Do people get thinner-skinned (literally) in middle-age?

Figuratively, it's grown thicker thanks in part to Datalounge. But I've noticed in the last six months or so that I can feel some veins in my upper arms and on my thighs through the skin. If I look closely, it's visible. This has never been the case before. The veins in my inner elbow and wrist have always stuck out a bit, but never elsewhere. It's freaking me out a bit. I'm 49 and probably in the best shape of my life. I've lost a lot of weight in the last year and a half through sensible eating and a LOT of walking. One thing that is different is that I have much more muscle definition in my arms and legs than I ever had in my life. Has anyone else experienced this? I thought this wasn't supposed to happen to people until they're elderly.

"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"

We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
