Whatever to them? A novelty act in Vegas?

Tony was just at Chiller the big autograph show in New Jersey this weekend.

It seems [italic]The Love Guru[/italic] did as much for Telma Hopkins' career as it did for Mike Myers'.

Telma had a long career in multiple sitcoms. Joyce retired from show business, I think. And yep, Tony's still out there working.

Joyce is touring with a Supremes cover grouping.

He looks damn good despite the Chiclet teeth, here with Debbie Gibson at Chiller this weekend.

Tony Orlando and Dawn were still together as a group until Tony went nuts on stage and stormed off because of the suicide of his friend Freddy Prinz. Tony threw some stage furniture or props and stormed off. That was the last I ever heard of TO & D.

Dawn is gone. Tony still performs old hits.

If he was upset over it, how do you think WE felt? Our jobs depended on him.

Dawn was formed because Tony Orlando was under contract to another studio, not as a singer but as a cleaner.
He said, "I can't sing as it's wrong cause I have a contract. But I can do it under a pseudonym." Jose Feleciano was his back up singer and said, "If it's wrong for you to record outright, how does it become right to do it in disguise."
Orlando told him it was called gaming the system and to shut the fuck up he'd get a bunch of negros to back him up as they don't mind gaming the system for things.
And the rest is history.

She doesn’t tour with a Supremes cover group, R4. She tours with two actual former Supremes from the group during the (post-Diana Ross) ‘70s, Scherrie Payne and Susaye Greene.

WTF? Why are you bumping a 4-year-old thread?

I remember Star magazine reporting on this. They said as he left the stage, Dawn started singing, "Do you know where you're going to?" When I was 10, I thought that was so dramatic. Now I think it was staged.
