Dr. Drew is a piece of shit
Let me guess, r28. You''re a lesbian, aren''t you?
I talk through my finger.
Hasn''t it been found that lisps are a signal of childhood trauma?
Let me guess, r29. You''re an idiot, aren''t you?
Let''s trash women at the same moment we claim to be concerned for them
R28, you have no idea what you''re talking about. It is an absolutely real reaction to severe sexual trauma at a young age, no matter how much you loathe Drew.
[quote]Let''s trash women at the same moment we claim to be concerned for them\
I had claimed nothing of the kind. In any case, you''re a screaming cunt so I am not concerned in the least about you.
R34, during my years as a marriage and family therapist, I specialized in treating adolescent sex offenders. Also, my thesis was on childhood sexual trauma and I am very familiar with the research literature on the topic. Granted, that was a few years ago, but I have never heard of any connection between a high-pitched voice and childhood sexual abuse. I may not be a practicing therapist but I do keep up with my field and I''m sure I would have come across a reference to it.\
Now, some women who were abused may exhibit immature or childlike behaviors in an adult sexual scenario. And that can include baby talk. But that is not the same thing as a high-pitched voice. Your generalization is like saying 90 percent of women who like comfortable shoes are lesbians.\
You show me a real reference to this high-pitched voice theory, other than Drew Pinsky''s thoughts on it. Otherwise, stop spewing nonsense.
I think there''s a confusion in terminology. \
OP used the phrase "baby voice," then R10 called it a \
''little girl voice," and then R28 called it a "high pitched voice."\
If we agree that child-like behaviors such as speaking "baby talk" are mannerisms which can be controlled, they are different than a high-pitched voice which, presumably, is caused by physical things like the length of the vocal cords.\
If that''s the case, R10 and R28 are saying virtually the same thing: a high percentage of women who use "baby talk" tend to have been molested as children (regardless of the pitch they use for their "baby talk").\
Somehow, in the course of the thread, "baby talk" and "high-pitched voice" are being used interchangably, although they have different meanings.
"Screaming cunt", such a nice phrase to use, not misogynistic at all.
Who cares who you''re concerned about, since YOU aren''t important at all
[quote]Dr. Drew immediately pulls the "how old were you when you were molested" card\
Do you think I could get one of these at the Hallmark store?
I believe a lot of women use the baby voice because they think it is cute and men will be attracted to it.\
Marilyn Monroe, biggest sex symbol ever, used the baby voice.\
Of course you then get into the issue of why these women want to be sexually pleasing to men and it can lead to histories of abuse and promiscuity and stuff.
Paris Hilton uses the baby voice.\
Miz OP, I don''t know NOTHIN'' ''bout no mo-LES-TAY-shun!
I''ve had girlfriends who pulled the baby talk crap when trying to manipulate. Total clit wilter.
