yeah, I saw that on the news, very strange reactions from a girl who just lost her mom and brother. In one of the instagram, she pained her fingernail in two different colors, she said one is for her mom and one for the little brother. I don't know but it's just very weird, it reminds me of Casey Anthony - "I got a new tattoo and it's for Caylee!"
she's a dumb kid who grew up with social media and is probably still in a state of shock, wanting to act as if life is still normal - doesn't seem that weird to me.
This reminds me of the old story you hear, where a young girl falls in love with a much older man, Mom finds out & forbids the girl to continue to see him, girl gets much older boyfriend to kill the mom, so she can be with him, meanwhile she tells all her friends, he is creepy & it grosses her out that he said he likes her in that particular way, all the while to throw them off track
I'm wondering if the kidnapper convinced her that he was really in love with her and would always take care of her, knowing that otherwise she would physically fight or scream. Maybe he had tried to buy her affection, as he was invited into the family and acted like an uncle.
Perhaps the reality that her Mom and little brother are permanently gone hasn't really sunk in just yet. Teens deal with horror in very different ways.
I think R3 might be right. Either way, something doesn't add up.
R2 maybe, but I blame it on her parents, especially her dad, from the news, her dad strikes me as a very weak person who lacks the authority, I won't be surprised if no one in the family listens to him, they may have more respect for "the uncle" than him. And what's the role of "the uncle"? her dad move to Tennessee a couple of months earlier for a new job? (somewhere on the internet it was mentioned her parents were separated).
The other thing is, Hanna Anderson exchanged 13 calls/texts with DiMaggio on the afternoon "she was kidnapped". What were they talking all the time? Too many unanswered questions.
DiMaggio's father also kidnapped a 16 year old girl and held her hostage - one of his classmates at the time. So I'm not inclined to believe that another 16 year old girl just coincidentally talked DiMaggio Jr. into killing her family, and that he just happened to have been apprehended & killed by cops on the anniversary of his father's suicide.
She was underage, he was an ugly 40 year old with a family history of creeping on young girls and mental illness. Seems pretty clear cut to me.
It's hard for me to believe that a pretty 16 year old girl, in 2013, would be attracted to that guy. He looks like the Brawny paper towel man, dated physically and probably mentally as well. He _is_ creepy and gross.
That said, her behavior is a little hard to comprehend. The dad's behavior doesn't quite ring true, either.
She's a 16 yo girl, im more inclined to believe she doesn't know how to act in this situation considering what she's been through. A 16 year old will make stupid desicions.
R8, no she doesn't look 16 to me, she looks way maturer than that, and some people were questioning her old photos, sort of provocative and not age appropriate, but it does fit the picture, the pedophiles "groom" the victims and DiMaggio is an uncle figure, she may have a close relationship with him from a very young age. He feeds her the attention and that works for her, so it won't be totally out of the question she is attracted to him somehow.
16 is not that young. while she might be a minor it does not sound like she is a child.
My neighbor shot herself in the face in the woods behind her house when I was 13. She had a son and a daughter (she was my age), and lived with a schlubby guy who was not their father. It was a huge shock, of course, and they didn't find her body for a day or two even though my grandmother did hear crying in the woods that afternoon. The son and the daughter went to live with their father.
A few months later, the daughter comes back to live with the step-father and basically gets whatever she wants. Parties, new jeep, etc. After a kid nearly died of alcohol poisoning, they moved away. I found her on Facebook recently and she's married to the guy and they have three kids! We thought her reaction was weird after her mother died, and she probably knows far more than she's ever said. These things DO happen.
There are many very families where the barriers between appropriate and inappropriate behavior are frequently crossed. Why did DiMaggio take Hannah on repeated short-term trips?
something seems off
I don't disagree with you, R@. The timeline of the murders and hannah's explanation of where she was during the fire seems a little off.
For a lot of young kids these days who have literally grown up posting everything on social media, there is a draw and a comfort in falling back into sharing their lives completely in a way that every older generation will not understand.
This case is famous, so her postings were, but I have seen victims who don't make the news extensively do the same thing this girl did.
Neither they or she had anything to do with the crime.
