Fan here!

It was so much better 20 years ago.

I cannot stand Noory. I like when Darkness Dave hosts, I listen to his show via the podcast. But man I miss the days of crazy Art Bell: Mel's Hole, Alien Burrito, JC, John Titor, Lt Philip Corso. And the child Filipino bride and move to the Manila! Some of the best bumper music ever too.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 12, 2014 5:15 AM |
I listen to it on sirius. It's good stuff to fall asleep to
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 12, 2014 5:35 AM |
Totally agree, r4..I listen to it as I go to bed on KFI AM 640 on my Heart Radio app. I heard that Coast to Coast will be broadcast in stereo soon!
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 12, 2014 5:39 AM |
I love Darkness Dave his show is way better than C2C now.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 12, 2014 5:40 AM |
Noory has homogenized the show terribly, and he's been slowly increasing the number of idiotic RWNJ guests. Just give me aliens, sasquatches, and ghosts, please.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 12, 2014 3:53 PM |
bump
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 13, 2014 5:23 AM |
lost me w/ his right-wing commentators like the renowned plagiarist and wife-beater, "Jerry" Jerome (swift boat)Corsi. Noory sucks at interviews..unintelligent with absolutely no follow-ups. Stick to the UFOs.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 13, 2014 6:58 AM |
Noory always has these silly non-responses to what the guests say that you can tell are just filler, and that he doesn't really care about what they're saying.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 13, 2014 7:19 AM |
I fucking hate Noory and he has destroyed the show. Luckily, Art Bell is coming back after September 2015. Right now he has to wait until his no competition contract expires and it will expire in September 2015, then he's launching another show.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 13, 2014 7:24 AM |
There was a time when New York talent had to move 100-miles to work. AFTRA got the changed. Other states have also eliminated Non-Compete contracts.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 13, 2014 11:14 AM |
I prefer Phil Hendrie's... "tribute" to coast-to-coast.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 13, 2014 11:17 AM |
I like George Knapp. He mainly sticks to UFOs. I also like when they have celebrities come on and talk about their interest in the unknown.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 13, 2014 12:50 PM |
I like Knapp too, R14 . He sticks to the meat-and-potatoes ufo/supernatural/weird crime stuff. Plus, he's acerbic and funny, and unlike Noory, he seems engaged with the topics and guests. He knows what he's talking about. He also isn't enamored with any of the right-wing looney tunes nonsense.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 13, 2014 2:52 PM |
Loved it when Art hosted in the 1990s, can't listen now. Noory is worse than that Mike Siegel guy who took over for a spell during one of Art's early retirements about 15 years ago.
I will absolutely listen to any new Art Bell show.
Does Noory still give that remote viewing guy who's always wrong a platform for his madness? Major Ed Dames, I think was his name. How about Richard C. Hoagland?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 13, 2014 3:07 PM |
Haven't listened in a couple of years but I loved the Friday call in shows when the demon would call in.
All in all, best entertainment on radio, no matter who hosts it.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 13, 2014 4:03 PM |
R16, Yes he does and it's so fucking retarded because nothing he says ever comes true. That stupid numbers lady is also routinely given air time. In addition, he continues to give air time to fakes, frauds and con artists.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 13, 2014 4:08 PM |
Sounds like good listening if I could ever stay awake that long.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 13, 2014 4:10 PM |
That witch that was a regular guest on the show, the one who had that horrible smoker's voice, was outed as a Satanist. I read it online. Apparently she formed her own Satanic cult back in the 70s and then when that went bust she reinvented herself as a witch who fights evil.

[quote]I prefer Phil Hendrie's... "tribute" to coast-to-coast.
General Johnson Jameson!
God I miss the glory days of BOTH Phil and Art. Phil in his heydey (pre-"Teachers" and divorce) was I swear the funniest man ever.

[quote]Noory is worse than that Mike Siegel guy who took over for a spell during one of Art's early retirements about 15 years ago.
It got to the point that Mike Siegel's ONLY guest was hypnotist/past-life regressionist/"dentist" Dr. Bruce Goldberg, who was always more than willing to fill in for the no-show guests.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 13, 2014 11:42 PM |
It was great when Art Bell was the host, but has devolved into a right-wing psychofest in order to fit in better on the mostly right-wing talk stations it's broadcast on. Tons of oblique Obama bashing, endless conspiracy crap about the economy and guns. Racist fuckwads like Jerome Corsi and Alex Jones. I want Bigfoot, aliens, ghosts, time travelers and demons, dammit. Not a slightly wackier Rush Limbaugh show.
Plus, Noory is one of the worst interviewers I've ever heard - he always seems to be a beat behind his guests, talking all over them and making weird or inappropriate interjections. How he has managed to forge a career as a radio professional is anybody's guess.
It's worth listening when George Knapp hosts, because he's an very good interviewer who sticks mostly to the traditional Coast subjects (UFOs, etc). But the glory days are well over. Come back, Art! We promise not to be grossed out by your Filipina child bride!
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 14, 2014 11:22 AM |
Was Sylvia Browne ever a recurring guest? I would listen when Art hosted. It was entertaining.
I don't like Noorey, and I switched it off as soon as I think a guest I full of shit. My favorite shows were about cryptozoology and humanoid sightings from around the world - many of which were reported to police.
I never liked that carnival barker Hoagland because he rips off the original works of the guy from marsanomalyresearch.com, imo.

