I'm gonna start the prayer circle for Katy's live performance. We believe in you girl! You can DO it!
Maybe they'll have a few Obama-bashing skits for Bruce's benefit.
I'm curious about the new cast members but I missed the season opener with Tina Fey.
Miley Cyrus and Bruce Willis? Katy Perry? Zero interest in any of them.
Is there a list of upcoming hosts somewhere? What am I saying, they'll be repeating shows in another week or so -- I'll wait for the Fey rerun.
Los gatos beben leche
Bruce is a good sport.
Both the GRAVITY opening and that military sketch were the type of zero-laughs sketches I would expect to see at 12:50, not opening the show.
Is Aaron Carter in the audience?
Did Aaron Carter arrive at the studio with Bruce?
What is Aaron Carter wearing to the taping of SNL?
Are Aaron Carter and Bruce Willis getting married in California?
Howard Stern said this back in 1993 about this show's unfunny nature back then: "I heard the sound of tv's being thrown out of the window [in frustration]".
I did not know that Bruce had a baby at his age?
He is too old to have a baby.
Baseball over this shit anyday.
BOY DANCE PARTY!!
Shake that sack!
Talk show! Next up: game show!
Then a commercial parody!
My 10 yr old niece knows Katy Perry is cheesy and awful. Who are her fans??
Katy is such a strong singer! I did not know she could sing live.
Katy's guitar player wasn't cording correctly to ROAR.
Very bad Gaga impersonation. It seems to be a recurring SNL skit -- let's do a talk show parody! If you're going to do one with a celebrity, at least make the impersonation spot-on (with exaggerating the obvious). It's what made the Prince Talk Show skits work.
I fucking hate that this has become The Kenan Thompson Show.
Ten more minutes and it's The Walking Dead marathon for me.
Willis looks like he escaped from a nursing home and wandered onto the set and they just let him stay because, you know, old people are funny.
Boy Dance Party was actually fun to watch. Taran Killam really slimmed down and looks good. He's married to Cobie Smulders. That relationship was off the radar. Olivia Munn and Jason Sudeikis should take a lesson.
R23 - Olivia Wilde, not Munn.
Beck Bennett always looks like he's asleep with his eyes open.
I tend to get my Olivia's crossed, r24. I like Munn. Can't stand Wilde.
No, r28, but Beck Bennett sure has a lotta junk in his trunk.

y los gatos no les gusta las colillas también ... Dios mío!
"Very bad Gaga impersonation. It seems to be a recurring SNL skit -- let's do a talk show parody!"
I hated every second of that sketch - that one-note cast member who performed it with the same voice and cadence she gives the Bah Mitzvah Boy character.
Bruce looks old. And he clearly has no idea who Michael Kors is. That skit could have been so much funnier.
Katy Perry is SO tragically over.
I think Taram Killian is talented. But he's become the leading man by default.
The new people may have potential. But there's a real lack of professionalism.
I thought the same thing, r32. She sounded exactly like the Bah Mitzvah Boy on Weekend Update. Isn't it telling that he only showed a picture of little Mabel but not the "beautiful daughters" he had with Demi? Was he afraid the audience would laugh at the photo, thinking it must be a joke?
Who was the one that was half-naked in the Electronic Meth bit? Even though it was blurred, his ass looked mighty fine.
R36 it was Brooks who is the guy who showed off his bad tattoos during Weekend Update
I absolutely loathe Katy's "Roar." Her second song, "Walking on Air" is amazing though. It sounds like a 1980s gay anthem. The choreography was really cool too. Katy is awesome.
Katy can sing!
"Dark Horse" is the 2nd single from Katy's new album that underperformed. Will "Walk on Air" be the hit she needs? Hmmm...
Is one of the cast members the same guy that interviews kids on that tv commercial even though I don't know what it's for.
R33 - Bruce is old.
One of the dullest SNL's ever.
Yes, r41. Beck Bennett.
Kate Perry will have another hit song, don't know what it's called but it's very catchy even for a live performance.
Bruce had a decent body for a 58 year old.
Katy Perry had her backup singers and musicians in stuffed animal costumes. It looked very derivative of Miley Cyrus and her bear costumes. Awful copying awful. At least whatever arcade fire was doing the first week was weird and original.
R43 - you are so correct. It is like they were exhausted from performing 3 new shows in a row, yet this is only October!
Key and Peele on Comedy Central and Portlandia are far superior sketch comedy shows to SNL at this point.
Who was the cast member with a large cock bouncing up and down in his shorts during the the Boy Dance Party sketch? One of the new, cast, ahem, members?
The cock looked so big it might have been fake. I surely can't be the only viewer who noticed this?
R50, the lyrics of the Boys Dance Party bit included lines about shaking sac(k)s. The cast clearly stuffed their shorts for a comedic visual to accompany the lyrics.
It was a joke, r50
[quote]I think Taram Killian is talented.
Of course, he was on MadTV during the funny years.
[quote]Key and Peele on Comedy Central and Portlandia are far superior sketch comedy shows to SNL at this point.
Key and Peele were also on MadTV.
Taran was only on Mad TV for one season, and only appeared in a few episodes.
He does look like he's toned up some. He clearly decided if he's going to be "the cute one" he'd better have a decent body.
Did anyone notice the FINE treasure trail on Brook during the weekend update (showing the side tattoo)? Looked mighty fine!!!
On the plus side, it seemed like the sketches didn't go on forever last night like they normally do. Maybe that's why they had to repeat that "Electronic Meth" ad from week 1 at the end of the show.
SNL sucks out loud. That's the only thing about that show that is consistent.