When I have gone through traumas in the past, I found it easier to expound about those traumas to strangers and friends on the Internet, than I did to my real friends and family. Most of my family dont know I was molested by a priest, but plenty of Internet strangers and Internet friends do.
It could have been the same for her, she needed to speak to someone and did it the only way she knew how.
Also, do not forget the surreality of the situation. 2 weeks ago, this girl was with her mother and brother, now they are dead and she went through a horrific trauma and was likely raped. She is likely still in shock and it doesn't seem real to her. I don't think the true reality has sunk in yet.
Hannah' best friend told Nancy Grace that "uncle Jim" lavished gifts on Hannah. He said that he bought her anything she wanted.
All. About. Money.
Good post, R16.
you can find a lot of information on DiMaggio and Hannah on this link, and much of the information are from Hannah herself. Read it through and be prepared for the surprise!
damn, the link cannot be posted here. Anyway, just copy and paste the following in the google search
the first link on newsball site.
You're all forgetting that if she was involved in the murders of her mother and brother, that means she had feelings for the creepy uncle. So, even if she isn't mourning the mom and brother, wouldn't she at least be upset that the creep is dead? She appears to not be affected by ANY of it. Not the murder of her family or the supposed kidnapper or the ordeal she went through for a week.. Very odd.
The FBI needs to question her further. If they can't break a dumb 16 y/o girl to get at the facts, then they truly are pathetic.
What sleazy dreck, R20. So she liked black boys, wore booty shorts and *gasp* wasn't a virgin. From that we can assume she helped kill her family and ran off with a 40 y/o creep? LOL.
I particularly love the part where that fucktard "author" says rape isn't so bad if you're not a virgin.
Get back in your time machine and set the dial to 1950, R20.
R13 yes, the news said her dad moved away months earlier but "Uncle DiMaggio" was taking Hannah to trips for years, and DiMaggio also drove Hannah to gymnastics meets and her brother to football practice. Where was her dad? There definite a lot things not told yet.
[R22] you don't have to read the comments from "the author" or others, take what's important and leave the rest, from Hannah's online posts, the girl has no boundaries, talking about her sex life nonchalantly and giving her cell phone # to strangers.
R24 doesn't know any modern day teenagers.
R25 your mean the teens from trash families, probably not
You are living in a very naive bubble R26.
Hannah's behaviour is very typical of teens her age. Giving out her cell number, talking about her sex life, having fewer boundaries. None of these things are atypical of teenagers today.
I'm 27, and when I went to high school 10 years ago, all those things were typical too, save for the fact that every kid didn't own a cell phone. We did everything online though, and with few boundaries.
We didn't come from trashy families either.
It's a mark of the culture, not of class.
Also, I see that you posted a response unthread in which you remarked that Hannah seemed more mature than her age and dressed provocatively. I just have to say that being mature and dressing mature are 2 different things.
Many teenagers dress and pose for pictures that way (another indicator that you are out-of-touch on what it is to be a teenager nowadays). Does not mean they are mature. Some are quite immature, even of they dress and look like an adult.
Something is definitely not right here.
She's enjoying all this post-release attention way too much.
I'm half expecting her to be one of the next cast members of Dancing With The Stars.
I doubt if she was ever in any real danger.
What's up with the DNA test and DNA evidence in the dead mother's burned vehicle?
She was in on it....
"That girl's not right."
There are no rules about how someone should behave after they were kidnapped and their family murdered. So far she seems like someone in shock, just doing everyday things whether they're appropriate or not - almost like a 16 year old would in fact.
R20's link into the depths of misogyny is far more disturbing to me - " she was far from a virgin" - so it's OK to murder her family then? Fuck that.
Greta Garbo & Monroe...
Hannah & DiMaggio.
I thought her grandmothers reaction was very strange - her comment indicated the deaths were insignificant - it was strange, something is wrong with the whole thing.
The family allowed this guy to take Hannah on a week long trip to Disney world. This story was strange from the get go.
That she brought her cat with her is weird ... was the cat abducted too?
I think she was in on it...helped plan to kill mom (maybe not brother, but he got in the way).
This is going to come out soon.
According to today's news:
A handwritten note, handcuff box, camping equipment and a DNA swab kit were among the items found by San Diego deputies in the burned home and garage of James DiMaggio...Other items found on the nine-page list of things seized from the home and the adjacent garage include incendiary devices, a gas can, rolls of duct tape, used condoms, ammunition, an arson wire and letters from Hannah.
