I've read enough threads here at DL and on a dozen other internet forums to know that most cops are complete fucking psychos! And when they abuse you (not *if* but *when*), you have nowhere to turn.

But let's say the cop you date isn't an abusive psycho and you have a longterm loving relationship and are both very happy. Then you have to constantly worry about him being killed on duty, whether by a criminal, or just some idiot who rams into his car at a traffic stop (seriously, people drive into stopped police cars all the fucking time), or even by his fellow officers who are eliminating him for not being a corrupt psycho like they are!

No. Even if they're nice, kind and ready to make a difference in the force they've decided to join a profession defined by brutality, corruption and polyester.
