My friend hates Stevie Nicks. Are there any videos of Stevie falling or something?

This would really cheer my friend up.

by Anonymousreply 80March 6, 2021 11:09 AM

There used to be a youtube video of her kicking some teenage girl in the cunt bone.

by Anonymousreply 1March 2, 2015 9:45 PM

It's true! She did kick that girl in the cunt bone.

by Anonymousreply 2March 2, 2015 10:28 PM

No, sorry. The only videos of Stevie are of her RULING for the last four decades.

by Anonymousreply 3March 3, 2015 12:11 AM

Well for a laugh you could go to Youtube and look for the music video for the song 'Rooms on Fire' from 1989. She's as big as a house and the director insisted on filming her in extreme close-up as if that would make a difference. Instead, her moonface makes her look worse than if he showed her stuffed into her ridiculous garments and boots.

by Anonymousreply 4March 3, 2015 12:14 AM

Not that I know of but there is that South Park episode where Stevie Nicks is portrayed by a goat.

by Anonymousreply 5March 3, 2015 3:12 AM

Look for a live performance on youtube from '83-'87 when she was coked out of her mind. She must have gotten her shawl stuck in her boot mid twirl at some point.

by Anonymousreply 6March 3, 2015 3:22 AM

Just be aware that Stevie will always be cooler, richer, and more talented than your friend.

Stevie had one of the strongest pimp hands of any woman in showbiz. She's rumored to successfully hit on dazed, adoring straight female fans. She had that Lindsay Buckingham so pussy whipped he wrote multiple angst ridden anthems to their relationship. She fucked her bandmates's ugly ass husband, just out of boredom, and her bandmate (Christine) still loves Stevie as a best friend (more than her husband). She made "gypsy washerwoman" look hot.

I'm just saying your friend's a jealous loser, that's all.

by Anonymousreply 7March 3, 2015 3:25 AM

What an odd thread. Of all the people you could hate why Stevie nicks?

by Anonymousreply 8March 3, 2015 3:30 AM

Now...here you go again...you see the crystal visions

by Anonymousreply 9March 3, 2015 3:31 AM

The video for Stop Draggin My Heart Around is a hoot because she's clearly lip synching, and not too good at it.

I can't believe they didn't reshoot parts of it.

by Anonymousreply 10March 3, 2015 3:54 AM

R7 aaaahhhhh,aaaannnnk,ooooooooo

Stevie asked me to post that. That's "thank you" in goat talk.

by Anonymousreply 11March 3, 2015 4:00 AM

Stevie is the greatest living female singer-songwriter.

Landslide, Dreams, Rhiannon, Gold Dust Woman, Sara, Sisters of the Moon, Beautiful Child, Storms, Crystal, Angel, Gypsy, Edge of Seventeen, Stand Back, Rooms on Fire, I Can't Wait, I Don't Want to Know, Leather and Lace...

One can go on and on. She's clearly a goddess.

That said, you want some laughs watch her self-absorbed interviews talking about Lindsey every 5 seconds and how he's an artist and she had to support him. She's a hoot!

by Anonymousreply 12March 3, 2015 4:14 AM

God she's awful. I think your I'd get along with your friend.

by Anonymousreply 13March 3, 2015 4:19 AM

[quote]Stevie is the greatest living female singer-songwriter.

Um, no. I like Stevie, always have, but no. Joni Mitchell is the greatest living female singer-songwriter, followed (arguably) by Carole King.

Stevie's no slouch, don't get me wrong, but she's no Joni either.

by Anonymousreply 14March 3, 2015 4:22 AM

Where's the goat?

by Anonymousreply 15March 3, 2015 4:28 AM

Yeah, and where are they now? One's career is a broadway musical and the other has disappeared. Stevie's the front woman for the biggest concert tour in the world right now. And her voice has always been better than King's and Mitchell's. Now it's lower but the tone is wonderful on Landslide and Gold Dust Woman (a showstopper) especially. Have any of them written a song as emotionally devastating as Storms?

by Anonymousreply 16March 3, 2015 4:28 AM

Stevie's voice has never, ever been better than Joni Mitchell's.

