"Botched" on E!

love this show! can't believe no one posted here for season 1. Season 2 is on now.

Some of the patients on here quite fucked up mentally.

Do they deal with botched circumcisions?

Plastic surgery topics don't go well on DL...unless it involves making fun of bad work or saying that Jane Fonda had good work (only her though).

I think the queens here all gave up on their looks once they couldn't have sex anymore in the 80s.

The noses that Nassif has been making on the show look bizarre and awful, even considering that they are swollen. Dwight (from real housewives of atlanta) looks like the "before" pic of nose surgery...the girl tonight has a nose that he made stick out 5 feet from her face.

Terry Dubrow's body work is looking much better.

I almost spit out my drink when that tranny said she got her breast implants out because she is a top.

Janice was on one of the entertainment sites tonight with her lawyer. What happened to Janice's face? Forget her boobs, what did she do to her face? That's a shame.

Janice seemed to be a bitch of the highest power. Enough with the Sylvester Stallone paid for my tits crap. That's like Zaa Zaa Gabor telling us Lionel Barrymore paid to have her vag rejuvenated. Move on toots!

Dr. Dubrow makes me horny. Great personality backed by the skills of a talented Dr. He seems to like to show his chest a lot too on Good Work. I think he's one of those straights that like the attention of the gays.

I don't blame Dr.Nassif for those 2 noses.

It was explained that no matter what they would never have perfect noses. They were so badly botched.

Dwight had had 5 nose jobs and had no cartiledge. The purpose of his latest surgery was so he could breathe thru the nose.

The latest female patient was so badly botched. Dr Nassif was very upfront that he could not give her a perfect nose.

Those aren't her implants drooping like that; that's her skin. No doubt they did a breast lift while replacing the implants.

And there is no.fucking.way women are going to pay several thousand dollars every ten years to swap out their boob implants, especially when they get older and lose their jobs, or retire on a fixed income.

When I worked in a PACU, the plastic surgeons claimed implants were good for 20 years. I guess that wasn't working out too well for them, so they upped it to 10 years in order to double their money.

Like how dentists claimed dental implants lasted a lifetime -- until they didn't. Now they last "up to 15-20 years." In another 5 years, dentists will claim implants need to be replaced every 10 years.

And BTW, when a plastic surgeon quotes you a price, that doesn't include anesthesiologist or time on an OR and PACU. At least not in NYC. It can cost just as much for the OR/PACU/anaesthesia as it costs for surgery.

And when a plastic surgeon says, "If you need more liposuction after the first round, it's free," ....... it's not free. They're still going to charge you an arm and a leg for OR and recovery time.

Good Work kills my brain cells. Is Botched any better? I feel the cells sliding down my spinal column, perhaps I can reprocess them as filer and manage to watch 1 episode of Botched. But there is a point of no return on stupidity injections.

I love Botched. My boss went to Dr Nassif because he is an expert in ethnic rhinoplasty - she's black - and he did a great job. She didn't have that carved Janet Jackson or Beyonce look afterward.

R6 I agree, Dr. Dubrow looks good, has a great body and you just know that his ‘equipment’ performs well. He gets me all horned up.

R10, Did you find out how much it cost to get a nose job from Dr. Nassif? I love the show and I always wonder how much are the patients paying for their services. If they’re the “best in the business” they must be really expensive.

I've watched every show from every season. It's very entertaining. Some of the patients are narcissistic nuts but it's heartwarming to see regular people with terrible plastic surgery get help. There must be many, many people walking around in emotional and physical pain from being botched.

I can’t wait for next episode...here’s the synopsis: Botched: Season 6, Episode 8 A facial skin graft growing pubic hair challenges Dr. Nassif; Dr. Dubrow boogies with a boob dancing patient who's back for surgery. They keep showing the preview with the woman growing pubic hair on her face. It’s absolutely unfathomable this happened to her.

I don’t know quite why, but I find the name Janice amusing.

Dubrow is the brother of Kevin Dubrow from Quiet Riot.

r13, my boss paid around $35k for Dr Nassif to do her nose. This amount included what she budgeted separately for aftercare, meds, everything, the anaesthetist, accommodation, her flights out etc. She had quite a deviated septum but it wasn't worth it to use insurance and in any case, she lives out of state.

Yes, you can go elsewhere and get it done as well and cheaper. But as I said, she's black and reasonably few cosmetic surgeons are truly expert in dealing with the challenges the skin texure and physiognomy and not giving that "black woman who got a nose job" look. I know it, you know it, we all know it. She is prone to forming keloid scars and had known 2 people who had seen him already. As it was, he was recommended by a reconstruction specialist at our local university teaching hospital. During her initial consultation he actually asked him is she should also get lipo under her chin and he said no, it wasn't worth it, and showed her modelling on the computer why not, which impressed her. She is wealthy and can afford him and it was a good choice as the results speak for themselves. She's gone from a nice looking enough woman with a broad, drooping nose to straight up goodlooking.

Stupid bitch Dickenson wanted to go clubbing after she had surgery. She had drains hanging out of her armpits.

I'll be glad when the fashion for extreme body modification is over. Nobody needs breast implants, for fuck's sake. And yes, that extends to the trans community.

R10,R20...I appreciate your detailed response to my question. Your boss is lucky that she could afford his services, especially when dealing with issues of black skin and facial features. I remember when Dwight from Atlanta Housewives went to Dr. Nassif to fix his botched nose. He did a really good job, especially when he didn’t have much nose to work with.

R23 This is one person’s experience and a case study not solid statistical evidence but her husband and I have noticed that people treat her better now. My boss was always capable and likeable and whip-smart but she garners more respect from strangers. Clients are quicker at ease. All the straight men we work with are unconsciously friendlier. The delivery guys always flirt. Even the women are nicer.

It’s not that she now has a bland button nose or a less “black” nose - in fact she wears her hair natural in a short Angela Davis style - but she looks like the best possible version of herself given her bone structure.

It’s almost comical how we humans are.

I've never understood why the nipple is THE part of a breast that has to be pixelated for "decency" as if showing the entire rest of it would be any less titillating.

I guess because the best of the breast looks like normal boring skin?
