Do The "Teen Mom" Girls Remain Stars Afterward?

RadarOnline/Star is apparently on the payroll. They run stories on the Teen Mom girls every single day. I've never watched the show or clicked on one, but I know all the characters names and situations just from scrolling.

That's Amber, the biggest piece of shit among many from that series. I'm pretty sure her dad drove himself to an early grave via drink. She'll be lucky to make it to 50 herself--she's an addict at heart and I see a big future in hillbilly heroin for her.

I'd say the first crop or two of Teen Moms still have some tabloid appeal (calling them "stars" is too much). That shit gets repetitive fast so only the biggest nightmares have a shot at living off tabloid money.

Screw these Teen Moms! We need some covers of classier celebrities, like Bethenney Frankel and Kris Jenner!

I can't be the only one who watches this shit. I'm doing a mini-binge on VOD.

R9, it was a mutual decision of Caitlynn and Tyler to put their first child up for adoption. It was his dad and her mother that were pissed. It was quite interesting since Tyler's dad has spent most of his adult life in and out of jail. Caitlynn's mother hasn't been that great of a parent either. So, both of them needed to shut the fuck up.

Catelyn's mother April was an abusive meth addict who has been clean for about a minute. Yet, Catelyn dumps her daughter on her for days at a time. The little girl spends more time over there than she does with Cate and Tyler.

I can't believe these shows exist. Every single one of these children should have been put for adoption. Teen parents are reckless and irresponsible, evidenced by the fact that they got pregnant/got someone pregnant at such a young age.

Jace is a lost cause. The few times that I've seen Teen Mom 2, he's been shown treating Barb the same way that Jenelle does. I remember Barb telling him that she didn't think that it was a good idea for him to spend time with his mother, as every time he returned he was "mean."

You're right. Jace doesn't stand a chance going back and forth between the two and all the fighting they do in front of him.

I remember Janelle once telling her lawyer she couldn't go to court (and possibly jail) on a particular date because she had tickets to a Ke$ha concert and Ke$ha's music really speaks to her.

Teen Mom 3 was a colossal bomb. I'm not sure but I think MTV yanked it mid-season or didn't renew a second season. Viewers hated the girls, said they were boring and not enough drama. That's when they went back to the first two groups and started the OG series. I still don't know what the OG means.

Catelyn and Tyler seem to regret giving up their kid. I feel bad for the family that adopted their child.

We also have to remember that Barb raised Jenelle. Drugs aren't the only thing to blame for the way that she is.

My personal theory about Catelyn and Tyler is that they wanted to give their first daughter a better life than the trailer trash livin' they were doing but may not have been 100% about it. Then MTV got involved and the checks started rolling in. They probably realized after the first season or so of Teen Mom that they could have afforded to keep Carly because of the money they got from the show. I don't think they got much from 16&P. The way they basically neglect Daughter #2 proves that they weren't/aren't ready to be good parents. I think Maci is the only good mother on Teen Mom.

r25 OG is slang from rap music, Original Gangsta or just Original. The girls from season one are the original teen moms, the others are not.

R27 Bentley seems like the most well adjusted of all those kids. I liked Macy's first boyfriend post-Ryan. I think his name was Kyle.

I think Caitlyn was on 20/20 after 16&P but before Teen Mom. It was segment about open adoption. It might have been someone else but I remember watching it. She was on there alone. No Tyler. An upcoming episode will show the adoptive parents saying no to a visitation request. She and Tyler are a mess, I don't blame them.

Jenelle and Farrah are both quite obviously products of their fucked-up parents. Barb is an alcohol-fueled nightmare and Debra has got to be on something.

Amber leads the way for trashiest drama segment in the new season of TM OG. Trying to bond with all of Matt's kids and even offering to give his daughter a makeover. She's driving a new red Corvette which might boost her self esteem. Gary continues his journey into 600lb. territory. He's one of the better fathers in the franchise so hopefully he'll lose weight. I don't think his weight is lazy weight, it looks medical.

Ryan was by far the hottest guy from the franchise, but looks a shadow of his former self. I don't watch the show consistently, but whenever I do, it so obvious that he is going through the motions of being a father and that he was forced into by his parents.

Ryan is not going through the motions of being a father. He's not really trying and no one can force him, especially his parents. He went 7 years before he decided to dip his toe in being a part-time sibling to his son and that's all.
