Anyone on DL ever made it through one of his books? Which ones are worth the trouble?
Not for femmes. Boy stuff.
I enjoy a couple of his books. Not proud of it.
Thought Mason & Dixon garbaggio, despite that hoity-toity cricket, gosh, whatshisname, from Yale or somesuch.
Why not proud r1?
I'm interested in him too OP but also don't want to waste my time struggling to figure out something that isn't worth it.
Mebbe, R2, any struggle with language is worth doing.
I see TP's written a detective novel (haven't read it) about to be made into a movie...all the "hip" actors. Try perhaps to read that for diversion's sake. Even Bukowski wrote a detective novel at the end.
Plenty of writers of great worth around. Boy stuff, girl stuff, masses of pulp, and the occasional pure echo.
I agree in theory r3 but then I also have a job. Thx for the suggestion.