USED CONDOMS? Letters from Hannah?
Good grief, there seem to be a lot of Humbert Humbert sympathizers on this board. Glossing over all the ammo, handcuffs, incendiary devices and whatnot and zeroing in on the condoms? The guy was an ephebophile freak and a kidnapper, so was his father. Look up grooming if you don't get it.
Sometimes law enforcement lies low, hoping that more revealing info will come to light. Don't know if the Mom was just naive or initially seduced by the amount of help the older man offered. Wonder if the Mom suddenly tried to put the brakes on DiMaggio's generosity towards Hannah. How sad too for the little boy, tied up and hurt by the man who had just given him rides.
By any chance, was Hannah pregnant by DiMaggio? They found a DNA test kit in his possessions. Also why wasn't the bio-Dad openly hysterical because he just lost his young son?
What man keeps used condoms in his house?
On her chat logs she discusses dancing on a pole, getting gang banged by Black men, and being promiscuous. Gets extremely defensive when called out on it, saying "it's her right."
Did DiMaggio have some very sick fantasies, was encouraging Hannah's participation, and then her Mom found out and threatened to go to the police?
Why isn't Hannah wearing all black, mourning the deaths of her younger brother and Mom? Booty shorts and a low-cut top to a community fundraiser for funeral expenses?
R41 What I saw of the chat room stuff was people calling her names and using very abusive language and her being sarcastic and talking smart in return, that doesn't make a "discussion". The chat room stuff is actually quite nasty towards her and she's defending herself.
This was a straightforward crime story for me until I saw the NBC news last night with the report of Hannah's welcome home party in SD. I was struck by her outfit which was very low cut especially in contrast to others her age around her who were dressed more conservatively. Something just seemed odd to me about that and I had one of those aha moments when what seemed like truth now seemed more complicated. The fact that the mother and the little brother were tortured as was reported seems more like a revenge crime than a simple case of murder. If he just wanted to kidnap her why did he torture the other two? I didn't know much of what I read on this thread but it makes it even more sketchy.
Trying to not take a side in this, cause there's a lot we don't know but it's hard to see her behavior as totaly normal, but then again, at that age is there really a normal way to act after something like this happens? Have that many teens gone thru this so that there is a normal behavior?
Gotta say the DNA test is weird. Any idea why she would have had that?
Also, just a thought on the used condoms that were found, they could have been found in the trash?
Is there a possibility DiMaggio is her father?
He was around from before she was born and friends with her parents then.
Also in the lastFM chat Hannah clarified that when he made the weird crush comment that he told her he meant it in a family way, like he had to take care of her.
It would explain whatever DNA test they found at his place. Maybe he did a test because he suspected, and when it turned out true decided to take off with her.
Do you all remember that case last year where that family friend who was an uncle like figure was convinced that the two younger girls in the family where his, so he killed the mother and older sister and took off with the two girls because the family was moving many states away.
They found them behind a church after the manhunt. Don't remember if the police killed him or he killed himself, but the girls survived.
Maybe it's the same thing here.
It's also possible that he abused or had sexual feelings towards her before realizing she was his daughter.
I think she is not telling the entire story.
Something is clearly NOT right about this whole story.
Hannah's family seems fucked-up to the limit, and I wouldn't be shocked to hear that she's gonna make porn movies, when she turns 18.
She does seem a bit too okay after this traumatic experience.
Something seems off.
You'd think she would be traumatized or catatonic after an event like this.
I didn't have any suspicions until I saw the photo of her in the news this morning, smiling like she'd won the lottery.
Something is really not right.
Was Hannah an unwilling hostage or an active participant?
I have friends with daughters that age and even given the wacky behavior of teen girls, they would be absolutely destroyed if their mother and little brother had been tortured and murdered.
Who knew there were so many psychotherapists on DL? How can you tell she's not traumatized...because she wore a low-cut shirt and went on social media? I guess she should be wearing a black veil and wailing away in her bedroom with the shades drawn?
The day I found out my father had died, I watched a stupid movie and went to work that night like I normally did. I didn't know what else to do with myself. I hadn't accepted it, the shock hadn't worn off, so I didn't cry for a few days. What is the DL-approved grief response? Everyone reacts differently.
