I always thought so too OP but figured I was one of very few who noticed, I'm kind of glad you brought it up. As r3 mentioned, he had very bad back problems stemming from an accident doing a scene in some movie in the 1950s; I'm sure he wore some kind of back brace while working on Bewitched. When I was a kid in the 60s and Bewitched was a popular series, I sometimes jacked off to fantasizing about spanking his nice ass. Came to a sad end but said he always loved his fans.

Read somewhere online that he had kind of a thing for Elizabeth Montgomery which sort of annoyed her once she caught on. I guess it also irritated her that he began to take more time off due to his back--her husband produced the show. She wanted Dick Sargent from the beginning of the series as I understand. Dick York and Agnes Moorehead were fairly good friends and that she helped him sometimes financially after he left the show. Dick York came from poor circumstances; his being on the radio as a teen actor helped improve his family financially.

He really didn't do much after leaving Bewitched. IMDB lists only three credits and those weren't until the early 1980s.

James Garner had a great ass too r11--he was in some western before Rockford Files--nice ass in cowboy duds. Heard somewhere he got shot in that nice ass when he was in the army during the Korean War. Had a less than enviable childhood from the sound of it--his grandfather spanked him a lot according to what he once said on some talk show.

Almost all of the Bewitched cast members died prematurely, except the second Mrs. Kravitz. Everybody else was only in their 50s or 60s.

Did you ever watch the show? The whole point was, as Samantha explained time and again, is that she COULD have anything or anyone but she LOVED Darrin. And having someone you love is better than anything else in the world.

In other words, Dick York was the best comic actor they could get for the show. Fugliness and all.

I was sort of bored with the endless theme of Endora forever putting a spell on Darrin. From what I read, Agnes Moorhead was not too pleased that fans only associated her with the tv show when she had an extensive movie background.

None of them had an Anthony Recker ass. Shame.

I also heard that Agnes Moorehead didn't like being remembered only for her role as Endora. She thought that Bewitched would only be a one year job so she took to make some extra money.

Little known fact about Agnes Moorehead. She died in 1974 at the age of 74. Her mother outlived her by many years,dying at age 103.

Hard to believe Elizabeth only lived to 62.

I had a lot of dreams about my mother after she died which was not too long after Elizabeth Montgomery did.

In one of these dreams my mother, my youngest sister and I are shopping in the Salvation Army thrift store in my home town. We find a "Bewitched" board game (there really was one!). We drop it on the floor and as we crawl about gathering up the parts suddenly a pair of feet in chic pumps appear before us .Pan up to ...Elizabeth Montgomery in all her Samantha era glory! My sister and I gasp and say "We LOVE you!" Elizabeth and our mother say "Thanks! We love you two too!" Elizabeth twitches her nose and she and our mother vanish in a cloud of glitter.
