Here we are at the end of August and we haven't had one Atlantic hurricane yet this year. This makes it the latest start to the hurricane season ever.
I thought that the oceans were warming and the additional warmth was going to spawn more hurricanes.
And yet Floridians are being blown away in record numbers.
Thank goodness. We deserve a fucking break.
From what I've heard there is a huge swath of hot, DRY air in the ocean right now. So the tropical waves coming off of Africa are hitting that dry air and falling apart. It's happened to at least three of them. Yee Haw.
Hopefully we'll make it right through next week and September and have a quiet year.