R53 your behavior is not that unusual.
The DNA swab test was found in Christina Anderson's burned out car not the burned out house per NBC.
maybe she was in on the plan
maybe they were dating and the mom disapproved
too bad that the little kid died
Yes but look at her entire family. Neither her dad nor her grandmother are very emotional. In fact many people called her father callous in his public response to the death of his son, which they found lacking in emotion.
I think they are a very unemotional family, even to an extreme.
Someone can display very little empathy and be self-involved and narcissistic, as people have accused Hannah of being, but that doesn't mean she is guilty.
I think people are uncomfortable when people don't act like we expect then to act. And people were responding this way to her before the letters info came out. People were suspicious of her because she wasn't emotional.
It wouldn't be a surprise to find that the DNA on the outside of the condoms is Hannah Anderson and the DNA inside the condoms matches her "uncle."
Even if that were the case R59, which it may be given that they're being dodgy about the sex assault question, doesn't mean it was consensual.
He could have raped her and used a condom so as not to get her pregnant.
It couldn't have been consensual at all because the girl just turned 16. Age of consent is 18 in California.
Bad enough a kid and his mother were killed but also tortured? Wonder why police think that...
You are correct R61, I misspoke
When I saw the father talk on the news, it seemed like something was very fishy about the whole situation. He didn't seem very upset. Or upset at all really.
I looked at the pics and skimmed over the newest developments and while R58 makes some great points about the families lack of emotion in general I still feel like something is off about this young girl and it has nothing to do with how she dresses.
I think that she bears some culpability for what happened, I cannot really put my finger on the reason yet but she was in on it to some degree.
She seems to be reveling in the attention and her answers to investigators have been to vague, she's hiding something.
Was she just sitting there watching while her mother and brother were being tortured?
I'm going to give this girl some time to process this before making any judgements. Being in shock can screw you up.
Years ago a couple of guys from my highschool skipped class one hot day and went down to the local creek. They took a boat out and took turns jumping in and out of the water. At one point one of the guys doesn't surface, his friend jumps in to see what was going on and sees the other in full panic mode at the bottom of the creek with a foot tangled in one of the weeds. He swims down to help him but the guy is stuck and he drowns.
The very next week the friend is back at school and for 3 straight months behaves like nothing happened. Nothing. He is the talk of the school. "What the fuck is wrong with him?" we would ask one another. And then one day he doesn't show up to school, in fact he never shows up again. According to his mother, who knew my mom, he had been waking up screaming for months. His dad on several occasions found him in the sleep walking through the house trying to "save" his friend from drowning, but during the day he would behave like he was fine even in in front of his family. And then one day while on the way to the store with his mom he sees the dead kids younger brother in the distance and begins to shake uncontrollably, jumps out of the car at the lights, runs the 10 blocks home and has a full on meltdown, destroyed his bedroom while screaming " it's my fault, it's my fault".
A few months after that his family sell their house and the whole family moves away. He contacts no one from our town ever again. Ever. Not his best friend, not his girlfriend, no one. However we heard he was screwed up for years. Didn't finish highschool, didn't go to college, a total hot mess.
So I'm going to reserve my judgement on this girl because who knows what happened and a low cut dress and a lack of wholesome behaviour means exactly nothing.
[quote]There are many very families where the barriers between appropriate and inappropriate behavior are frequently crossed. Why did DiMaggio take Hannah on repeated short-term trips?
What were the parents thinking? When I heard about the trip to Hollywood (that was initially planned for an entire week, but ended after a few days), I got a chill. I know he'd known he children since their births and was "Uncle Jim," but allowing a teenage daughter to be squired around unsupervised by a much older unrelated man and being allowed "overnights" is almost a taboo. Wouldn't most teenage girls find it creepy? And all of the gift-giving should have raised flags. I'm sure he wasn't as generous with the young boy.
It's classic child grooming, but the creepier element is that it was done by a longtime friend of the family, not a Jerry Sandusky type who swoops in and takes the most vulnerable pickings. Boy, the parents really sent very, very wrong messages to that girl.
[quote]She seems to be reveling in the attention and her answers to investigators have been to vague, she's hiding something.
