I had a brief conversation with Will right after he was signed for SNL and before he hit national recognition. It was at a reception for an out performer who was doing a show at the LAGLC Renberg Theater at The Village. He was either a Brigade, Acme or some such co-hort of the performer and showed up for support. Close up, he did not ping and the only remarkable thing about him was he was introverted, kinda skinny and not tall. Typical straight guy in Hollywood with gay friends in the business.

Heard from someone who has interacted with him on a few occasions that he is genuinely nice, sweet, and humble (but this person got no information on the question of his sexual orientation).

i know him slightly before he was famous. he didn't seem very gay to me, though i saw no evidence of a girlfriend, either. i would have pegged him as a gay-friendly straight guy.

Bumping this thread because I was wondering the same thing after his name came up in Amy Poehler's book. She mentioned him in passing in her book and was telling stories about how Forte and 2 other male writers would prank her by calling her into their office and be sitting at their desks completely naked.

And on 30 Rock, Will did look very pretty (and comfortable) in drag.

When I was at NBC, a co-worker who was a former page told me that a female page went down on him during a party. She told me that this girl was obsessed with him, but he never gave her the time of day apart from the casual hook-up. He later blew her off entirely for another girl in the page program who eventually worked for Focus Features and now produces some lifestyle web series. I'd say he's straight, and obnoxiously so.

Since hearing that story, I always recoil whenever I see Will Forte. He seems like a dickbag of the highest order for dipping in the intern pool like that. He probably pursued them because they were easy marks, he doesn't seem that cute or charming after all. His original Falconer character was super lame. At the time, NBC was owned by GE. Not as though it would have been enforced, but having sex with someone in your chain of command was a fireable offense.

I think Forte, Hader and Armisen are all gay (yes, I know the latter is a crazy “womanizer”, but so are a lot of closet cases believe it or not).

I'd love Forte to be. That wouldn't surprise me. He's smart too. I don't think Hader's gay, but I think he's capable of accessing that spirit. I think Armisen's straight as fuck. He's maybe bi at most, but his unhealthy relationship with women is common among straights of his ilk.

Forte's the most likely candidate in my eyes. I love Hader the most.
