Home Invasion Slasher Flick "You're Next"

Critics are raving about "You're Next," praising the twisty plot (yes, the killers' motivation is novel, though I suspected as much), the engaging and resourceful final girl (yes, she's one of the best in years), the creative kills (yep, the bit with blender is quite original) and the black comedy...wait, what? It was supposed to be funny? Strange. I saw it with a half-packed house and we didn't laugh once. There were jokes there? Also, it wasn't really very scary. Tense and suspenseful, yes, very much. But I was never scared.