Of course she's reveling in the attention. Many 16 year olds would, but she's a kid whose family allowed a predator to be around their daughter from the time she was very young. Coming from that background, of course she will be lacking in many areas we consider normal.
We don't know the answers she gave investigators. She's a minor, and most or all of the things she tells them will have to remain confidential.
I wish the media would quit displaying victims to satisfy some sick need on the part of the public to watch the suffering of others. We have no right to decide how anyone should act, or whether they're displaying the emotions we have deemed to be proper.
R68, Who in the family knew about Hannah's bragging about her sexual exploits on social media? I've seen many behave strangely because there were very conflicting sexual messages in their home life.
R69, Media responds to public's demand to know. There are thousands of comments on the internet from armchair analysts. Now, when is DL casting the inevitable Lifetime movie?
Wow, R67. That story is devastating.
Survivor's guilt is real, people.
R70, the public may demand to know, but it has no right to know.
All of this reminds me too much of the gladiator spectacles.
I knew a kid in high school who shot and killed his older brother when they were hunting. There were many whispers that he did it on purpose because the older brother was an abusive asshole.
When the younger brother came back to school a week or so later, he was totally devoid of emotion. He looked straight ahead, refusing to acknowledge anyone, including his friends. As the school year went on, he gradually grew thinner and his body became more rigid. The following year, his family moved away. I didn't know anyone who had contact with them, so I don't know what happened with the boy.
I always thought if he knew about the rumors it had to be devastating, whether or not they were true.
I knew the older brother and he was a total jerk, but that didn't mean his brother killed him.
I imagine no one in the family knew about her bragging. I really don't know how many parents know what their kids do on the internet. Probably not many. And since most social media interaction is done on phones, it's probably harder to police teens. This family probably didn't try too hard to find out what she was up to
R69 What human being would revel in attention that was the result of loosing your family?
That's my point, even if its just that she is not outwardly emotional like some people, the fact remains that she is enjoying the attention and encouraging it, she likes it and she does this fully aware that her mother and little brother were tortured and murdered.
Where there is smoke there is fire.
R67 That's a really sad story, did the family attempt to get this young man counseling before he had his meltdown?
[quote]Why isn't Hannah wearing all black, mourning the deaths of her younger brother and Mom?
Because this isn't the British Empire in 1904 and she's not a countess? That would be my first guess.
[quote]Where there is smoke there is fire.
That's what stupid people say.
R45: did she think her father isn't her father? COuld diMaggio be her real father? Was the dead brother fathered by someone else, which is why "the father" doesn't seem that upset?
Things that make you go, hmmmmmmmmmmm....
Or, R21, there is also the possibility that because of whatever DiMaggio had done over the years that the girl is incapable of emotion period. IF she participated in the murders and fled willingly with DiMaggio, that seems like the most likely scenario to me.
Off topic but WHAT has happened to people that "loosing" is used to much where "losing" is meant? Stupidity? Lack of education? Is it a DL "thing"#idiocy?
The father is pretty cold hearted, R79, if he doesn't give a shit that the boy he raised from birth because he thinks DiMaggio might have been the sperm donor.
[quote]Where there is smoke there is fire.
Sometimes, but not always. Fire is not the only source of smoke.
Even if her behavior is reprehensible, you're so busy finding something wrong with her, you would never be able to think there might be other reasons for her behavior beyond your preconceptions.
R77, I know that this isn't 1904 but don't people still wear dark or conservative clothing in public after a very tragic loss?
There were about a dozen phone calls between the girl and uncle in the hours before the murders. Maybe they were talking about the weather, or the new fall TV shows.
On the one hand she's telling people that she's scared of him and creeped out, but on the other hand her behavior doesn't reflect that at all.
She continues to spend time with him, even alone. She accepted gifts from him. She talks on the phone with him on 13 phone calls or whatever. Even if she couldn't tell her mom that she was scared of him there was her father, her grandparents, etc.
Her sexual promiscuity based on her online posts is a symptom of a history of sexual abuse. I don't think, as some have suggested, that people are using it as a sign of a moral failing on her part.
Yeah, but the cops haven't elaborated on who was calling who or how many times R85.
