And thanks to the Internet, Twitter etc. I can basically stalk him every day. I have found his address, his mother's name and all sorts of personal details which means I'm getting sucked in deeper and deeper.

Try to develop a new hobby or interest that will take your mind off him
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 12, 2014 3:16 PM |
I am NOT a minor celebrity, OP.
Are you fat? You sound fat.
I CAN HELP!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 12, 2014 3:20 PM |
Post a pic of him. We'll tell you if he's worthy of stalking.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 12, 2014 3:23 PM |
Yeah, we need to see a pic. Or at least describe him.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 12, 2014 3:24 PM |
Just smoke copious amounts of pot, silly.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 12, 2014 4:50 PM |
I am always so surprised at what people actually put out about themselves, especially people in the public eye. They constantly post pictures of themselves at home, in their car or at places they frequent. You can actually see what most of the inside of their houses look like
If a mentally disturbed person wanted to find these people, they could do it very easily and they could do it with information that the person willingly put out on the internet on their Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 12, 2014 4:56 PM |
Has this celebrity been mentioned on the datalounge before?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | July 12, 2014 4:59 PM |
Stop.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 12, 2014 5:12 PM |
Has this person performed in the legitimate theater?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 12, 2014 5:22 PM |
I love you, R9 (and so do the regions)!

Self realization is the first step, Paris.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 12, 2014 5:49 PM |
How the hell did you find his address? That's good, these days.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | July 12, 2014 6:12 PM |
Is he in the legitimate theater?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 12, 2014 8:16 PM |
Meet him in person, OP. Odds are 3-1 you'll wish you hadn't.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | July 12, 2014 8:27 PM |
I can sympathize, OP. I haven't tried to find out the address of "my" minor celebrity, but I've sucked everything about him out of the internet that's on there, so to speak. I do a Google search for his name (restricted to new results) almost every day, and I get a little shot of excitement whenever I see his name on my twitter feed. I'm pretty sure that nobody who doesn't know him personally has as many pictures of him saved on their computer as I do.
I have a strong feeling he'll become much more famous in the next few years, and then my obsession will probably wane. When there'll be information about/pictures of him all over the place, I'll probably become over-saturated (and the fun of the "hunt" will be gone).
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 12, 2014 8:58 PM |
Tom Berenger?
If so, be careful if he is anything like Gary Cooper White in LOOKING FOR MR. GOODBAR.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 12, 2014 9:02 PM |
I'm almost as bad. I've struck up a correspondence with someone who's an actual celebrity, but only in his (very specialized) field. It makes me irrationally happy to hear from him.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 12, 2014 9:04 PM |
R16 has it right. Go with it. What's the harm?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 12, 2014 9:10 PM |
Tell me, OP, are you involved with your celebrity's online fandom - assuming he has one?
If not, don't. From what I've seen of online fandoms, once you get serious they suck your whole life away. And the way to get over an obsession like that is to improve your real life.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 12, 2014 10:45 PM |
R14, see R9.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | July 12, 2014 10:48 PM |
i followed a minor celebrity for his selfies. the rest of his tweets underwhelm.