Look, Stevie's great, we all loved her back in the day. She's talented, she's lovely, she's funny, she's a terrific songwriter, she's six kinds of wonderful.

And she has never had the depth, musical ability, range and sheer brilliance of Joni Mitchell. Never. I'm sorry, it's just a fact. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with Stevie Nicks - NO ONE is as great as Joni Mitchell.

If you asked Stevie, she'd tell you the same thing.

by Anonymousreply 17March 3, 2015 4:34 AM

[quote] No, sorry. The only videos of Stevie are of her RULING for the last four decades.

OMG. We have a Steviebot?

by Anonymousreply 18March 3, 2015 4:38 AM

Oh, musically that's a no-brianer.

I just think Stevie was sheer perfection during the Tusk tour performing Sara and Sisters of the Moon. Look up the Sara video from 1980...she's sublime. I think she's written quite a few perfect songs too....but Fleetwood Mac is so much a part of that, Lindsey's arrangements, and obviously one of the all-time best rhythm sections in John and Mick.

by Anonymousreply 19March 3, 2015 4:40 AM

Nixbot

by Anonymousreply 20March 3, 2015 4:43 AM

Stevie's Fleetwood Mac songs are vastly superior to her solo career's.

by Anonymousreply 21March 3, 2015 4:44 AM

"Stevie is the greatest living female singer-songwriter.

Sorry Stevie is not the one who wrote "Cherry Bomb". Can't respect her like I respect Cherie Currie.

by Anonymousreply 22March 3, 2015 4:52 AM

Joni can't sing worth a damn any more. On her 70th birthday concert/party she tried to sing but she sounds terrible now. All those years of constant smoking. Plus she seems to have turned very mean and crusty. It's really sad because 40 years ago she was at the top of her game.

by Anonymousreply 23March 3, 2015 4:53 AM

Oh, and Joni Mitchell has an entire catalogue of songs so emotionally devastating that they will lay you out for a month of Sundays.

She was that way from the very beginning.

by Anonymousreply 24March 3, 2015 4:55 AM

{r4} I just watched it and she's gorgeous in it. I don't know what you are seeing. she didn't get fat until the early 90s.

by Anonymousreply 25March 3, 2015 4:55 AM

Love Joni Mitchell, she is a genius.

by Anonymousreply 26March 3, 2015 5:05 AM

Fleetwood Mac released an EP two years ago featuring a handful of songs by Lindsey, who said they were all about Stevie. What is their relationship after all this time? Is it all an act for FM fans?

by Anonymousreply 27March 3, 2015 5:13 AM

There are tons of Stevie obsessives here.

Me, I prefer the Peter Green led version of Fleetwood Mac, the original UK blues based band. I have all their UK LPs on vinyl. I think I even have the Christine led version, "Bare Trees", I think that's the name of that LP.

I always thought the American version of FM was basically a new band, despite Fleetwood and McVie still being in the band, it was essentially a new band, they should have changed the name.

I've always found Stevie's warbling a bit twee and extremely nasally, it's not a voice I'd care to listen to on repeat. I was astonished when the public warmed to them, I never understood their success. I'm usually quite good at picking bands which will make it, I saw The Police way before their fame, I just knew they'd make it, same with U2, but Stevie Nicks becoming such an icon, I do not get at all.

by Anonymousreply 28March 3, 2015 5:23 AM

Yeah, I watched Rooms on Fire too. God I love her. I don't care that she's 66. I'd marry her in a heartbeat.

by Anonymousreply 29March 3, 2015 6:28 AM

I never go out, R29. Me go to the movie theater or a restaurant and have to meet fan? Ugh. I either tour or I stay home.

by Anonymousreply 30March 3, 2015 4:33 PM

Meh, I taught her everything she knows

by Anonymousreply 31March 3, 2015 4:35 PM

Sorry Joni and Carole King fans, but Stevie does not sound terrible. Her voice isn't as wonderful as it once was, but she sounds pretty damn great in an arena. Same for Christine McVie, who is 71. Those two are rock goddesses...the Fleetwood Mac tour is HUGE.

by Anonymousreply 32March 3, 2015 4:36 PM

[quote]Can't respect her like I respect Cherie Currie.