Maybe she called that morning to confirm the trip and he kept calling her up afterward because he's obsessed with her. We also don't know how many were calls and how many were conversations.
There are just too many unknowns at this point.
If Hannah was black, would we even be talking about this?
If Hannah was black, they wouldn't have sent a battalion into the backwoods of Idaho to save her.
Shit, we never even would have heard any of this. The house fire and murder of the mother and son would have been chalked up to a gang war or crack deal gone bad. It probably wouldn't have even made the local news.
They should give black girls a kit in case of emergencies that includes a blonde wig and light face paint with instructions to apply if kidnapped before screaming for help.
"She continues to spend time with him, even alone. She accepted gifts from him"
Jerry Sandusky's victims spent lots of alone time with him and accepted gifts from him...
Look at the racist troll at R88. Always trying to derail a thread with racist bullsh!t.
There are differing levels of involvement, R90.
Does accepting gifts and spending time with him alone end the discussion? Is it prima facie evidence that she's a manipulative psychopath whore that is equally complicit? No, of course not.
What is with the people on here who are afraid to even ask questions and get to the bottom of what happened? The slightest hint that there is more to the story and a Datalounge contingent comes rolling out screaming that we are anti-women and victim blamers and whatever else.
R90, some people don't comprehend the process of grooming.
Pedophiles put time and effort into grooming their victims, training them they must always do what they want and not ignore them or there will be consequences. Their victims are children who don't know how to fight off an adult predator. If what we're reading is true, DiMaggio put years into grooming this girl. He had become part of her so they wouldn't have believed her if she complained about him. I wonder if DiMaggio made the family dependent on him financially. It wouldn't surprise me.
[quote]What is with the people on here who are afraid to even ask questions and get to the bottom of what happened? The slightest hint that there is more to the story and a Datalounge contingent comes rolling out screaming that we are anti-women and victim blamers and whatever else.
The problem is that you're asking questions and wanting to get to the bottom of what happened on a gossip board frequented by people who have no more information or answers than you do.
I think most of us can spot a witch hunt when we see one, unless we're participating.
R78 It's the stupid ones like you that can't think outside the box or read between the lines.
I pity you.
Yes, I am speculating on a gossip site. Just like you are. Your point?
I don't know where you are spotting a witch hunt. As already stated, we're all just folks talking shit back and forth on somewhere it makes absolutely no difference.
Unless you are on Datalounge from the church near her house, and depending on the outcome of the debate on this very board the congregation might gather up the pitchforks and march on her home, in which case I guess you have other problems.
Actually, either way it sounds like you have other problems.
"What is with the people on here who are afraid to even ask questions and get to the bottom of what happened? The slightest hint that there is more to the story and a Datalounge contingent comes rolling out screaming that we are anti-women and victim blamers and whatever else."
People like you only want to "ask questions" when the victim is female. If a girl accepts money, gifts, and trips from an adult male then she's a whore but if a boy does the same thing he is an innocent little angel.
I understand why some people are a little suspicious. There has been similar cases in the past in which the daughter/son was actually involved in the murder of their parents by the person they were dating. Teenagers are still developing so their behavior can often appear odd or erratic. They don't always fully understand what's appropriate and what isn't, particularly after a situation like this. We really don't know what she's feeling or how she's grieving when she's alone. I'll reserve judgment for now.
Not true, R98. Lots of people still asking questions about Shawn Hornbeck, for example.
This is why the Fraus get so upset when stuff like this happens, perhaps?
People think Shawn Hornbeck had something to do with his own kidnapping? What are the questions people have about Shawn Hornbeck?
"This is why the Fraus get so upset when stuff like this happens, perhaps?"
As opposed to dumbass gay guys who bitch about boys getting abused but don't care about female victims?
R102, I don't think that people believe Shawn had anything to do with his own kidnapping. They just can't understand why he didn't try harder to run away. Weren't there any opportunities when his abductor went to work? What was in Shawn's personality or mental state that made him a survivor but so passive? We really don't know what happened or the specifics.
Shawn most likely experienced Stockholm Syndrome. It's too early to tell what really went down with this girl's abduction and the murders of her mother and brother but there are already a lot of unsavory things that seem to be commonplace with a lot of other similar cases: highly unstable family situation, presence of sexual predators and child molesters in the immediate neighborhood, highly inappropriate relations with adults who seem to fill the void left by negligent or absent parents, etc. To put it briefly: a recipe for disaster.
if Richard Pryor were reading this thread,he might say...