Robin Thicke?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 12, 2014 11:28 PM |
I'm obsessed with a minor (used to be major) celebrity too. But at least I live 5000 miles away from her.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 13, 2014 12:20 PM |
My minor celebrity is Brett Baxter Clark. I would never stalk him, but I'd like to know hi .
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 13, 2014 12:42 PM |
OP, do you follow this celebrity via his Twitter? If so, post something about him on your page and maybe he will answer you.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | July 13, 2014 12:45 PM |
If you know how to reach him directly (snail mail, email, twitter), send him some nude selfies of yourself. You will either get his attention, or that of the FBI...
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 13, 2014 12:51 PM |
Just name him or her goddamnit, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | July 13, 2014 12:53 PM |
Depending on how celebs use twitter you can find out amazingly personal, up to the minute information about them. Stalking performers who live in NYC would be very easy.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 13, 2014 1:39 PM |
minor celebrity = soap opera actor
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 13, 2014 1:43 PM |
R15 is right. Even the nice celebrities aren't anything like you'll imagine they'll be.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | July 13, 2014 1:58 PM |
R31 But now that celebrities do interviews and Q&As all the time, wouldn't you be able to at least get a hint of their real personality?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | July 13, 2014 2:01 PM |
R31 And how about a few examples?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | July 13, 2014 2:05 PM |
It's called AIDS dementia, dearie. You need meds and a nice rest home facility to occupy your creepy thoughts.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 13, 2014 2:08 PM |
Obsession is a conscious choice, and it's not a healthy one if you're digging up information on someone you'll never meet.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 13, 2014 2:43 PM |
Oh, I'll meet him. I'll meet him and I'll cook for him.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | July 13, 2014 2:47 PM |
R35 Or will he....
by Anonymous | reply 37 | July 13, 2014 5:09 PM |
If OP doesn't reply to this thread he can't be that obsessed. Or maybe he doesn't really want help.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | July 13, 2014 11:09 PM |
I have been on twitter all day today hoping for an update. Thank God there was one last night. He's visiting family. I'm thinking of going to his apartment to see what it looks like from the street tomorrow.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | July 13, 2014 11:13 PM |
Care to give us any hints on who it is?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | July 13, 2014 11:16 PM |
Go to his house! Do it! Please...it would be so romantic. Do it. Go to him! Go. Right now. He is going to fall in love with you.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | July 13, 2014 11:22 PM |
Maybe you should also find out what the street looks like from his apartment.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | July 13, 2014 11:23 PM |
and why do we care?
by Anonymous | reply 43 | July 13, 2014 11:24 PM |
OP, if you're actually concerned about this obsession, stop feeding it.
[quote][R31] But now that celebrities do interviews and Q&As all the time, wouldn't you be able to at least get a hint of their real personality?
No, that's their job. I read a quote years ago that went something like "An interview is the best ten minutes you're ever going to get from a celebrity." They gear up for that shit. t
by Anonymous | reply 44 | July 13, 2014 11:24 PM |
I had a major obsession with a B list celebrity. This has never happened to me before. I generally could not care less about celebrities. I frequently checked him out online and collected a lot of pictures and video clips. I bought several of his movies on dvd just to watch him. It was ridiculously easy to find on the internet the addresses of his last two houses. When I was in LA a few years ago I drove by his house. There was nothing to see unfortunately because his house was set behind walls and plantings. In the last couple of years there has been a lot of unfavorable publicity about him. When my fantasy eventually didn't match his reality, that was the end of my obsession.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | July 13, 2014 11:39 PM |
R45 Yet you still can't say who it is?
by Anonymous | reply 46 | July 13, 2014 11:42 PM |
Does he appear in a PIK-cha opening in the next few weeks?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | July 13, 2014 11:44 PM |
When do you think a celebrity crush becomes unhealthy?
by Anonymous | reply 48 | July 13, 2014 11:48 PM |
I'm enjoying the What's My Line references :-) "the legitimate theater" hehe
by Anonymous | reply 49 | July 13, 2014 11:53 PM |
When you start looking for his house, going to his house, spending hours of time online searching for tid-bits of information, watching his movies over and over again, it's gone too far. Stop.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | July 13, 2014 11:54 PM |
R50 OK, so if you're not doing that, your obsession/crush is perfectly healthy. Thanks, I feel much better now.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | July 13, 2014 11:58 PM |
I didn't say that, R51, I just listed a few things that are creepy and "too far" in my view. Others may have more to add but you actually seem to already know. If it's bothering you, if you are asking yourself if it's "too much" then it probably has already gone past an acceptable level.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | July 14, 2014 12:05 AM |
I had a fixation with one soap actor/model, for about two years. I thought about him all the time, and checked his Instagram daily. I think I was obsessed with him because he never posted pics with his girlfriend and he is always traveling for big time modeling campaigns. I started to believe he was actually closeted, which he might be, I dont know. I think it becomes unhealthy when it goes from admiration to a feeling of aching loneliness, like you should be with that person.
I won't reveal who he is because if I want to start a thread on him here, I know I'll get flamed for being his stalker or whatever, which I'm not.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | July 14, 2014 12:06 AM |
If it makes you happy, you have self-awareness and you aren't thinking of tracking them down then it's not really unhealthy/creepy I think.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | July 14, 2014 12:10 AM |
It isn't the Trivago guy, is it?
by Anonymous | reply 55 | July 14, 2014 12:20 AM |

I knew a little pocket lesbian stalker named Polly. She was a mousy girl, not compelling in any way, but very sweet. The celebrity (a longtime female star) has legions of lesbian fans. Polly actually met her once, when the celebrity stormed out of her car at a traffic light and screamed at her: "Why are you following me?!"
She confided in me about her obsession with this star and mentioned she had been to London and got into the celebrity's house while she and her family were away. Polly told me that she found a box at the door from her son, and in that box was a key...to the house. So she took the key and planned it out. She knew when she would go in, how long she'd stay, and what she'd look for. When I told her I didn't believe her, she produced some photographs of the star on vacation with her family in a tropical resort. They were obviously candid, family photos and now I believed Polly was guilty of breaking and entering as well as being a possible psychopath. She seemed helpless against her obsession and I found that a little scary. It was escalating and now she could get locked up. We worked in a word processing center together. I began to plot my escape thinking. She was sweet, but Polly the Pocket Lesbian freaked me the fuck out.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | July 14, 2014 2:05 AM |
R58 Is there any reason you didn't name the celebrity?
by Anonymous | reply 59 | July 15, 2014 6:01 PM |
How's it going Mr Stalker?
by Anonymous | reply 60 | July 19, 2014 5:05 PM |
r58 - so Polly opened a parcel of mail? That's illegal right there.
If the son dropped off the box and left it at the front door without postage and this box happened to have a key in it and your friend opened the box, found the key, etc etc -- that sounds rather fishy. So if your friend got into the house - she certainly didn't do it via a key she found.
That said - I am very interested in this Polly. What happened to her?
by Anonymous | reply 61 | July 19, 2014 8:00 PM |

What level of celebrity is Julian Morris?
by Anonymous | reply 67 | March 3, 2018 12:21 PM |
I was obsessed with a couple celebrities who quit acting in the 80s and just disappeared. They were intriguing to me because of the mystery. I tried to find them to see what they looked like and what they were up to now. When I finally did find out they weren't so interesting anymore.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | March 3, 2018 12:32 PM |
I’m not sure if this counts as being “obsessed”, but I do have “research” Instagram and Twitter accounts, with fake photos of course, where I follow likely-closeted, typically-twinky celebs. Many twinky Datalounge faves are in the mix. It gives me something interesting to do when bored or slowly waking up in the morning.
It also means that I can reply first on DL when these celebs like pictures or post content that might provide some insight into their debated sexuality.
I’ve carried on an extended conversation with only one of them, after (DM) replying humorously to his IG stories for months. He was pretty clearly alluding to meeting up. It was so exhilarating. I’m not even all that attracted to him. But th thought that his hot, closeted twink cock got hard to my fake pics was amazing. I’ve had a few others reply to me on Twitter which is kinda fun too 😊