So my post contains errors. Whatever.

Guest: And that's why the Pleaidian spirit guides want us to protect ourselves by coating ourselves in white light of spiritual protection.
Noory: ...
Guest:We must protect our mind-soul energy!
Noory: We *sure* do. It's like I say-you gotta be careful out there, these days.
---------------------------------
That's what every Noory interview feels like to me. He just spouts cliches.
How did everyone feel about Ian Punnett(sp?)?
He did sometimes have shows that were a little bit less supernatural in subject matter, but still interesting. Often pop culture, psychology, or true crime.
Does anyone remember a weird woman temporary weekend host named...like Rollye or something?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 14, 2014 11:44 AM |
Yes, it's like Noory recorded cliches one afternoon in 2003 and now the radio lackeys press some buttons. Non sequitur after bullshit segue after a word from our sponsors.
He is like a boring salesman who never gets to the pitch. The show falls apart with anyone but Art.
You can sign up on that site and access old shows with art. I'm thinking of making my favorite old shows part of my bedtime ritual. No commercials!

Someone like Philip Corso was interesting because he actually had the credentials, but most guests are new age quaks or self/made pseudoscientists.
Also Bell still had somewhat of a BS detector; the only time I ever heard Noory protest the claims of a guest, was when David Wilcock (the 'Ancient Aliens' guy) predicted there would disclosure of ET/life (by Obama and a bevy of actual aliens!) at the end of 2009.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 14, 2014 12:16 PM |
ALL the people on Coast to Coast are liars and con artists. has done more to make America ignorant than Fox News and Rush Limbaugh combined. It's cemented the whole "You can't tell us what to think, we'll believe anything we want cause it's fun" attitude into our national psyche.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 14, 2014 12:30 PM |
I think Noory cemented his status as a moron when he mentioned on air that he ate a pizza roll that came right out of the microwave, burning his throat in the process.

I liked Ian Punnett. He seemed like a really cool, nice guy. He's some sort of pastor, but he never got haughty about it. Plus he actually seemed somewhat liberal. Probably why he's no longer weekend hosting.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 14, 2014 3:59 PM |
R16 Mike Siegel was the pits. At least Noory groks aliens, conspiracy and ghosts. Mike Siegel's nighttime show before he took over C2C was middling political talk done wrong. I remember MS doing a UFO topic one night and noted how bad he was at it. Well he didn't last that long as the Coast to Coast host no matter what the reason.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 14, 2014 4:10 PM |
I miss the guy who used to play tapes of Hillary Clinton speaking backwards and pretended she was saying things like "I want to fuck Monica."
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 14, 2014 4:16 PM |
R13 you just reminded me of Phil Hendrie's Doug Dannger who would always proclaims that "i'm a gay man and a gay journalist!"
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 14, 2014 4:29 PM |
C2C used to have an old woman guest host from time to time. The last I heard from her was in the early 2000s. Anybody know her name and if she is still alive? She was pretty good.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | December 14, 2014 4:33 PM |
John B. Wells was fired for being too popular
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 14, 2014 4:40 PM |
John B Wells makes Rush Limbaugh look like a liberal! He has a great voice and did a decent job BUT he's an Obama hater of the highest order. Calling him a right wing nut would be apropos in his case.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 14, 2014 4:58 PM |
John B Wells is the host who was friends with Philip Marshall, who died under very weird circumstances when he was about to publish a book on 9/11. Seems like any mention of 9/11 gets you silenced. It will not be discussed.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 14, 2014 5:09 PM |
R31, He's one of the least-liked hosts. His shows were boring and never on topic for coast to coast am.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | December 14, 2014 5:17 PM |
R28, I looked up David Wilcock to see which Ancient Aliens guy he is. I found this pic. Ignore his ugly mug, and marvel at the beautiful scenery behind him.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 15, 2014 2:00 AM |
R24, Sylvia Browne was on once and then Noory banned her for life. It was when the shit hit the fan with her fake predictions being wrong. Ironically and hypocritically, Noory has numerous other fake psychics on the show who are never right either.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 15, 2014 2:06 AM |
I liked Ian Punnett too but his topics weren't the greatest.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | February 23, 2015 8:31 PM |
Punnett had a few true crime topics that were kind of interesting. He did several shows about the Smiley Face Killer stuff, and DB Cooper.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | February 23, 2015 10:13 PM |
There are rumors David Wilcock is gay/bi, one can hope, love that bright, wacky guy.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | February 26, 2015 1:41 PM |
What about JC Webster the Third, God's ten-star, ten-star, ten-star General in the WAR against media pornography? Those call-ins used to crack me up, all those stories about his compound and the cult he had set up, and Edna who ran off with a biker or a trucker or something.
I never knew what his deal was. I assume it was a performance art type thing, but I do wonder if the earliest calls were a legitimate caller who then got parodied by someone else.
