Slays everyone half her age with their boring outfits on the red carpet. And it isn't even the awards show yet!
Seventy three years old, and she could easily pass for forty five.
Take note kids. This is how you do it. And this is why the red carpet has been sucking for years.
Someone please give her another big role. Miss Welch is sorely missed from the big and small screen.
She's beautiful. Her figure bellies her age and she picked a good plastic surgeon. She also has a healthy look about her.
I'm moving her to the top of my (jokey) MILF list and placing Jessica Lange in second place.
Geez, she is gorgeous.
Rocky rocks! And she always has.
But she dissed Mae! Sob!!!
My grandma wears that outfit when she's over at the bowling alley looking for a pick-up.
Of course Grammy is taller than four foot, which Miss Welch is. So she can wear sneakers, much more sensible for someone their age.
Boycott Welch till she apologizes to West.
She needs better wigs.
I just realized: I think Henry Cavill is the male Raquel Welch (acting/looks-wise).
Raquel Welch is black!!!!
She's attractive but has a horrible reputation that has cost her a lot of work.
At least she looks natural.
Lord, did anyone else scroll down and see Gina Gershon as Donatella?
If you took a Raquel, please put it back. No questions asked.
If Raquel is throwing shade at Mae, it's understandable because Mae was kinda shady to her. While [italic]Myra Breckinridge[/italic] was being made, Mae got to approve what the other actresses wore, and she said no to Raquel wearing a gorgeous black gown in one of their scenes together (only Mae got to wear "non-colors"). Raquel refused to come back to work until she got to wear the gown, and in return Mae refused to film with her -- Raquel had to do the scene alone and react to someone reading Mae's lines off-camera.
Yes, she still looks good.
But I would love to have seen her without the layers and layers of make-up, the wig, the facelift, the botox ... with her having the confidence to be seen without all the assistance.
THAT would be beautiful.
R18 I don't think that will ever happen!
The wig and the pantyhose are just pathetic. She's ready for theater in the round, Omaha, circa 1979.
Just fucking hideous.
I've seen her in person. Looks just as stunning up close and real. Make-up covered up some finer lines around eyes and mouth, but otherwise those pics are representative of what she looked like. Here she is at her book signing about a year ago. This is UNRETOUCHED photo. She really is amazing.
She still has that hourglass figure. What happened to her daughter Tawnee?
She looks good, I have to say. Usually that uber well preserved look comes off like I've read about Joan Collins (i.e., great from 2 feet away but any closer - yikes). She looks artificial but also good, not freakish.
Holy crap R23, she has a daughter? Lord. I bet her daughter is pretty.
Raquel takes care of herself and is simply gorgeous. Even most of the other women in hollywood around her age who try don't look this good. 1 of the most beautiful celebs ever. Joan Collins looks good but Raquel has her beat.
R21, in your picture you can also see how good her hands look
R25 - Her daughter was in Cocoon and a few other movies back in the 80s and 90s. She was pretty, though she wasn't quite as stunning as her mother.
She looks good, obviously has a good surgeon, but what the fuck is going on with the surgical-strength pantyhose with the toes cut out? Truly awful. If you need pantyhose to cover up thread veins or whatever, wear something attractive and with shoes that cover the toes.
Even her neck looks good. That's usually the first age giveaway along w/the hands.
Yes, she needs to change the hose and wig but she is FAR from hideous. I'll take that look with I'm 72.
R28, why would you not link to a picture of the daughter?
Lord, did anyone else scroll down and see Gina Gershon as Donatella?
Yes! I was much more taken with that photo than those of Raquel. Gina looks amazing as Donatella!
Back where? and from where? Her grave? Admirable!
The Mad Men 'beauties' ALL have hideous, fang-like teeth.
R35 - wrong thread?
R36, the initial link includes a photo of Elisabeth Moss.
Rock on Raquel!
Her figure bellies her age
Madonna wants those hands!
When I saw her, I didn't really look at her hands. That's something girls notice (I'm a guy) so I didn't think of it. I primarily was commenting on her face, which was fantastic. As far as her body goes, yes, she was a little fat, but with her large boobs it seemed to proportion out okay. Also, her voice was a bit raspy here and there, maybe showing her age, but not deep-smoke raspy like Lucy.
plastic doesn't age.
Yes, she's hot.
Elizabeth Moss should have worn pantyhose and better shoes.
She still has that hourglass figure.
What the hell's so great about an hourglass figure?
She looks good for her age but the dress is from the 70's.
Why does everyone link to the Daily Fail? You mean to tell me NO other site has pics?
We had a plastic surgery thread a while back, and lots of people agreed that Raquel's surgeon(s) is/are the best in the biz.
Plastic or not, she's gorgeous and doesn't look cut up like, say, Meg Ryan, or lots of other gals that are 20+ years her junior.
Raquel Welch is black!!!!
She's Mexican. I read her book which was supposed to be an autobiography but was really a beauty book. She swears by little patches that glue to the side of your face attached to rubber bands that are pulled to the back of the head and pulls the face taunt and hidden under the wig. She even gave the name brand.
What happened to her daughter Tawnee?
Tahnee Welch will be at CHILLER the East Coast's biggest autograph show next month. I'll tell her you said hello.
Does a red carpet appearance count as being back? Is she working?
I thought they were supposed to be cougars?
lord the link at r54 is sad. It is like every WHET all in one place. And why the hell is Katey Segal there? She has a job, no?
At first I thought, oh dear, Sean Hayes has really aged and gotten some bad plastic surgery....then realized it was Jon Cryer.
I saw a photo of her a while back and she looked her age. That is some damned good plastic work. I bet her surgeon is fielding calls from every has-been actress who's still got a nip-n-tuck savings account.
She puts scotch tape on her face to hold up the sags during "events". She demonstrated it on The View!!!
I can see her lace front even in that small picture, and I'm sure she's wearing Spanx for days.
I'm still fascinated as to why she was invited to present one of the top categories at the Oscars.
Top sex symbol of the time this or not, this would never happen today. But the less fake, realer reactions and bitchiness would also never happen today which makes these old clips the best.
She even manages to get a crack in there (referencing Brando presumably) causing Queen Liza to roll her eyes. Who did this bimbo think she was?!
R53, Raquel is not Mexican. Her dad was Bolivian, while her mom was Anglo-American.
Why does nobody ever mention that Raquel is freaking obese? She's built like a fire plug!
R65 - She has meat on her bones, but she's not obese.
As a dedicated and completely addicted gossip hound, I can assure you that no other site has the amount of celebrity pix as the Daily Mail. I scroll down the right side of the page and see more pap pix at one time than anywhere else online. It's also 6 hours ahead of me (I'm in NY) so the gossip is newer.
I wish there was a way to cover up the right side of the page r67. It is designed to be very addictive.
I only go there with linked to stories or when I google something and there's always that same right side of the page with a ginormous amount of mind boggling tedious stories on "Z list celeb buys tin of spam at supermarket or conveniently looks hot in a bikini cause she called the paps for photo op". I don't want to look at any of that shit yet somehow The Daily Mail finds a way to make you want to.
never even nominated
who is the hotty sitting with Cisely Tyson?
Well, I suppose it's an impressive feat, but it's kind of ridiculous. Nobody is supposed to look like that at 73. It's all wrong.
Also, if you hadn't told me who that was, I would never have recognised her. Ever. Where is the benefit in no longer looking anything like yourself?
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