Respect Cherie all you like, but Joan Jett wrote "Cherry Bomb".

Dumb ass.

by Anonymousreply 33March 3, 2015 5:28 PM

Dear god some of you are as crazy as Nicks herself. That batshit crazy goat throat was never able to sing, ever. I can't imagine the drugs or dysfunction it must take to worship her as some of you do.

by Anonymousreply 34March 3, 2015 5:38 PM

R34, That's what I've been telling everyone for years!!

by Anonymousreply 35March 3, 2015 7:30 PM

I adore Stevie, but have to agree that Joni Mitchell gets the title.

by Anonymousreply 36March 3, 2015 7:33 PM

watch this especially at 4:55 and tell me she isn't an amazing singer and performer. Also listen to songs like Beautiful Child and Silver Springs, where her voice is so beautiful.

Is is the lesbians who are stanning Stevie Nicks so hard? Is it because she used to fuck the occasional girl for fun in the old days?

Come now, ladies, have a little more self-respect than that.

by Anonymousreply 39March 4, 2015 5:05 AM

Stevie has always sounded like a goat getting surprise anal.

Now she sounds like a goat with a very bad chest cold getting surprise anal.

by Anonymousreply 40March 5, 2015 3:10 PM

"What an odd thread. Of all the people you could hate why Stevie nicks?"

Why hate her? Well, such a big deal is made about her, but she would have been nothing without Lindsay Buckingham. He got her into Fleetwood Mac, he arranged and produced her songs (and made them sound much better). She got famous by being somebody's girlfriend. She continued this behavior after she and Buckingham separated, fucking her bandmate Mick Fleetwood, Don Henley, Tom Petty, Jimmy Iovine, Paul Fishkin, all of whom helped her establish her solo career.

She's madly in love with herself. Ann and Nancy Wilson were friends with her for a while; when they visited her house they said it was filled with photographs of Stevie (shades of Norma Desmond in "Sunset Boulevard"), that her house was like "a shrine to Stevie." The friendship was Stevie eventually wilted; seems the Wilson sisters couldn't keep up with Stevie, drug-wise.

She was recently on the cover of the Rolling Stone, and naturally her love life was talked about. Her last major relationship was with a guy who was 20 years young than her. The poor man was a waiter, a NOBODY, and she was ashamed of him! She wouldn't be seen in public with him! As she tells it: "One day, he came home and said, "I got two tickets for Bill Maher, will you go with me?" and I'm like, "Are you insane? No. I'm not going. I'm famous! I'm Stevie Nicks! Everybody's gonna spend the whole time taking pictures of us. And I can't keep on making excuses about why you can't go anywhere I can go. Like, can I take you to the Grammys? No. Can I go to the market with you? No. Can we go to a movie together in downtown Santa Monica? No. All we can do is stay in." I guess he was good enough to have sex with buy not good enough to be seen in public with. WHAT A CUNT!

by Anonymousreply 41March 5, 2015 3:42 PM

R41 Lindsay didn't arrange any of her solo albums, the first of which went to number one on the charts and sold more than any FM studio album post-Tusk. And are any of Lindsay's hits incorporated into the FW show the way Stevie's are?