16 yr old white girl with a suspect facebook history, oh no she couldn't be a criminal,A CRIMINAL...!!!...she couldn't have allowed her mother and brother to be tortured and murdered,my God no she must have been groomed,GROOMED...!!!...the poor thing must have been Traumatized....TRAUMATIZED...!!!
17 yr old black boy with a suspect twitter history,oh fuck yeah, this black mthrfckr must have been doing something illegal or at least thinking about doing something illegal...Ni&&ER...!!!...Ni&&ER...!!!...Ni&&ER...!!!...Ni&&ER...!!!
I see, R104. But the questions people are asking about Hannah's involvement are a little different.
"17 yr old black boy with a suspect twitter history,oh fuck yeah, this black mthrfckr must have been doing something illegal or at least thinking about doing something illegal...Ni&&ER...!!!...Ni&&ER...!!!...Ni&&ER...!!!...Ni&&ER...!!!"
If it was a white boy DLers would be calling him a "hero" and an innocent little angel like those Jerry Sandusky victims trying to get money from tell-all books and tv interviews.
R98, I don't think she is a whore for a second, but I do think she was involved with this guy. She has probably been abused/brainwashed by him for years. The police have given her just enough rope to hang herself.
R107, Of course Shawn was in a completely different situation, and didn't know his kidnapper at all. He wasn't being groomed or encouraged to be provocative. I do wonder what his relationship was with his natural father, and other adult men, however. I don't know whether or not it's true, but I've been told that predators read their prey very carefully for certain signs of passivity.
By the way I just started a new thread with a poll speculating on the possibilities of Hannah's guilt or innocence, in degrees.
This thread should be shut down, webmaster.
It's all speculation, and it's disgusting!
R111, That's what we do on DL. Speculate until we find out we're wrong. Why is that not all right? It's like trying to solve a good mystery.
Put it this way. The more people that maintain interest in the case, the greater the likelihood that money will be given to family members, for their side of the story for a book or film. That way they'll be able to afford burial and counseling expenses, without local fundraisers.
Did anyone ever find out what Terri Moulton did to little Kyron Horman?
And nobody found out what James Guckert was doing when he stayed overnight in the White House numerous times.
Johnny Gosch, use his real name
What R89 wrote. Verbatim.
R65, His parents, his sister, the school, his close friends and girlfriend all encouraged to seek professional help. They recognised that what appeared to us to be indifference was in fact a disaster waiting to happen. But apparently he told his mom "why would I want to talk to anyone about this and have to re live it? I'm just going to try and forget it ever happened". Of course it's not that simple, but lord knows he tried, day in day out behaving like he was fine, never mentioning his friend, never missing class, going out with his friends. And the more "normally" he behaved the more he freaked everyone out. None of us knew however that he was having nightmares or staying awake all night to avoid dreaming about his friend. The first I heard of it was when my mom spoke to his mom which was about a week before he flipped out. I remember going to school and telling a couple of friends that he was not as ok as he seemed. Some of my friends were relieved by this because we expect grieving people to behave a certain way and because he didn't walk around distraught and grieving we wrote him off as a heartless freak. Not that any of us knew what he was going through but we judged him anyway.
Something is not right about this family. The dad Bret Anderson showed no emotion towards his wife and son. He barely mentioned them at all in the entire time, where is the grief for them? I understand you are separated from your wife, but how about the 8-year-old Ethan, for God's sake, he was burnt to death, where is your outrage? And remember he made that plea and urged Hannah to run, he neglected to make any mention of Ethan and that was before the body can be identified by the police. I believe under the circumstance most people would keep the faith their loved ones are still alive. Also after the rescue, Hannah posted online and referred the loss of her dog, mother and his little brother, in that order!
For you, r89.
He could be fucked up re: women, but this was spot on.
I lost it at the keychain comment.
This just gets weirder. There are photos of her at the memorial service for her mother and brother, and she is drinking a fucking Starbucks iced coffee at the service. Who does that? It had whipped cream on it too, and she clearly needs to watch her calories.
