I always thought that perhaps people were crediting the wrong woman as Anna, but no, this is really her.
Here she is now.

She does all these graphic sex scenes now, and a whole load of French movies.

Who?

Why do these women always end up looking like The Catwoman? It's as if plastic surgery reaches a breaking point >>> then you get the down's syndrome effect.

Anna Thomson

She looks like shit.

I have no clue who this is. I very much regret clicking that picture.

I loved her old look, i used to be in love with her when i was a teenager.

She's had a few different faces over the years. When she first started acting in the mid 70s, she had a more semitic look. She started getting more acting work after getting a nose job in the first half of the 80s.
It's a shame she had all the work done that makes her almost unrecognizable, but the business is tough for aging actresses. I'd like to see her more movies and tv shows because she's a good actress. She can do comedy and drama roles almost equally as well. I suppose her acting career is over now but at least she went out getting good reviews for her work in the Amos Kollek films she did.

The first pic looks like a morph of several famous faces.

With M, Swoozie and Jill Eickenberry in Wendy Wasserstein ‘s ‘Uncommon Women & Ogres’.

Oh yes r16. I did that TV version as a favor to Wasserstein. All the original off Broadway cast appeared except I took over for G. (I wonder what the story was behind that?)

Yeah, that's her with her original face @ R16 and R17. She mainly worked in theatre then.
I think after her makeover, she got typecast in sexpot roles. Her voice and big breasts probably never helped in that regard either. Someone on the IMDb called her "a damaged goods Marilyn Monroe" and I think that's a pretty good description although Levine/Thomson is a more talented actress than Monroe was.
I always wondered why she got dropped from The Tracey Ullman Show after one season. I think she held up well in that very talented cast, although she wasn't used consistently during her short stint there.

She had a skit on the now forgotten HBO show Hardcore TV called "Cindy's Sex Talk". In this clip, the subject is cosmetic surgery. The "Oh, you made it look just like Justine Bateman!" part made me laugh.

One of her skits on The Tracey Ullman show.

Anna Thomson is an orphan and does not know where she was born. She was found on a street in New York when she was still a baby. She was adopted by rich people who raise her as an only daughter. Little girl, she is very lonely and does not get along with other children, she has no friend.
His father works a lot in Europe which allows him to spend six months a year in France for ten years. He is a theater lover, taking him to see plays in New York and London. He would like her to become a painter and send her to an art school. In France, she will be received at Beaux Arts when she is only 17 years old. She does not find her vocation and occupies various jobs: colorist, seamstress for a costume designer ...
She says she never really wanted to become an actress, but that's the way she's going. Sent to make a delivery in a theater by the costumer who uses it, she has the chance to meet Christopher Walken who offers him a role in a play called Kid Champion and who will become his "godfather" of cinema. She is then only twenty years old. She also frequents many Mickey Rourke in the 80s and considers him a brother. She gets her first role on screen in The Gate of Paradise (1980) by Michael Cimino where she plays a prostitute. On the set, she sympathizes with Isabelle Huppert.
She will then follow Susan Seidelman's Susan Susan desperately (1985), where she plays Madonna's best friend, Bird (1988), and the magnificent apocalyptic western of Clint Eastwood, Impitoyable (1992). She plays a young prostitute attacked and mutilated, that Clint Eastwood has the mission to avenge.
But it is really in 1997 thanks to her meeting with Amos Kollek that she is revealed and (re) discovered by the public. This meeting takes place during a casting for a film that will never see the day. Amos Kollek very quickly notices this beautiful woman whose face is both sublime and strange. Attracted by "something in his face and in his personality", he proposes to him to play the role of Sue, a secretary who loses his job and goes adrift, in Sue lost in Manhattan (1997). This is an extraordinary critical success that will earn Anna Thomson the admiration of all moviegoers. It is also the beginning of a long fruitful collaboration since they will shoot together Fiona in 1999, where she plays a prostitute drug addict, and recently fast food, fast women presented at the Cannes 2000 festival. Speaking of her, Amos Kollek says:
"Anna is the only actress I know who agrees to try all kinds of things without conditions." This year, it was also admired in the film of François Ozon, Drops of water on burning stone where she plays the role of a man became a woman.
Today, Anna Thomson is a widow (her husband died due to cancer) and lives between Lavandou (Var) and New York with her two twin sons.

She did porn on French film. She has fallen off the face of the Earth now. She seems like a very damaged soul. She was a child actor in France.

Her adoptive parents were Herbert and Beth Levine, who were big in the shoe business for some time. She seems/seemed to have issues over the adoption thing.
I think the family must've lost most of their money at some point because Bruce Weber paid for her mothers nursing care the last few years of her life and then tried suing Anna for the money back. Don't know how the lawsuit turned out.
Her husband (also was an actor, last name Thomson) died of cancer not long after their twin sons were born. I think she remarried at some point because she was referred to as Anna Levine-Wilson in her mothers obituary. I wonder what she's up to today, since it looks like she retired from acting. Her sons should be around 25 years old now.

She's fairly well-known is France. Here's an article the French version of Premiere magazine did on her a few years ago.
Not sure why she didn't try and capitalize on her fame there and try and get work over there. She fluent in French. Maybe the excessive plastic surgery like she had done in OP photo is too much for the French also.

I don't think r17 is her original face.
I'm not surprised to read that she was adopted by a Jewish couple. She doesn't look Jewish. It wouldn't surprise me if she's Irish(-American) by birth.

It's strange how she kept getting cast as prostitutes. She didn't really have the look of one prior to the blow up doll procedures.