It's sexist and ridiculous to say that Lindsay made Stevie. Are we to then assume that Mick, John and Chris made Lindsay, as evidenced by his success outside of FM? Or Rich Dashut and Ken Kallat who produced the two best albums of that groups career?

by Anonymousreply 42March 5, 2015 3:58 PM

Who's the crazy pro-life bitch on here who keeps calling Stevie a murderer?

by Anonymousreply 43March 5, 2015 4:20 PM

I taught her how to sing.

by Anonymousreply 44March 5, 2015 4:21 PM

Stevie = Goat

"It's sexist and ridiculous to say that Lindsay made Stevie>'

If not for him, nobody would know who she was. Mick Fleetwood was impressed with Lindsay's guitar work and asked him to join Fleetwood Mac. Lindsay told him yes, but only if his girlfriend Stevie could join the band, they were a "package deal." So she got into Fleetwood Mac because she was Lindsay Buckingham's girlfriend. As for her solo albums...well, she got lots of help from various lovers during the making of them (Don Henley, Tom Petty, Jimmy Iovine). She's always used men to bolster her career.

by Anonymousreply 46March 5, 2015 5:25 PM

At the height of her vocal ability 70s-80, she was fucking incredible.

Listen to this. The emotion at the end is fantastic.

And even as a "goat," her tone is pretty phenomenal.

[quote]Lindsay didn't arrange any of her solo albums, the first of which went to number one on the charts and sold more than any FM studio album post-Tusk. And are any of Lindsay's hits incorporated into the FW show the way Stevie's are?

Why are you conflating chart success with quality? I love Stevie as much as anyone, but she benefited enormously from Lindsey's help, and the difference between the material on Bella Donna and that on the FM albums up to that point makes that very clear.

Lindsey's solo "Big Love," radically different than any version that would have been played by the band, has been a part of their show since the Tango tour. And other of their songs, like Tusk and Go Your Own Way were written and produced by him, so do really qualify as his songs.

by Anonymousreply 48March 5, 2015 7:29 PM

That was amazing R47. How do you cut a vocal performance and song like that from an album?

Beautiful Child is an incredible song. I cry when I hear it. I thought her recent live performances of that song were fantastic. She does not sound like a goat. Most her contemporaries including Joni and Carole don't have much left vocally.

by Anonymousreply 49March 5, 2015 7:48 PM

I hate Stevie Nicks

by Anonymousreply 50March 5, 2015 7:50 PM

In re Joni Mitchell and Carole King:

[quote]Yeah, and where are they now? One's career is a broadway musical and the other has disappeared

Joni's disappeared? When, last week?

Stevie would love being on a few new magazine covers, having tribute concerts dedicated to her genius and albums of artists covering her songs. She'd also love a Broadway show being made out of her music.

I don't put Stevie Nicks down, I've always liked her. There is no reason to put down Joni Mitchell or Carole King on her behalf. It's weird and stanny.

Goatse Nicks

by Anonymousreply 52March 5, 2015 9:22 PM

A lot of people get into the business with help. But you don't have thirty plus years of successful solo hits and albums without having some talent. Stevie Nicks has talent.

Lindsay is talented, but is not some wunderkind, His attempt to produce FW resulted in an album that was considered a flop at the time of its release and was called self indulgent by many critics. It hindered the groups success greatly. And solo wise, he's never reached even half the heights that Stevie has. Give Stevie credit, she could have left FW behind in the early 80's, but out of respect and appreciation, she has performed with them and continues to do so. Hardly a nasty woman.

With the right producer, Stevie can still sound pretty damn good. Here she is singing a Dave Grohl-produced track for the Sound City compilation album from a couple of years ago; her vocals are Wild Heart-era quality:

by Anonymousreply 59March 5, 2015 11:33 PM

{r47} the song just wouldn't fit. They couldn't take any of the other writers songs off contractually. I read the producers book and they tried to cut the song down, but it still wouldn't fit. I don't wanna know was recorded after they decided that they couldn't fit Silver Springs. Gold Dust woman wasn't going anywhere.

I will say this about Gravel Gertie Nicks: the witch can sing in tune.

And I've seen hundreds of her youtube videos, listened to her song demos, and attended many FM concerts.

In fact, there is only 1 time when I heard sing a bad note. It's on a rehearsal of an early version of "Silver Springs." She hit 1 bum note.

I was shocked.
