Jon Hamm and His Cock Get New Movie Role
Jon Hamm Starring in Tony Gilroy’s ‘High Wire Act’
May 6, 2015 | 09:17AM PT, Dave McNary, Film Reporter
Jon Hamm has signed on to star in Tony Gilroy’s political action thriller “High Wire Act,” with Brad Anderson directing for Ted Field’s Radar Pictures.
Field, Gilroy and Mike Weber are producing. Good Universe is handling international sales.
“I’m thrilled the way the project’s come together,” Anderson said. “Jon Hamm was made to play the part.”
The story is set in Beirut in the 1980s. Hamm will portray a former U.S. diplomat who is called back into service to save a former colleague from the group possibly responsible for his own family’s death.
Anderson’s previous films include “The Machinist,” “Transsiberian” and “The Call” with Halle Berry. He has also directed several TV pilots, including “Zoo” for CBS.
Gilroy and Hamm are represented by CAA. Anderson is represented by WME and LBI Entertainment.

And what movie will Jon's cock be starring in?

I wonder if Jon Hamm can make the transition from TV to movie star. Acting wise, he's just as talented and handsome as George Clooney, and he excels at comedy.
I guess he needs that right role to make his mark as a movie star.

He looks like wet shit lately, so he'll have to actually show some cock to distract from the face.

I don't know about talented, as I've probably seen no more than three movies with Clooney, but Jon Hamm is 62 zillion times more handsome.

Of course, Clooney probably never laid a hand, or a hammer, on a college classmate.

George Clooney succeeded not because he has talent (he doesn't) but because he is an Olympic Gold Medal class networker.
Hamm will fail because he hasn't made the contacts he should have, he spent too long in Mad Men and the public won't accept him as anything else. The few films he has shot since being in Mad Men have all flopped (he only had a cameo in Bridesmaids and it's success had nothing to do with him).
And look at the crap this director has already made. B lister forever.

Trailer is out. Comes out in April.
The movie is titled [bold]Beirut[/bold], not High Wire Act like the book. Rosamund Pike costars.

Can we please get Jon Hamm into an HBO series?
Feel like that is our best chance of seeing the Hammaconda.

He basically played Don Draper R13, but yes, he did well.
That is one of the best episodes of Black Mirror.

Nobody cares about this guy or his shitty movies. He’s the current spokesperson for H&R Block where he plays a spoiled, untalented actor. The Perfect role and Perfect job for this guy.

Doubtful. Bruce Willis and George Clooney started having hit movies at the height of their television fame. Mad Men has been off for a couple of years now. And it was never a ratings juggernaut to begin with.

As stunningly handsome as he is, I think he will hit his stride as a character actor. He has it in him. But most of him film roles so far have been attempts to make him fit into existing boxes.
Bridesmaids was good, because he does play a douche very well (perhaps not a long walk from the page to the stage for that one, if you get my drift.)
But I think he actually would excel in offbeat character roles. Hell, Don Draper was a bit offbeat, to be sure.

Clooney has been old and ugly for a decade and only was ever average looking anyway. What is his obsession with Muslims? Does hevwear a burqua when Anal thrashes him? Weird, unAmerican man.
