R1, the closest story I know of Prince supposedly holding someone hostage, was some singer that was hanging around him in the late 90's, "Anna Fantastic" (Anna Garcia). If I recall correctly, she tried to sue him, claiming he was holding her hostage via psychic powers emanating from some jacket he gave her (I'm not making this shit up).
