So, what is everyone planning to do with his/her extra hour tonight?
(Excluding those people in places that don't observe DST, of course.)
I don't get an extra hour, we don't do DST where I live.
Lucky R1. I hate this bullshit.
An extra hour of sport fucking!
I save it for Sunday night when it's more appreciated.
What? We have to turn our clocks back tonight?
I had no idea.
I think it's a lot easier now than it used to be since so many devices (computers, phones, even alarm clocks and lamp timers) either adjust automatically or have switches that let you turn DST on or off.
The only devices I have to remember to change are my wristwatch and my range, microwave, and car clocks. It's worse when there's a power outage.
Holy Christ on a cracker, I had no clue that we changed the clocks tonight. Thanks OP. Shouldn't they advertise this shit or put up signs or something.
It helps that it shows up on my online calendar (like holidays, election day, etc.)
I plan to make it a 51 load weekend.
Watch tv and surf the internet.
IT HAS been advertised.
And I'm happy that most of my clocks adjust automatically. Ironically the only one that doesn't is the one I depend on to wake me up in the morning, an old analog alarm clock radio.
That and my microwave are the only two manual-adjustments I need to make.
Event he car's clock adjusts automatically. Cellphone, computers, DVR/CableBox, TV, etc. Don't even have to think about it really.
i have about a dozen lamp timers and none adjust automatically so that's what i'll be doing with my extra hour. :-(
It'll come in handy, I have to be somewhere tomorrow at 9am and I doubt I'll sleep much.
Enjoying a nice cherry-chocolate martini.
Vegas Carnival Court had round 2 of their annual Halloween celebration with a costume contest, free shots, live bands for dancing, and plenty of hot guys (especially if you're into military studs.) For the lezzies, there's always gay girls that really put on a show on the dance floor.
The reason I am posting at this time is because I stupidly re-set my clock thew wrong way. And i KNOW its "fall back"...
We started Season 1 of Dexter on Netflix tonight. Have never seen it before. I see what all the hoopla is about. Have only watched two episodes and I want to know who the killer is (who is playing with him). Spoilers okay, I didn't find the answer on wikip. My partner says that is cheating and undoes all the writers' work.
I binged watched Dexter about a month ago. It's interesting enough to keep you watching, but 8 long seasons are going to be trying. In the end, I was meh about it, but did save my season 3 and 4 downloads. Binge watching Breaking Bad was a lot more fun.
R20, who's the killer in the beginning, with the severed dolls?
Well if you want to know, it's Dexter's long-lost brother. Remember Dexter's adopted, I forget how the brothers got separated.
The clock said 7:00, my body knew it was 8:00 so I got up. No extra hour.
I am washing clothes, drinking coffee and will then pack for a work trip. My pretty twink boyfriend is asleep still. He usually doesn't wake until after noon on weekends.

Sex lasted for an hour and 3 minutes last night.
I appreciated the extra sleep.
And I got about 7 minutes of sex this morning. Hooray. Sometimes an hour just sounds like labor.
Seven minutes, R28? You need to find someone else.
My car's clock adjusts automatically when I cross a time zone, but it can't handle the daylight savings time change. How stupid is that?
The time zone adjustment is amazing. There's a casino motel in Baker, Nevada where the rooms are in Utah and the casino is in Nevada. You can drive through the parking lot and see the time change.
R30 - That's pretty cool. How does it do that? With the GPS? The radio?

It uses the GPS navigation system. It's a Ford Fusion.
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
